Room was a bit dated, but clean and spacious and had everything i need. Quiet, good location. Everyone I encountered on reception and in dining room were lovely. Felt like a little flat rather than a room.

The food was awful, but there was a tony macaroni down the road so I adapted to survive. Only other very small gripes were that I had a large kettle (which is good) but meant I had to fill it from the bath as it didnt fit under the sink, and the bathroom light was on a sensor, which because the door didn't close properly the light was going on and off during the night. This isn't a negative review at all just a few comments. The hotel and the staff were lovely and I would defo stay again.

Close to town bus stop very close. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was ‘compact’ but serviced as and when requested. Generally the breakfast was good ( why can’t anyone cook eggs these days?) breakfast staff were very helpful and cheery. Ample parking on site

Room was small, there was a double mirrored fitted wardrobe which turned out to be a single mirrored wardrobe with limited storage. Tea/ coffee making facilities were very cramped and filling the kettle in the bathroom sink was a crystal maze exercise. We have stayed here before but always had a room in the annexe which are better , if we were to stay again we’d request one of these.

We stayed at The Avonbridge Hotel as we were attending a family wedding in Motherwell. The team were very accomodating and organised an early check in and a travel cot in our room for our daughter. Our room was in the annex - 'The Priory'. We stayed in the McTaggart Room. The room was very spacious, good size bathroom with a bath and shower. Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee. Extra bonus... we had a fridge in our room too! Another bonus - only a 15 minute car journey to the wedding venue. Lovely friendly hotel.

This part is not because we didn't enjoy breakfast - breakfast once it arrived was good. We arrived for breakfast at 9am. There appeared to be only 1 member of staff meeting and seating guests. The breakfast room was very busy. We were happy to be seated in an adjoining room. It took quite some time for our breakfast order to be taken (40 minutes) and some options at the buffet were not replenished e.g. water and pastries. The staff member was very apologetic. Maybe if there had been more staff to support him, breakfast may have been more relaxed and smoother.

We stayed here for a visit at the races. I was a bit dubious as having read some bad reviews. I couldn't find fault with the hotel, it was good location, excellent value for money and just a short taxi ride to the racecourse. The hotel was spotless, room was very clean and tidy and had tea and coffee facilities. We decided to have lunch which was lovely and very good value. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I thought the breakfast was a bit expensive so I didn't eat there in the morning. A very small point, pillows were too hard, apart from that I was very pleased with the facilities and would recommend staying here.

Hotel has an old fashioned feel, with little corridors extending in various directions. Bedroom appears recently refurbished. Compact, clean and comfortable room, good value for an overnight stay. Had dinner in the inhouse restaurant, good menu, tasty food and a well stocked bar.

A problem using Google maps to locate the hotel. Actual location is called The Avonbridge. However if you search Avonbridge Hotel is pins to a private residential bungalow further down the road. Not a dislike, just an observation...Lot of noise as other guests ran along the corridor beside the room and external chatter from the open air bar - this silenced quickly as it closed at I think 10pm

Hotel was quite well decorated, well-lit. There was an option to check in late at night which was very convenient. The rooms were quite nice. The bathroom had a decently sized bathtub. There was an option for jacuzzi jets but unfortunately it did not work. However, the basic amenities were perfectly good. We were provided with tea, coffee and creamer sachets. There was a nice bath robe provided was well, which was a nice touch. The locality was quite decent and the drive was quite easy to reach the hotel. It was worth the price.

A lift would have been a nice touch.

The Avonbridge provided everything we needed for a weekend stay visiting Hamilton. The room was basic but comfortable, and very clean. The communal areas were really lovely and the staff were super helpful and friendly. All this alongside the great value of the room means we were extremely happy with our stay.

The rooms are dated for sure, but if you go with expectations that match the great value of the rooms then this shouldn't be considered a negative factor. Everything was clean, comfortable and functioning.

The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The bar staff were amazing and so very cheery . The many rooms to sit, eat or chill were great! The food was bloody good in the bar, we loved the pizzas, they were so delish! The location was great and our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft but really comfy.

Our bathroom light worked on a sensor and turned off quickly and was a pain when you were showering, sitting on the loo, or doing your makeup. Someone had used the iron prior to us and may have burnt something on it, which then transferred to my shirt. In all, not huge problems, just annoying.

Good location, staff helpful . We were in one of the annex suites which was spacious. Bathroom was large with a stand alone bath 🛁 and shower. Bar on site where you can get fresh baked pizza ( very nice) staff there were engaging and chatty. Situated 5-10 minutes walk into town. Bus stop nearby. Overall if we were coming back we’d book again.

Shower was a large headed over bath type, problem was its just not powerful enough . If you wanted a bath it needs to start filling about 15 minutes before use. Strangely there wasn’t a biscuit to be found with the tea coffee !!

Good value for money. Comfy bed, clean toilets, breakfast was decent too. There is a bar right next to the hotel and the drinks are amazing. The weather was quite hot and I requested a fan, one of the staff members very kindly provided me with a fan and it was then very convenient to stay and get some sleep.

It was a bit difficult to figure out the rooms as there is only one reception and then I had to walk through other buildings to get the room.
