We've stayed at this hotel many times as it's convenient for visiting family and friends. It's always spotlessly clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is reasonable bar food and a comfortable lounge area. The breakfasts are usually good, but on this visit, I thought the quality was not good, eg, apples that looke unappetising,oranges that needed peeling and a berry medley, which can be a bit sour. The hot food was very good but The hotel has been fully booked for weeks, I heard, and I think there are staffing issues, and everyone seemed very stressed compared with a recent previous visit before the school holiday. Maybe Holiday Inn Express needs to pay for a few more staff or managers to smooth out these minor hiccups.

Apart from the parking charge we liked everything.

The hotel is dog friendly which was great for us! The bar seating was right by the restaurant which made it easy for breakfast because the dog couldn’t go in to the restaurant. The beds were quite comfy. WiFi was excellent too!

The family rooms are tight on space. A family of 4 is a struggle when the sofa bed and double bed is out. Paying for parking isn’t fair when you’ve paid for the hotel anyway. Should be free. Would be nice to have a bath too. Family room - would think they would consider a bath for the children.

Nice and spacious room, good lighting, clean and comfortable, lovely reception team and not a bad location at all. Nice breakfast overall apart from the juice options which were obviously diluted with water but not a disaster.

Firstly, the parking charge considering the trending cost of hotel is unreasonable, it should be included in the price. Then, in the room a couple of things - carpet is stained in multiple locations and likely needs replacing. No sockets close to the bed. And the most annoying part is that the shower seemed to be bit clogged likely due to a lack of pipe cleaning. Something to look at. There are ongoing renovations happening on the 2nd floor. I have requested for a quieter room so I could get a better night sleep and there were multiple carpenters working and being super noisy from before 8am which is absolutely ridiculous.

Location was good. Had macdonalds next to the hotel which was great for the kids. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Room space was OK for a family of 4. Kids had space to move around. There's a fee to pay to park your car. You can pay from the tablet style screen at reception. Its £5 untill the following morning and you get a discount code from the receptionist. Dove hand soap and body shampoo was provided in the bathroom which was great as we tented to use that brand. Breakfast was good, had good choices.

The iron in the room was falling apart. As we went down for breakfast we told the receptionist. She apologised and offered a replacement. The 1st room we had the A/C didn't work. We was offered some fans for the room or we could move to another room. We decided to move rooms as we wanted the A/C. The orange juice at breakfast wasn't tasty. Tasted more like diluted orange juice.

Breakfast was varied and great value but swamped at peak times. Staff working hard to keep up but tables insufficient as was parking

Parking insufficient for hotel guests. Yes McDonald's is there but on a first visit you have no idea if you're going to wake up to a parking ticket for being in the wrong area. McDonald's have clearly marked their zone and the hotel parking is insufficient. I didn't get any tickets but left early. Maybe hotel staff could 'hint' at this scenario?

The staff were all exceptional, really friendly, excellent customer service skills at any time of the day or night. It was so refreshing to have a cheery hello and a polite how was your day, no matter what time of the day or night. The "team effort" was visible too, right from the maintenance man to the duty manager. This was our first time staying with you (we usually stay with a rival company (the "purple one") but you'd been recommended and we were not disappointed. We really appreciated that as one of us has a disability we were able to register our car and so if there wasn't a designated disabled parking space, it still meant that I could be dropped off at the door and then park using the blue badge in one of the many other spaces available.

If anything then the lack of plug sockets/mobile phone sockets next to the bed was a let down, the low level socket beneath the mirror was difficult to access due to my disability The only other thing would be the attempt at "funky lighting" with the "spaghetti light" hanging from the ceiling - it just looked out of place and out of keeping - but that is more likely to be down to personal taste .

Great location. Good, clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff with easy check in and departure. Plenty of parking - this was a busy weekend due to the concert at the castle which we attended. Friends staying at other hotels such as Premier Inn had reported major parking issues which is never a good start to a trip. McDonalds on site. We never used it for food or drinks though a good thing to have next door. I did however use their fast chargers for my car before the journey home.

Nothing major. I know they are available from reception but a few more teabags etc. in the room would be nice. Breakfast room was completely full, as was lobby area. I know this is really out of the hotel's control as they don't know what time people will come through but maybe some kind of plan / arrangement to cope with large influxes at one time would help.

Lovely food, great English breakfast with a good variety of food on offer, although North American spouse would have liked to have seen pancakes. Special applause for the breakfast sausages and the coffee. Super friendly staff, who furnished us liberally with extra teabags and milk, chatting happily as they did so. Very appreciative of the air con and free WiFi. Everything worked. Everything was clean - like other chain hotels. Also, very quiet, which is important to me as I am easily woken, so for once I had a good night's sleep.

can't think of anything. We have bumped your chain up our list of preferred places to stay as we had a similar good experience at another of your hotels recently.

Booked the hotel because we were attending a gig at Warwick Castle nearby. The location is superb, just a four minute drive away. The bed was comfy and clean, and the parking was discounted. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. The bar was open late and the prices weren't too bad. The included breakfast was great too. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if in the area. There's also a McDonald's next door if that's your thing.

Couldn't fault it, but if I had to pick something, the breakfast plates are small - but you can go back again. Be like Alan Partridge and take your own big plate.

Met all our requirements whilst travelling with two dogs, accommodated us with downstairs room, little goody bag for the dogs was presented to us Food was self service and very good, lots of seating to eat, dogs allowed in seating area nearer to reception which worked for us rather than having to leave them in the car

Charge of £25 per dog so £50 on top of the booking for us. We accept we have to pay for the dog to be with us in the room but as responsible dog owners they were well behaved, on leads, taken out for their business even in the middle of the night as one is a puppy. Our dogs don't disturb others by barking so believe the charge was excessive. We have stayed at other places where the charge is £10/15 which is an acceptable charge. Although we understand that not all dog owners are responsible and the hotel is left to fix any problems left
