Our check in was smooth- without any issues and the receptionist was cheerful and welcoming. The room was incredible - quiet, spacious and immaculate. The bathroom was luxurious and enormous. The attention to every little detail was evident, right down to the complimentary chocolates and bottles of water left for us in the evening. We made excellent use of the Executive Lounge and enjoyed the privacy of its location and the food offerings. The gym was well equipped and very clean. The Fullerton Hotel has perfected the experience of a beautiful hotel stay. The location inside the old post office is stunning and the foyer is breathtaking. This is by far our favorite Sydney hotel.

Offered an upgrade to Premium Tower King, lovely room on Level 16 directly opposite the GPO Clock Tower, Fabulous full face view of the Clock Tower and Big Brother Clock. Did the Heritage tour of the building which was very interesting and informative, learnt so much about the importance and history of the building providing not only postal services but telegraph and later telephone services Handy to light rail for Circular Quay, Town Hall, QVB shopping, the hotel houses a bar and restaurant and car parking is available.

Paid in full at Check In by C/Card, but hotel had also taken a pre-approved value to cover the accommodation from my C/Card which I am still waiting to have released - after check out. 3 days after paying in full. I'm sure it will all be okay, but this should not have happened, once payment is received, pre-approval should be released immediately. Also, arrived to check in at 3pm, room was not available, so parked the car in the car park below and back 10 minutes later,, still not available. Waited in the bar till 4pm before room was available. Not good enough really, should have been offered complimentary drink/s, or breakfast one day or extended check out time for the inconvenience.

The room was large, light and comfortable with a nice view of the clock tower. The old post office building is very attractive. The gym is very attractive with a reasonably good range of equipment. Food quality is good. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

A few small details that are annoying for a hotel like the Fullerton: -they were unable to supply me reliably with mugs instead of cups. I had to make a special request for mugs on the majority of my days. (Of course I could just have bought one). Tea spoons were missing one day. -The piped music in the gym was very unusual, including funereal organ recitals. -Leaky tap.

Excellent hotel with top location. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The view of the clock tower from our room was amazing.

I have booked a twin room with two double beds, but instead the room given was with two single beds. Asked the reception to get the correct room booked but they were insisting they were double beds even though they admitted in front of me that they have never seen the room and the beds. In such kind of hotels like The Fullerton, they should treat every customer complain with proper care, but I didn't see this from the reception staff and the supervisor.

Location was great everything we required was at the motel. Restaurant was amazing for Dinner and Breakfast and was not overpriced. Bedding was clean and fresh and they even supplied toothbrushes and toothpaste, bathrobes and slippers. They accommodated my request for a quiet room and upgraded us.

Regular checkin time was a bit late being 3pm which meant we couldn’t arrive early without an extra fee. The room had dark stains on the wall next to the desk like coffee had been splashed against it. The furniture was very tired with the laminate peeling off the bedside tables. The minibar cabinet had broken edges.

The room was very spacious, with a number of lounge chairs in the room , my booking included breakfast and it had a wife selection of food, I can recommend the Fullerton signature omelette with sun dried tomatoes, feta and mushrooms, nice coffee pod machine, complimentary water, it wasn’t easy ti find local channels on the television and the access to wifi wasn’t intuitive, there were no instructions in the room to log on either

It would have been hard to select anything that I didn’t like, I found it strange that the separate toilet had a sink but no handwash in the area. Bathroom tiles were large with the potential to be slippery.

I wanted an early check-in and was willing to pay extra to guarantee an early check-in (per the automated response from the Fullerton when I made my reservation). No one ever responded to my request and I tried to contact the hotel in multiple ways. That was very frustrating and caused concern that the Fullerton would be a bad choice (we considered cancelling our reservation because of the lack of response).

The room was large, clean and comfortable. Great soundproofing as well and we didn't hear any traffic sounds even though we were right in the city centre and Sydney is a very crowded city with lots of traffic. Location of the hotel was also fantastic being right in the heart of city so it was easy to walk to most places of attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants. Or you can take the trams and buses which are within minutes. The hotel, which is in the old GPO building has preserved the history of this amazing building and offers free guided tours for not just hotel guests but anyone who is interested. The 1.5hr tour was so fascinating and informative - we learnt so much about the history of the GPO, its construction over the years, the people involved in the building and those who worked in the GPO. Thoroughly recommend the GPO tour as a must-do activity! There is a little cafe - Two Penny Coffee right outside the front lobby of the hotel which served one of the best coffees and had yummy breakfast rolls, frittata and other baked items. Great to have this convenience! And a beautiful luxed up Latin American restaurant in the hotel called Morena - amazing food, service and atmosphere - a must-eat dining experience. And if anyone wants to indulge in a spa treatment, Endota spa is also within the hotel building for a lovely experience.

We could not fault anything.

I wanted to stay at The Fullerton for a very long time due to it being partially housed in a historic building. It was also the favourite hotel of someone I knew and they always stayed here whenever they were in Sydney. Serendipitously, I arrived at the hotel and was told I had been given a room upgrade to one in the heritage wing! As someone who is very fond of history and heritage sites, it was like a dream come true. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious, and there were plenty of amenities.

Shower temperature adjustment needed some maintenance since it only fluctuated between very hot and very cold and I wasn't able to adjust it to the right temperature. Also, definitely not at all the hotel's fault but during the stay, the former headquarters of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia building opposite the room window was covered in scaffolding for renovations. It would've been nice to get to enjoy the view. Maybe next time!

Such a large and really beautiful room, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. My room was opposite the clock, I was slightly sceptical as to how quiet that would be, but it wasn't a nuisance and was so lovely to look at, especially when lit up at night time. Staff were really lovely and housekeeping services were excellent - the room was very clean and they kindly noticed which type of coffee pods I was using, and left more of these which was appreciated. The staff are very welcoming, they acknowledge you as you come and go, and are helpful if you have any queries. The staff on the concierge service were great, and those in charge of the cars/drive/bags also. The location was very good - a ten minute walk down to Circular Quay. And most of the other key attractions are only a short walk away as well.

The downstairs bar area isn't the best atmosphere to eat at dinner - I found it to be quite dark, which is probably great if you are using it just for drinks. I'm not sure whether the main dining area upstairs is open each night (I only went up once when apparently it was open though didn't see any guests). I think the building work downstairs is for a new restaurant which I imagine would be really nice. As someone with multiple food allergies/intolerances, I found the dinner options downstairs mixed - the vegan Singapore curry was excellent, though on a different night, asking for an adjustment to the salad seemed to be very difficult though I think it might just have been the person I spoke to.
