Location and cleanliness

The tv didn’t work for most of the night which wasn’t good as we just wanted a chilled night in but suppose it can’t be helped

Really nice hotel chosen as it was not to far from my family and had plenty of parking. Initially we were not told where breakfast was when we checked in but asked later. Gym facilities good and breakfast had a range of items to suite everyone. Cookies are a welcome bonus my son loved them. Nice range of shops and restaurants close by.

Design flaw with the hotel as there is only 1 central lift and you have to walk the long corridors with your bags which seem to narrow the further you went we were in 3076. Pillows were super super soft

We were given the option to upgrade (for a modest additional charge) and it was well worth it. The king-sized room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The huge windows looked out over the stadium and it was fascinating to see players warming down and ground staff preparing the pitch. The free parking was also appreciated.

A couple of small grumbles. I was asked to go down to reception at quite an inconvenient time, because my earlier contactless payment had not been taken. Surely this could have been noticed when I originally presented my card (?), avoiding the interruption to my evening. Also, a bar which we had enjoyed using on a previous visit to the DoubleTree is now only available to members and premium category ticket holders. The bar we were allowed in to (on the ground floor) was quite sparse and lacked atmosphere.

The bed was a little uncomfortable

- Bed was very comfortable - Fridge in room is very useful - Reception staff were helpful - Well stocked toiletries and the option to get extra or items forgotten from reception - Very clean - Lovely view of pitch from 4th floor

- An additional £24 on top of our already pricey stay (prices were increased as it was Moto GP weekend). Absolutely no need to charge an additional £8 per night to paying hotel customers, it’s greedy and quite frankly off putting. Usually stay here every year to attend the GP but this has very much put me off. - There was a roof leak on 4th floor which was dealt with by placing towels and a plastic bucket underneath the hole in the roof. This was like this for our 3 night stay. You are a multi national company, I would expect an issue like that would be rectified promptly. It looked very poor.

No hand soap dispenser in rooms to wash your hands . Also staff in the bar opposite reception were extremely rude purchased drinks and some nuts and the nuts had expired by a whole month took them up to the bar and the poor male was asking the females to stop talking and come serve I stood at the bar ages . finally the lady came over after finishing her conversation with the other female I told her about the nuts she just looked at me like I was deluded . I then said we’ll can I have something else please and maybe worth checking the rest as I am a retail manager this is the only thing I found was a disappointment as there was just no need to be so rude !! .

The welcome is always great on reception (we max a Greek lady, but apologies, I did not get her name). And the breakfast staff, particularly the lady from Dundee who couldn’t be more helpful and adorable early on a Sunday morning! The bed and pillows! Had a lovely sleep.

Always the same as me issue in these hotels. Clearly designed by a man! Please add a mirror you can actually see your face in! Either an extending lit mirror as the lighting is so bad in the rooms and the bathroom one you can’t get close enough too. I ended up buying a small one across the road.

This was our first time staying at a Double Tree Hilton hotel and to be quite honest we were pleasantly surprised. Our room overlooked the stadium which was a big plus as there was an MK Dons match the night we stayed. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless,light and bright. The bed was very comfortable and large (we booked King size) All of the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice including vegan options. It's a perfect location for visiting Bletchley Park and there's no doubt we would stay here again when we return to visit Bletchley Park.

The only negative is we thought our room was a bit dark in its decor...but that's really a minor point.
