The exposed stonework behind the bed. Very comfortable mattress. Light oak wood doors and wall trim. Bridge mural. Design layout of room was very good. Good strong, secure entry door. Location. Chairs very comfortable. Ability to close off the kitchen area. Plenty of space. Double glazed windows good at keeping street noise low when closed.⁸

Shower light only half working. Overhead shower nozzle drips cold water onto me when showering. Shower door leaked. Bathroom flooring water damaged by previous guests. E Kitchen hob extractor fan didn't work. Lack of kitchen work space. No frying pans. Quality of cookware was poor, saucepan handles all loose( tightened with a knife tip). Corkscrew was bent. No scissors. No cooks knives. No microwave cookware. No response to emergency call when fire alarm sounded. Behind wardrobe light has upper lamp not working. Not enough power sockets. Not enough English language channels on TV. Policy on late checkouts not helpful. No safe. Lack of basic maintenance.

On the lower area of Gaia, easy to walk around, near shops, restaurants and the riverfront. Can’t get more convenient than this. Even though there is no front desk person, the admins respond very quickly to requests. The apartments are beautiful, clean, nicely decorated. We had beautiful views from the upper floors.

To be aware of rather than a problem: you only get the code to enter the building and room close to their determined check in time, so you can’t leave bags at reception if you arrive earlier, for example. Also I would have liked a queen size bed, but the double bed was still comfortable.

Nice room, good use of space! Upstairs balcony with a pretty view. Bed was very comfortable, room climate was pristine, and the stone wall gave a nice ambiance. The river is just 2 minutes by foot!!

The kitchen needs more utensils. There were no knives for cutting vegetables. Doing the dishes was very annoying as there were no dish towels. Water quality is poor, but no worse than anywhere else in Portugal. I would recommend a water filter for drinkable water. Furthermore, we experienced some trouble with paying the tourism tax, as the website wouldn't accept our credit cards (we tried multiple) and at first the amount was all wrong (47€ instead of 6€). After a back and forth with the staff, we decided to pay via transaction. This issue should be fixed, as I don't intend to spend time on vacation trying to pay fees. Maybe add paypal or direct transactions to the payment methods. The staff was kind enough to let us check in regardless.

Size of the room was great, location was amazing as it is just set back from the main road so very close to the river and restaurants but you hear none of the noise.

One of the reasons we chose the room was for air-conditioning to cool down our little one after a hot day sightseeing but the unit was not very effective at cooling the whole apartment as it was located by the front door and and down the small corridor away from the main bedroom.

This property was gorgeous, so well located and a dream to stay in. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything was modern and comfortable. The best accommodation in Portugal we have had. Such great value for money. It was lovely to walk across the bridge to the other side of Porto each day. Plenty of cafes, bar, s eateries and supermarkets nearby.

The apartment is located near the bridge, hill, and wineries and you can walk to the spots in at most 2-30 mins. The condition of the room was good. There's nothing i've felt inconvenience about.

The location was awesome. Accommodation was just what we needed for a relaxed and super comfortable stay, Highly recommend Reis de Gaia and would absolutely stay again.

Great location and very comfortable apartment with everything as described. Modern design and in very good condition with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

Unbelievable view to the Douro River and sunset!! Premium location, next to wine points and restaurants both sides of the river!
