Good location and view from our balcony was lovely over Dublin Bay

Bathroom door was broken at the bottom and made a noise when opening and shutting. Fixed panel over the bath made getting in and out to shower quite difficult

The family room was nice and spacious with very comfortable beds. The TV was modern which is always a massive plus the coffee facilities were also great. The bathroom had a bath/shower combo again very modern and easy to use. We had dinner in the hotel on Saturday night the food and service was great.

Overall the hotel is very nice but a children’s play area would have been great we recently stayed in a hotel in Denmark and they just had a staff member at breakfast in the corner doing face painting and colouring competition with some toys books and games and it meant the kids were occupied for a half an hour or so while mum and Dad had breakfast I would massively recommend this over the school holidays but the pool was great for kids and there are really lovely walks and playgrounds near by we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the Easter Eggs for my kids they were very happy

From the moment we arrived we were made extremely welcome by all staff, our room was upgraded to a suite which was absolutely beautiful the hotel facilities met all our needs , we ate in the Mapas restaurant on our second night to say the food and service was excellent is an understatement, breakfast room was bright and very relaxing, once again staff couldn't do enough for us food was delicious also . I would recommend Fitzpatricks for that few days rest and relaxation and we will definitely be back for another fantastic stay.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay.

Breakfast was amazing and there was no shortage of choice. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the restaurant, so can't comment there. The rooms were comfortable but we did find a few un-vacuumed flies on the floor. Some of the decor was a bit tired - there were damp lines along the ceiling, and the entrance to the pool could have done with an upgrade. But all in all, we would be keen to return.

The service at times was poor (in the lobby and at breakfast, when we waited a long time for a pot of tea). And the toast that was provided with breakfast wasn't nice. The choice of self service bread made up for that.

The staff was amazing!! From the moment we checked in we knew we had made the right choice for our anniversary lodgings! literally every contact we had for our 3-day stay was professional, courteous and kind. we checked in a little late, hungry after a long trip and were offered fresh sandwiches brought to our room. Jack was a trooper, as he had to make a couple of trips back and forth. every part of the hotel was spotless, the grounds perfectly landscaped. The breakfast was amazing, varied and delicious, and the staff attentive and helpful. But the most memorable event came on our 3rd day, when, as we leaving to finally meet some relatives at a restaurant at the Bray seafront, we were handed a bouquet of flowers and a lovely dessert. (I had mentioned it was our 7th anniversary on7/7) by Andrea, a top 10 employee, in my estimation! Not only that, they also mentioned that we were going to be spending our last night in a different room! When we got back that evening, we were shown our surprise-one of the most beautiful rooms we had ever seen! This topped off a wonderful trip to Ireland, and we will be back. Thanks again for all of the never to be forgotten memories. Our expectations had been met and exceeded many times over!

We were in the older part of the Castle and therefore, no elevator.

I had double booked the room by accident on this app. The hotel waived the second booking.

I made a genuine mistake on this app when booking, due to the payment apparently not going through the first time. And even though I don't seem to have got two payment confirmations at the time, when I arrived at the hotel, they had two bookings identical for me. Even though the hotel waived the second room fee, I had €62.86 charged to my credit card from booking.com. This leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The place had a wonderful ambiance. The rooms and bed are very comfortable and the water for baths was nice and hot.

Through no fault of their own, the gas broke in their kitchen, so none of the restarants were able to serve and food. This was a real problem for us as we did not have a car and town was a long walk. We planned to stay 4 days but decided to leave after 1st night. This would have been a huge hassel for us, but they transferred us over to a similar type hotel in the small town nearby. They also treated us to dinner with wine and breakfast each morning. We throughly ended up enjoying our stay. We felt the Fitzpatrick did a great job.

Beautiful and pleasant hotel; excellent Irish breakfast; swimming pool. Great breakfast room manager John and his team!!! Thank you for your kindness and delicious coffee every morning! The hotel stands in a magnificent park and you can walk to the top in 15 minutes - the viewpoint allows you to see the Irish skyline! A magical place :)

The only disappointment was that it is far from the sea, although in the photos it gave the impression of being close, meanwhile you have to walk about 20-30 minutes on your feet to reach the seafront.

we loved everything apart from the one staff member that was very rude & just ruined our experience .. the rest of the staff where very friendly & helpful .. just one in the pool area made us feel very uncomfortable & not welcome . so for this reason we would not return again unfortunately

I can't say enough about this place! The staff were phenomenal. There was such a wonderful attention to detail. We were there for a special occasion and they made very personalised gifts for my daughter and she felt like a real princess. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. We didn't get a chance to visit the other restaurants and bar but there seemed to be a lovely atmosphere when we passed them. The pool facilities were great and also very clean. I'd recommend to anyone staying in Dublin and thanks to the staff who made the stay so very special for my daughter.
