I grew up in Dublin and remember a time long ago before the hotel was built. The purpose of our stay was to meet friends and relatives whom we hadn't seen for a couple of years as we now live in Co. Donegal. We chose the hotel because of the location and the on-site parking. We put the car in the underground park and, except for two brief visits to friends, left it there for 3 days. There is regular public transport nearby, both bus and rail, with taxis on call. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.

The shower is over the bath. That is intrisically unsafe and we would have preferred a shower cubicle. Also, there was no extract fan in the bathroom. Some of the power sockets are of a type no longer used and don't match current plug types.

I had a nice stay, but I could only stay one night. It was nice to be near the Bridge 1859, a great bar a block away since I didn't have time to explore the town more fully. The Irish Stew was the best I've ever had.

Due to a delayed flight, I was forced to book 2 nights in Dublin which was supposed to be a one-hour layover. When I checked in, I told the desk I hoped to get an earlier flight home to my family and cancel the second night. They understood my problem but said that since I booked through Booking.com, I had to request a refund through them. So I did, and Booking.com reached out to the hotel, which promptly replied that they don't do refunds for reservations like mine. Funny, they seemed to be amiable to doing so, both when I arrived, and when I checked out after a one-night stay. I am quite disappointed in the disingenuous nature of their communications with me. In the end, I returned home to my grandkids only a day late, and the hotel got to keep my $200.

Excellent location in a really nice neighborhood with many public transport options to get around Dublin county, some great restaurants just down the street, and a lovely park with a Sunday Market. We enjoyed all the amenities in our room during our week-long stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Soundproofing wasn't the best due to the joining door connecting our room to the neighbors as we could often hear full conversations and even smell their food that was ordered late at night. Could use more hooks in the bathroom for hanging up clothes or towels.

After I requested to change room (one first allotted had an internal view of air con. System & no armchairs), allocated a room with a view over the park! Lovely, friendly staff and food was excellent.

More of a business hotel. 30 mins walk outside of centre (although buses are very regular) & nearby large choice of restaurants. Didn’t get much of the “Irish” feel - perhaps staying closer to the centre you might get that. Issue with mislaid mug was resolved by Manager. Although disappointing, ever happened to me & took the shine off my trip somehow.

Big spacious room - clean bright and airy Polite staff in bar and restaurant area Nice food Lovely location 30 minute walk to beach 30/40 min taxi ride from airport (used FREENOW app) 50 minute walk to temple bar area / 20 minute drive ish

I don’t like to be negative but just some points I’d like to mention … What I found most strange was no seating areas outside the hotel - even just a couple of benches to be able to get some fresh air would have been nice. There did appear to be an outside area accessed through the restaurant but was never used. The hotel doors (2 sets) very heavy and difficult to use if you have any kind of disability (I use a walker). The alternative is a carousel door but still not something I like to use with a walker. Over priced for room only - for the price we paid I think breakfast should have been included. I think the water system needs looking at as the bath water had an orange tint and I note other guests mentioned this too. I did take pictures.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location is perfect. The food is excellent, top quality and reasonably priced, but the breakfast is exceptional, the selection of fresh produce, breads, hot buffet, cereals and cold meats and cheese are all of the best quality and cooked to perfection. I have stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say it definitely ranks as the best breakfast yet.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel, it definitely is a top quality hotel, spotlessly clean, exceptional and friendly staff. Not much for children to do though, so I would say more a couples hotel or business use.

We got an upgrade to one of the suites. We had originally booked a standard room and were so shocked to see what we’d been upgraded to. We got a sharing platter & a bottle of Prosecco brought to the room as well. The balcony was amazing and the suite was very clean and spacious. We had a great stay and the bed was super comfy. It’s also in a relatively quiet area also and there’s a park nearby that had a farmers market on on a Sunday which was nice to have a walk round.

Nothing, was great. The only thing was there seemed to be a door joining us onto another room and we thought whoever stayed in that room had tried getting into ours.

Couldn’t fault anything with our stay and just wished we could have stayed longer! We arrived early and our room was available straight away! The check in was seamless and the staff were amazing! Added bonus was that we got parking straight outside the door! The room was fantastic, great size and had everything we needed. The room aspect was looking out towards the Aviva Stadium and though the room was close to the Pembroke/Merrion Road you couldn’t hear any traffic noise which is just what you want from a Hotel in a city and didnt hear any noise from the hallway either! Had a great night sleep with the bed being so comfortable! The bar food was great with a great menu selection .Highly recommend the beef burger and the salmon! Plenty of Staff in the bar and in the dining room so you weren’t left waiting to be served! Great options for breakfast too to suit suit someone who wants a full Irish or a continental! Location is just brilliant with the gorgeous Herbert Park right on your doorstep! The Hotel has easy access to public transport right into the city centre! After a recent stay in a 5* hotel it wasn’t a patch on the Herbert Park Hotel & Place Residence experience! This hotel’s customer service level is exceptional and every staff member we met were amazing! So thank you for a memorable stay! We will definitely will be back!

No complaints at all!

Excellent location for Aviva Stadium events. Large rooms, great sized beds in triple room, even single. Coffee machine with hot water. High quality coffee pods. Generous provision of more than adequately sized pouches of shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. Great timely room service. Kind friendly helpful staff. 12PM checkout great, most hotels are ten or eleven and charge residents.

Lack of car parking. Hotel car park full. Although six EV car charges available all being used and all slow electric chargers. No fast chargers to get me on road again ( I had two and half hour drive ahead of me). When finally got availability at twelve midnight, car park spaces are tight together unable to open door. I had to go back to car park at one o’clock to remove charger in case other hotel resident needed access to car. I have disability and need additional room at driver door to open with ease and prevent pain. On balance staff were fully engaged and receptive to my comments and are planning additional chargers in a different location. I was compensated with free car parking.

We were able to check in early. Staff were really nice and very helpful ( ordering taxis etc) and we were able to leave our luggage at reception after check out. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding and there was plenty of drinking water available in the room. The shower was roomy with good water pressure.

Only a minor detail but the Shoer head could have been cleaner. Buffet breakfast was great with lovely selection but the cooked breakfast let it down a bit. Sausages were salty and not great quality and the black and white pudding were a little bit over cooked.
