I really liked the location and enjoyed the walk around the lake. The room was very clean, and having an undercover car park was a great advantage.

I booked a superior room, and the photos on Booking.com clearly showed a nice lake view. However, the room I was given had no view. When I raised the issue, they agreed to move me to a room with a lake view the following day. The receptionist acknowledged how the photos can be misleading. Additionally, the mattress was uncomfortable, and the view from the new room wasn’t as great as expected. The balcony wall blocked most of the view, so you could only see the lake while standing, which was disappointing considering how beautiful the view is

I work across the word in the shopping centre and me and my colleagues were going out for a Xmas party during the week. I decided to book a room so I didn't need to travel home and could make the morning that little easier after the night. The room was quite spacious, very clean, the bed was super comfy, the bathroom was great the shower is massive with good enough pressure. The restaurant was nice, went there for breakfast. Was reasonably priced and delicious! The guy who took my order was friendly and accommodating! I was able to check in early during my lunch break which made it easy.

I didn't like that I didn't see that a $250 bond was required and didn't state that during the booking process. I paid and booked with my card and it would have been better if that was used if there were issues. I now have to wait 5-10 business days to get it back before Xmas which is super inconvenient. My room was #323 ,close to the lifts, however you really can hear people coming and going, the doors are rather loud too.

The rooms were so spacious and felt that bit more luxurious. Comfy beds, reasonable price, smart tv, nice balcony and wifi is easy to connect to and stayed connected, unlike a lot of other places.

The mood/warm lighting in the bathroom was pretty and very aesthetic. But the option to increase the brightness or a seperate mirror light, would have been helpful for lighting to do your makeup under. Please allow plugs in the PowerPoints to cater for both older and newer model iPhone charger cords.

My room stunk like cigarette smoke. I wish I had asked for a different room straight away. Waking up in the middle of the night smelling cigarettes was gross. The aircon in the room didn't work and the temp was 30+ so it was uncomfortable not being able to have a breeze or cooling the first night. After complaining for the 3rd time about the aircon not working I was moved.

Room 231 - clean, modern, spacious, able to draw blinds to create complete darkness during the day, individual air con/ heater, great onsite facilities, great food, very accommodating of requests. The ONLY place we stay when in town!

We decided to stay a second night but were unable to keep our room (understandable). The room we were given was on Level 3 and really not a comfortable room. We called the service desk and requested a room upgrade back down to Level 2 and the staff were VERY accommodating to this request. I am writing this review from our upgraded room (extra $30). My only complaint is sending us to a subpar room after being in such a wonderful room. I do not recommend the Room 314. Great view of lake but shower water pressure isn’t great, fridge wasn’t switched on when we arrived so all drinks were warm, bed is a different quality and not preferable, damage to the room walls and curtains didn’t block entire window. Once renovated I’ll certainly be a customer of level 3, just not yet.

Sometimes the lobby bar can take it's time with your meals. Which was surprising because it was never really busy. A couple times it took nearly 30 minutes for basic meals to come out. My theory was perhaps when things are slower the staff become a little too chilled out. I don't mind staff talking amongst themselves however do that once the meals have been taken out.

The room was very clean and very spacious, the bed was comfortable although we do prefer a firmer mattress which no hotel/motel has. Was surprised to see there was a mini bar but the prices were very much overpriced. We had a lovely view although didn't get to enjoy it as it was just a one night stop over after a day/night wedding. I personally would've like of liked a streaming channel eg. Netflix. The bathroom was in mint condition and the walk-in shower very large. I really like that you could only reach the accommodation levels via keypass as there is a bar, restaurant and pokies on the ground level. Loved the free undercover parking!

The only thing I do have a complaint about was my hubby was unable to sleep as the heater was noisy when turning itself it on and it kept him awake... didn't bother me. He looked everywhere for a remote and was unable to find one, however in the morning as we were leaving he noticed the heating/cooling panel next to the door. The bathroom had two large narrowish frosted glass panels that were on the wall where the bed was... it looked really nice but hubby was concerned at using the light to have a shower while he couldn't sleep as I was sleeping on that side of the bed and facing that wall.

We paid extra for the renovated room on level 2, and it was massive. Huge and spacious.

I would have liked for the hotel to offer a room type with 2 double beds. I stayed with my husband, along with our 10yr old daughter, who had to stay on the fold out bed, which we had to pay an extra $40 per night for. I like to stay at hotels where children should be able to stay for free using existing bedding. This Mercure does not offer a room with two double beds.

In a lovely new-ish suburb outside of Melbourne with good train links to the city. Situated on a large lake offering excellent views and walking option. Close to large shopping centre but far enough away to be very peaceful. Room was large and adequately appointed. Great undercover carpark with easy entry/exit. Very good onsite bistro.

The Caroline Springs Mercure was a palace. The rooms were huge and extremely clean, and the beds were so comfortable. I liked that we could also eat downstairs in their restaurant and the food was first class. Every member of staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, and servers were extremely amicable. They engaged in conversation with you and made you smile. Everybody was so happy. We will be back to visit soon.

There was nothing to fault, everything was amazing.
