the Dinner was excellent, good value and well presented. The service in the dining room was attentive. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Very pleasant and peaceful pleasant surroundings to wander around. We particularly liked the lake with its islands.

Internal decorations and furnishings are looking a little dated. The common parts had an institutional feel. The breakfast was bad. Piles of greasy bacon and slippery hard fried eggs cooked earlier were desperately trying to keep warm under heaters. No fresh yoghurt and poor fresh fruit offering.

We stayed on the second floor in the modern block across the courtyard from the main hotel building. This building has the 'wedding' reception rooms on the ground floor. The room was spacious and comfortable with nice views. The breakfast was buffet style and was decent but not exceptional. The breakfast room was light and airy with nice views over the gardens. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but visited nearby Henley for an excellent Chinese meal. We used the tennis courts (which are bookable at the leisure centre reception) and they are excellent. This was the main reason for choosing the hotel and we weren't disappointed.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night in July so the hotel was very busy. On the Friday night there was a wedding as well as a separate event in another function room. Consequently it was very noisy until after midnight, even with the windows closed. To be expected for a hotel that provides weddings but something to bear in mind. It also seems to be popular with 'lads' golfing weekends so even though there was not a specific event on the Saturday night, we were still disturbed by guests returning to their rooms very drunk late at night. Again partly due to the fact that it was a very hot weekend, but having the windows open meant the chances of being disturbed were much greater. Recommend a white noise machine/app on your phone for weekend stays.

Great location Great size of the room I was doing spa day whilst my partner went for a golf day out. Great course! Great spa facilities! But there is a catch. Spa access isn't for those that pay for a room. You got to pay separately 25£ for access to use outside pool and spa sauna and steam room etc. Included is only indoor pool and steam room. Suggestions to get destination spa and get spa treatment 25min, light lunch and access to spa facilities.

Breakfast doesn't offer much Very poor selection No air con in the room Very warm in the night Suggestion- lighter blanket in the summer

The facials and back massage ladies were extremely friendly and accommodating.Thank you I liked the building and it’s surroundings plus deco

Our room was very cold. Was advised to turn off the air conditioner but it kept turning itself back on. Asked for a heater as advised by one of the managers. We phoned and it never came. Some staff were not pleasant and sometimes they ignored and this spoiled our stay.A hotel is a relaxing place and a get away from some stressful jobs etc and surely staff should try to be more welcoming. Got the impression that they are not used to seeing people of different colours in their business. My impression might be wrong but previous reviews were all positive which made us choose to book here

Stunning hotel. Asked for a quiet room and they gave us one didn’t hear a peep from other guests. Comfy bed clean room good facilities. Lovely pool (inside and out both with hot tubs). Good breakfast with fab selection of hot and cold foods. Really Beautiful trees and surrounding venue. Loved it will definitely be back.

My only niggle is instant coffee at breakfast. At a hotel of this calibre I would expect proper coffeee not instant in a hot pot which wasn’t very good and I couldnt drink.

Clean, comfortable. The Spa was excellent. And the surrounding area is nice. unfortunately it was raining, but could be wonderful in the summer to sit at the terrace looking at the lovely garden. The food at dinner was super.

it was a double room, but only one armchair. One of us had to sit on the bed. if it is a double room, should be 2 armchair. also some mold around the shower screen should be cleaned. The bar area could be bigger. We were standing around to wait for a table to free up, while the big restaurant was not open.

The location is perfect. The grounds are beautiful, especially the lakes. The breakfast and service were great. We will definitely stay here again

The lighting in the room was a bit dingy. Apart from the light at the entrance there were just 2 subdued lights by the bed and a desk lamp. There’s no lighting by the window which means that once the curtains were drawn the table and chair couldn’t be used for reading or writing

Yeh girls night away with 2 lovely clean rooms next to each other as requested with all the nice facilities you should need. Free parking on site. Comfortable bed. Tea/ coffee. Fan in room to keep you cool. Lovely indoor pool, busy jacuzzi ..however outside pool and spa facilities warrant a separate charge which is a shame ( looks nice thou). Hotel has facilities to book spa treatments ( daughter said the massage was wonderful!) . We all hired gowns. Restaurant meals at lunch and in the evening were delicious..umm… This hotel has gorgeous grounds ( check out the big carp fish from the bridge) and some indoor sports facilities. Squash court, table tennis. Play card/board games in the bar ( we did ). Big up to the staff as we found that they were all pleasant, professional and always helpfull.

Breakfast meals let’s this hotel down. This needs improvement. They do so well well with lunch and dinner so breakfast was a huge disappointment.

we had reservations first night at the restaurant. all was well, tasty. we do like to add our extras to the room at check out but everything was pay as you go. beautiful grounds to walk around. Out door terrace was lovely and we enjoyed a drink in the sun before the heavens opened up.....

only problem we had was with bed mattress it was rock hard. We requested a softer mattress or another duvet to be put on top of mattress. We received an extra duvet very quickly. I wish that decaf teabags would be supplied with all the other refreshments in the room

The breakfast was great and enjoyable ever morning of our stay. From the moment we checked in the staff were very caring and helpful throughout the stay. The room provided was of a high standard and very comfortable, unfortunately we were not able to stay in a room overlooking the lake, however the room was to a great area of the hotel and we overlooked the gardens and the golf course, this was a great location. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

Nothing bad to say, it is a great hotel which is well managed and maintained throughout.
