it was a new style of hotel for us with communal kitchen and living areas. the rooms were small but comfortable and had what we needed to rest. the location is excellent as we were able to walk to all our required venues and the beach and the pool was so relaxing. having children myself, and being away from them, I was grateful to have booked a child free hotel as the relaxing and quiet vibe of the whole experience wouldn’t be suited to children. I would come back and stay again in a heartbeat.

the only thing I could complain about is the walls aren’t well insulated for noise. we got home late and the showers were loud and I felt guilty for having one given how loud. water pressure is excellent.

The decor and beachy vibe was great! It was clean and had great amenities. We appreciated the free laundry facilities to be able to do a load of washing. The bed was comfy and the water pressure in the shower was the best! We had hoped to borrow the bikes available for guests but did not have time. They also. Have beach chairs and towels available to borrow. The staff were always accommodating and friendly too! Great place!!

Nothing to not like!

Lovely accommodation, well located and nice staff. I had to change rooms after the first night due to a plumbing problem in the ensuite, but this was handled in a professional way and I was also given a meal voucher to a local restaurant. The housekeeping in the rooms and common areas was of a very high standard. I was a little startled by the water dragons at first, but became quite fond of them by the end of the week.

Just one small thing. It was great be able to borrow a Lekker bike to get around town and see the sights. It would be good if a couple of helmets were available in XL.

The Atlantic is a very nice, aesthetic accommodation in a central yet very quiet location. The furnishings and the vibe there are very nice and harmonious. We can highly recommend a stay.

There was a bit of a lack of storage space and hanging options in the room. There was no socket in the bathroom, so you had to blow-dry your hair on the bed without a mirror. This should perhaps be improved at this price range

The Atlantic is a perfect oasis! The decor is beautiful and the gardens are calming, beautifully maintained and lush. Many thanks to all the amazing staff who keep the entire property spotlessly clean and also to the lovely reception team who are always welcoming and helpful. We really don’t want to leave.

Nothing.

The fit out of this property is beautiful. Property has everything you need, kitchen, laundry, bikes, parking, beach supplies etc. Unfortunately we needed to cut our stay short due to cyclone Alfred. The staff were so lovely to deal with and gave us a refund for the nights we didn’t stay. We hope to visit again soon when the weather is better. Thanks for having us.

Thin walls

We had a fantastic stay. Even though rooms are a part of a shared space it felt fairly private, also due to the way the garden on the property was put together. Great and helpful service with the option to rent (for free) bikes and surfboards. Close proximity to the beach and cool cafes / restaurants. Great base for Byron Bay rest and relaxation!

We woke up fairly early, but at times the commotion from the reception and people moving around caused more noise.

loved just about everything! the staff were incredible and made us feel immediately at ease. went out of their way to help us out at every turn. the location was great, the facilities are amazing and i wish we’d had more time to enjoy them, particularly the pool, kayaks and bikes!

i struggled with the mattress as it was not super supportive and my lower back is annoying picky

This was a fabulous place to stay for a short stay in Byron Bay. Delightful staff, excellent location, beautiful rooms / facilities, some lovely extras such as free bike and surfboard use. We would definitely go back.

It would have been nice for the lovely pool to be heated - it was a bit cold to go in. Perhaps some solar heating could be installed?

The Atlantic was great, would stay again. Super beautiful, amazing walkable location, and friendly staff. They were able to accommodate an early check in, hold my bags for a late day flight out, and overall super kind. The pool is great, and the shared kitchens are perfect to keep your snacks and drinks. You can borrow bikes and beach towels/chairs/umbrellas!

Would have loved to be able to buy any drinks/snacks from a little shop on site. Plan ahead and stop at a market nearby.
