The hotel is super close and very walkable even with a big suitcase. Check in was a breeze and the desk clerk carried my suitcase up the stairs. The room was spotless and the sheets were crisp. There were enough clean towels and an extra blanket. It was perfect for what i needed which was a bed for the night. The free breakfast was better than expected and check out was simple.

Walking there though close is quite confusing you have to go around and under the overpass. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your big bag up because there won't always be a desk clerk that can help.

The proximity to the airport was perfect. Less than 10 mins to walk from the terminals. It is a budget hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. For late arrivals, or early departures it was a bed, shower and somewhere to stay until the next leg of your journey.

Instructions to walk to the hotel were not as good as say other hotels at Melbourne Airport. If you are not familiar with the airport it does appear a little daunting making your way to the Hotel, especially late at night.

I loved that we could take the airport trolley and just walk our luggage to the hotel and in the morning we could just walk it back (our bag had a wonky wheel so this was very handy) .I was unsure about the twin beds to begin with but ended up having the best sleep (even though it was incredibly short due to the length of our stop over). The shower was a good temp and good water pressure

The room felt very pokey. It was a push to get myself around the end of the bed let alone luggage as well.

The ladies assisting during checkin & checkout were both wonderful. Both were Helpful and friendly. Sending thanks & praise their way. The bed was great, thank you for a wonderful sleep before I carried on with my journey.

Wouldve liked a slider or curtain or some sort of partitioning for the shower pod to minimise splash out to the toilet space but its not a big issue. Maybe a 2nd floor towel\mat would be handy ... One for inside the pod, one for when stepping into the room. Wouldve liked a power outlet beside the bed for my own convenience, but not a big deal at all, there were plenty of other power outlets to work with. Remote control for the tv should be added into a regular maintenance \ cleaning cycle, the one in my room was pretty grimey. Wouldve loved to have one of those luggage benches, so I wasnt opening up on the floor, but I do also understand its very limited space in the room so possibly not entirely practical.

Room was fine. It's Ibis Budget, you get what you pay for.

Left a hat and sunglasses in the room, by the time we realised, we were in Sydney. Rang the property and was told pick it up yourself or organise to be picked up. Wouldn't even send COD. Wouldn't have been a drama except it was a gift from my grandsons for Xmas. Very very poor after care, happy to take the $$$ when a flight is cancelled, but couldn't care less about you once you check out. 0/10 for follow up service.

Very close to the airport. For a guest and a small child the room was perfect. They had a cot already set up on arrival, and had the ground floor to save on walking up the stairs. For a late arrival, with a small child, it was a good place to stay before the next leg of the trip.

The walking distance was not a problem, however it could have had better signage to get to the hotel, especially after walking behind McDonalds late at night/early morning.

Super close to the airport. Please provide a detailed walking map so you can easily walk from the airport. Even it is such a short walk it took me awhile to walk there as there was a highway in the way and I had no idea of how to actually get there as easily as it should have been.

Very basic and small room. This is reflected in the cheap price. A great stay however for the basic traveler. Maybe you could have a stand for airport trolleys out the front as I really needed one when I went back to the airport at 5:30am

Super close to the airport which I needed. Lovely compact room. Very tasty breakfast. Extremely helpful, pleasant staff - especialy when I returned two days later pleading for a bed, since my flight had been cancelled. Thank you to the lovely young man, who despite there being no beds, processed some cancellations so I could have one! I was so grateful. It made a stressful situation much less stressful. He was very patient when my Travelex card was declined, and waited until I transferred some $NZ from one account to another to pay for the room. Very professional service :) I like the fact the desk was manned until 2am. Peace of mind.

Ibis was the best airport hotel price. Typical Ibis Budget room. Exactly what I needed for my 1 night stay.

I booked a taxi as I'm not so good on my feet. Assured by reception that the taxis were reliable. I was at reception 10 minutes before booked time. Taxi confirmation txt, taxi arriving txt, taxi arriving in 2minutes txt. Passenger not found txt. 🤷Very disappointed. Allow yourself plenty of time to get to your terminal . Your taxi may not honour the booking.☹️

Friendly helpful staff. A pleasure to deal with. I had extra luggage and the receptionist helped me up the stairs with my bags. Excellent service with a smile and readily answered any questions asked.

I forgot there is no elevator, I am so glad I only had to cart my luggage up one floor. As a smoker I appreciated the fact that there was a smoking area, however it would have been great if there had been a chair to sit on
