The hotel was quirky, moody and a little seductive. The king room was large and spacious with a delightful bath tub to relax in. The central location was ideal for shopping and visiting the NSW Art Gallery (walking distance) or other attractions like the QVB. The bed was soft, but comfortable. There were blackout curtains, which aided a good nights sleep. Free Wi-Fi and you can share cast to the TV from your mobile device. Breakfast was wonderful and I recommend the crumpets and the Love Beets juice. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Word of warning on car parking if you are planning to self drive - park at the Wilson Secure Parking on 271 Pitt Street (short walk to hotel). The parking is cheaper and is open 24 hours. Validate your card and pay for parking at the reception desk before you leave. The parking at 55 Market street is enter with credit card only and you may be told to go somewhere else by the parking attendant (like we were). You will need to exit with the same credit card, but there was no charge within a few minutes of entering. On the second night we stayed there was thumping music coming from somewhere. It was annoying, but it didn't last past 11pm.

Staff were excellent to deal with, professional and friendly. The room was comfortable and large with a comfortable bed and very well stocked mini bar, cold drinks and snacks. Huge bathroom and decent sized wardrobes. Fantastic location, close to shops, parks, restaurants and public transport.

Ambience a little too dark for me. My room (212) had two windows, one in the bathroom and the other in the bedroom which was strange considering both faced the same concrete corner with no natural light coming through. Not sure there was a point in putting windows in that room. Perhaps some artwork on the concrete could brighten up the view? My room was also directly facing the lifts so heard people talking. Weird mechanical thumping at around 1am each night and also can hear people walking in their room upstairs. Not the best hotel I’ve stayed in.

The room was HUGE and extremely quiet, even though the hotel is in a busy part of town. The bed was really comfortable allowing for a nice night's sleep. The Dyson hair dryer was the best hotel hair dryer I've ever used! The decor of the entire hotel was quirky and fun. Don't need housekeeping? Rack up $10/day and spend it at the cafe on your last day there. The hotel also offered to hold our luggage for 3 days for free while we trekked to Tasmania! I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

The lighting in the bathroom needed to be brighter. Putting on makeup accurately was near impossible. The shower also needed a door of deeper area as water splashed out quite far.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Excellent location. Walk to most of the city's tourist attractions, plus shopping on the doorstep, and bus to Bondi a 5 minute walk away. Double glazed windows keep out the traffic noise, and rooms are quiet and spacious. This is quirky hotel where the emphasis is on mood (romantic) and lighting (low). High recommend.

We wanted coffee at QT's ground floor coffee shop but staff would not serve us before 7am, which seems crazy in a city where it's light well before 6am. Also, the music in the elevator could be improved. It is too loud, and not everyone wants to listen to funk and pop all the time.

I loved the hotel - it was funky, unusual and the architecture of the building was really interesting. I really loved that high end brands were used including Kevin Murphy products, a brand I know and love. Everything I needed was there.

My only complaint was managed extremely well by the staff. There were some expired mini bar products which I didn't realise until after I had started eating them. I mentioned it to the staff at check out and her response was excellent- an apology and my other mini bar item was complimentary. Giving staff the autonomy to make decisions like that is excellent customer service.

Excellent location for a State Theatre show. We were back in our room before most people had crossed the road from the theatre. Very retro, with many visual references to a bygone age! The quirkiness of the buildings renovation which harked backed to its day as an iconic clothing store (Gowings) was impressive. Bowler Hat lamp shades were a lovely touch. Lovely view overlooking the magnificent QVB. Big rooms. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast options limited. Basically a half hearted referral to the down stairs restaurant if you were interested. On saying that, there were many food places near bye,

Every staff member was exceptional. The room was comfortable and well-sized with a reasonable view and the bed itself was great. We ate breakfast downstairs at Parlour one morning which was good. We ate dinner one evening at Gowings which was excellent. I enjoyed the layout and design of the room and the overall vibe of the hotel. The location literally could not be better. I loved the addition of a Marshall bluetooth speaker in the room - this was a great touch. A fun and easy stay; I would happily recommend this stay to others.

The external window could have been cleaner which would have made for a nicer view. The hair dryer in the bathroom was missing essential parts (although I acknowledge that these could have been removed by other guests). Room cleaning service came later in the day than we expected. These are all minor issues which did not affect the overall enjoyment of the stay, which was very high.

Perfectly located in the heart of the CBD. Everything was within walking distance - just what we needed. Facilities were fantastic, and the little touches to the room were perfect. Really appreciated the Kevin Murphy toiletries and the Dyson hairdryer! The decor of the entire hotel was so intriguing and unique. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly - they even offered a service for childcare which I’ve not seen before. We’ve made a note to come back and utilise more of the facilities as we were strapped for time during this trip. They even have the cutest bar on the ground floor. I definitely recommend!

Wish we could pop open a window or two in the Twin room. They were all closed shut, however this isn’t a major issue as the aircon was lovely and just what we needed

Beautifully appointed hotel. Room was spacious & very comfortable. The hotel staff were all exceptional & welcoming. Loved disco dancing in the lifts every time. The hotel is ideally located for getting out & about in Sydney & so close to the light rail stop at QVB.

There really was nothing negative. But one odd thing: stayed 5 nights, & after my room was cleaned on night 2 my room robe disappeared & never reappeared. It was a little annoying as I found the robe really handy when you jumped out of the bath. I didn't pack my own knowing a hotel of this caliber would supply them. Where did the robes go?? My friend who I was travelling with also had this happen to her. Very strange.

QT Sydney is right in the middle of the Central Business District (CBD). If you want to stumble out the door and have all right there, this is the place. The upstairs bar at Gowlings has a good bar menu and an even better menu of Spritzes with Tasmanian Gin. The room was large with a comfortable bed, huge window, 2 comfy high backed chairs and perfectly outfitted bathroom with double vanity and Kevin Murphy hair and body products - your own salon right inside the bathroom.

The room was dark with chocolate brown walls, dark curtains, deep red/plum rug and dark bathroom tile. The ceiling was a least white.
