The setting was beautiful- lovely gardens, warm comfy well looked after for an old building, the room we stayed in was small but adequate- very clean bathroom and lovely high ceilings, the view for us wasn’t great ( a car park) but I guess someone has to have that room. - great food, breakfast all you can eat with endless coffee, tea, hot chocolate- overall I’d recommend it

The bed was very bad the first night, huge dip in the middle - it should have been thrown out a long long time ago, so we changed rooms and the issue was solved, but they should invest in at least king size beds, these were just doubles - 6” makes all the difference

The gardens were incredible we were there for an event so didn't get the chance to have a really good exploration but what we saw was stunning. Ponds with little fish. A huge arch covered in leaves . Incredible views. Breakfast served till 10 am on the weekend is a great shout a cheeky lay in and lots of variety. Felt really spoiled.

The cafe was not prepared for the gymnasts staying the BBnight before the competition we were met by really stressed out staff members. Two were on duty with lots of hungry families, selection was extremely limited and what there was in the selection was limited even more due to low stock. I understand these things happen but it would have been managed a bit better. Or maybe really encourage booking the restaurant as we weren't from the area we didn't know what other food options were available. Not really a complaint more of a suggestion the staff were not rude but really flustered due to the amount of pressure on getting orders out. They dealt with our complaints beautifully.

The room was a good size, perfect temperature and comfortable bed. The breakfast had a good choice especially the fruit section including seeds.

The lack of signage for saying where the hotel was. The place is vast. The reception, rooms and breakfast were all in different buildings but no signs to indicate this. A few small but annoying things were the washbasin was small with very stiff push down taps that only gave water when pressed and rather violently making it not very easy to use. The shower went hot and cold without changing the thermostat and the hairdryer was broken.

Absolutely fantastic - from booking to checking out! Rebecca was so helpful and patient with us whilst we tried to figure out room logistics. Very grateful we got to see her and thank her in person for her kindness. The rooms themselves were fab, just what you need! The bar staff were friendly and more than happy to help :) Breakfast was a buffet style hot and cold and delicious. The kitchen staff were so busy but held the fort fantastically which made it smooth sailing. We had a great time exploring the gardens and nature trails with the kids. Stunning grounds! All in all a great stay! Wish it could have been longer. Thank you all so much

The budget accommodation is similar to a travel lodge so perfectly good. The view out of the window onto a huge managed garden was wonderful. Food in the morning was fantastic. I really can’t say enough. The cost I paid was £60 inc b/f. Depending on timings this can be booked for slightly less though sometimes a lot more depending on demand.Whatever the cost I think most people will be happy with the room and food. Clearly I’m just talking about a budget room there is opportunity to book more expensive rooms in the hall itself which is a beautiful building. Overall a great stay, I will book again.

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space. Bar/reception area are nice and relaxing. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast, equal to many top hotels we've stayed at before. Restaurant is beautiful with views out to the garden. Beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces. Absolute bargain price for what you get.

As it is a remote location, you need to book the restaurant in advance or, like us, only have pizza from the snack bar to choose from. Or be prepared to go out and travel to find somewhere to eat. Not much room in the bathroom but it's manageable.

Fabulous Grounds and a really tranquil place to be - unless you are one of the poor athletes who are there for a purpose. The location suited my requirements to be at Weston Park the next day. I had a great room in the old Manor House with luxury facilities that impressed. Much cheaper accommodation is available here if you choose; some of the guests are student athletes and families. I wish I had arrived earlier in the day and made more of the amazing place. Very friendly staff, great room , delicious breakfast

Staff very helpfull and friendly, room as spotless and comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast menu was fantastic and not rushed. We had an evening meal in the dining area which was really good although we were on the last minite staff again very helpfull and chef went out of his way to provide a non memu item in order to cater for a food intolerance. Really cannot fault the whole experiance and eill be booking again.

Not quite as close to the International centre as I expected and not main roads for most of the way but that certainly won't put me off as the peace and quiet makes up for this as well as the excellent service.

Lovely little place in a great setting. The gardens are beautiful. Easy to park. Good central location to several retail parks and close to the university which was our main need for the visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm, the shower worked fab and was hot which is great. We were kept topped up with fresh clean towels daily. We'll stay here again.

Our door keys kept playing up meaning we had to keep going up and down the stairs to inform the desk and get them reset. This was done promptly on all occasions and turned out to be a battery issue which was quickly sorted so shouldn't be a problem for a while. The cooked breakfast was cold by the time we got there at 9am unfortunately but there were plenty of pastries, toast, fruit, yogurts and cereal so we were good.

Grounds were amazing and room was huge.

Less than hot breakfast and one EV charger had normal car. Other charger was in a position that only one car could charge. No toiletries in the shower just a glass pump dispenser on the sink. Booked a few days after friends, as we were in a tournament. Price rocketed to double the standard rate. Restuarant seating is centred around large groups of athletes and filled up very quickly. One dining hall was closed to normal residents. Reception was not staffed for checkout and you have to phone a mobile number to contact them. There is a phone on the desk but surely a staff member should be around as you have to check out by 10:30am
