We had such a warm and friendly welcome here. We booked 3 rooms. As we were going to a wedding, the staff allowed us to check in early so we could get changed. They even brought us some drinks while we were changing! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious (a cooked breakfast - look out for the order forms on the landing if you would like to order something different). The landlord offered to drive us where we needed to go - he took one of us to pick our car up from the wedding venue in Feckenham on the morning after. We can’t recommend enough for the friendly, helpful staff and the comfortable beds.
If you’re fussy, you could say our room and bathroom could do with a lick of paint. Didn’t bother us though, as we were so well looked after.

The pub is easy to find on the main road to Worcester . We've stayed before and the food is excellent as are the staff . The rooms are quirky as you'd expect with a building of this age , but comfortable and clean . All in all , a very enjoyable two nights .
The pub closes early on Sunday evening and when we arrived back at 9:30pm all was in darkness . Fortunately , the fire escape door was left unlocked , so we managed to get in ok otherwise could have been doomed to a night in the car !

It is as described. I felt welcomed and the staff were very helpful. They changed my room on check in as they felt I'd like other room better - it was a lovely room. It was clean and sufficient supplies. Plenty of parking. In the middle of the village.
The room was a little tired, but I can see they are in progress of gradually upgrading. People booking need to remember rooms are above a busy pub so there is noise at night. This wasn't a problem for me.

Food was excellent Landlord and land lady were excellent hosts and the locals who frequent this public house are not any cause for concern i.e. guests will not be made to feel uncomfortable Location was perfect for my reasons for being in the area
The shower over bath tub arrangement in the room was difficult to use, removal of the bath tub and a dedicated shower cubicle installation would be better

Very friendly, welcoming staff, excellent location in a lovely village Clean, comfortable rooms
Decor is a bit dated in Bedrooms, could do with a little TLC, but no real issue We stayed over a Bank Holiday weekend, but, there was no food available on the Sunday evening, which was a little dissapointing

A wonderful, authentic old Free House, with the best dinner had in weeks. Lovely and attentive owner and staff. Fantastic rural location right near a 13th c cathedral.
The only reason not a complete rave: the bed was very soft on one side, the fire alert light was very bright all night which kept us awake a bit. Breakfast was disappointing following the spectacular dinner the night before. Still highly recommended.

Trisha was an absolute sweetheart. Can't thank her enough for going above and beyond to make sure we got to Ragley hall safely when checking out.
The rooms are a little bit dated but it was very comfortable and lovely and clean. They don't do breakfast on Sunday which was a shame but no real issue.

A friendly main road village pub with very good food and helpful staff. Having stayed before, we knew the rooms to be fairly small but cosy with a pleasant outlook.
The rooms do need a coat of paint, but it's worth doing as they are full of character.

Our second stay. Nice room with extremely comfortable bed. Excellent, friendly and efficient staff. They cooked us dinner even though we were a bit late arriving. Good outside area for having a drink.
Noisy bathroom fan from bedroom next-door. However, this would not put me off returning.

Characterful property, really friendly staff, lovely big room and tasty breakfast (extra charge). I got back late after attending the Midlands Air Festival all day just down the road at Ragley Hall to find a singer on. Great tunes and atmosphere. Really enjoyed it!
