The location was amazing, but the service was even better! They created you every time, helped you get transportation, gave great dining and attractions advice. Victor at the Concierge really knows his stuff with fine dining! Definitely get his reccomendations. My wife and I enjoyed the fine wine and beer of Spain, and the bartending staff was incredibly knowledgeable with different wines and were incredibly friendly and quick with service. They really did treat us like family. We will be staying here again!

The only negative was the size of the bathrooms and the gym equipment. The bathrooms can be tight with 2 people using simultaneously. Also, the shower is more accommodated to Spanish population. I'm a 6'3" 215lb American, shower was a tight squeeze. Also, the gym is small but has enough space. But of that space 80% of the equipment is cardio. Once again, catered to the Spanish way of working out, with a lot of cardio, but not much strength building.

Classic hotel located in one of the best areas in Madrid. Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff very professional and friendly. Comfortable bed and top of the line linens.

Rooms and furniture could use an update. One incident to report was that when our car service came to pick us up he encountered a problem with his vehicle not starting (did not recognize the electronic key) and this was caused by the hotel having blocked all electronic communication which prevented his car to start and we had to make other arrangements. We subsequently found out that this blockage was due to a foreign dignitary staying at the hotel and the hotel for security reasons blocked all tele communication services without letting anyone know. Unacceptable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Madrid, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The employees were extremely attentive and always ready to assist. My room was spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The personalized message displayed on the TV added a toughtful touch. In terms of location, the hotel is conveniently located next to certain attractions, metro station, and business district. I recommend this hotel for excellent service and luxury rooms.

The staff at the Intercontinental are exceptional. Concierge sorted diner reservations before we arrived and then recommended other restaurants while we were in Madrid. The door man was also so welcoming and helpful as were the bar and restaurant staff. The rooms are beautifully cleaned and we didn’t have a single issue during our stay. The hotel will soon be ready for a refurb as it’s looking a little tired in places but it didn’t detract from our stay. I highly recommend a stay here when in Madrid.

Decor is a little tired in places.

We love IHG hotels. The room was spacious and I loved all the mirrors 🙂. Handy when someone was in the bathroom. The pillows were so soft too. The concierge told us about a specialty paella restaurant nearby and was very helpful. The breakfast was amazing - so many choices!

A bit far away from the main centre of Madrid & attractions so we got a taxi back as our legs had worn out. 😄

The staff from bellboy to concierge to reception team including cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and kind throughout our stay. Also, we were especially delighted by the room upgrade and access to club lounge.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Costs for room vs location was high and also the breakfast was pretty expensive and it wasn’t anything special.

The staff at reception, main doors, bell hops and the lounge were excellent! The Sunday brunch was a lucky break since we got there on Sunday-excellent spread and service.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, and the staff are extremely courteous, efficient and yet endearingly discreet. The restaurant serves dishes of the highest quality. I'm very impressed. This is my third stay (after Lisbon and Porto) in a hotel belonging to the Intercontinental chain. This stay was just as wonderful. Thank you and I heartily recommend

Unwilling to extend our stay in room for 1 more hour since we have late flight, & we arrived well after midnight the first night(there must be others also arriving late not necessarily everyone has to check in by 3pm
