1. The walls and doors are too thin. I heard everyone walk by the room and couldn't sleep well on several nights. 2. They didn't restock the toiletries and sometimes forgot to restock towels. 3. It was expensive for me, since I was paying for two room for a total of 4 adults. I wish there were better deals, we would've stayed longer.

Hotel definitely didn't meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Room plan was terrible - 28 sqmr planned so inconveniently making every space small and dense, all spaces are separated by walls, even the toilet, sink and shower separated into different small closed spaces. Def. didn't like it. Small details were disregarded, like some of the towels were not replaced every day, soap and shampoo in dispensers rather than little chic bottles, lack of body lotion, shower caps and other stuff expected from a 5 star hotel, not enough shampoo in the dispensers, electricity adapters missing, etc. The hotel is pretty and well kept, but the value for money is quite mediocre.

The location was great, close to Covent Garden, Soho and all important tube lines. Tons of restaurants nearby as well. The rooms were quite big, especially for a hotel in the center of London and the bed was one of the most comfortable ones we ever slept in. That being said, the hotel didn’t feel like 5 stars. There is this little extra missing that you usually get in 5 star hotels. The staff was mostly friendly but not more. No one went the extra mile. Didn’t feel like a home away from home.

The bathroom didn’t have a door, and the door of the toilet cabin kept opening all the time and didn’t stay closed. Some parts of the hotel look old and need an update, like the elevator. Sometimes it smelled badly in the corridors. Breakfast was boring, not many choices at the buffet, took often quite a long time to refill and there wasn’t much on the a la carte menu either. Also waiters commenting on your choices (as in: rolling eyes and saying “Interesting”) didn’t seem professional.

Excellent location! Very clean! All employees were very helpful and gentle! The manager was exceptional in her attitude and she demonstrated great customer service even if we did not change room, as we have requested! It was our decision even if the Manager found a solution!

The room was booked via booking and it was non refundable. There was no mentioning about the peculiarity of the room i.e entering the room, on the left there was the bathroom/toilet but there was no door to separate the toilet from the corridor. It was an open space and at the end of the corridor was the room and there was the door. Even if the Manager gave us a solution, we said that they need to mention that in the booking or to put a door(which is not so difficult) and it is not an architectural or internal design decision to have a toilet without a door!

My only quip with this stay was the breakfast I felt there could have been more fresh fruit and choice on the buffet. Apple and melon was the choices not very exciting and there . were only two pastries to choose from You pay £25 if you book 24 hrs ahead and you get continental plus one thing from hot menu . Good choice on the hot menu but i wasnt that hungry so asked for a fresh juice from the list. Was told that was extra . I agreed and then a bottle of pre squuezed shop bought juice was put on table no glass no ice £7 plus a 94p service charge which was absolutely ridiculous so my £25 breakfaat became almost £33 for 1 cappucino I shop bought juice Two slices toast with cheese Greek yoghurt and melon So disappointed but overall everything was great

The location is fabulous, with easy access to all public transport, galleries and museums, eateries and of course the theatre district. I stayed for 8 nights and found most staff, particularly front desk, housekeeping, laundry and restaurant staff, professional, welcoming and eager to assist in whatever way possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully presented and serviced, having everything I needed and more.

I only had a concern with one of the concierge's who didn't seem to be that interested in assisting me with my one query. However, it was so out of character with everyone else at St Martin's that it didn't dampen my overall experience. I just didn't ask that person for any further assistance.

Our Jr. Suite was an incredibly spacious room with plenty of space for our King bed and a rollaway bed for our granddaughter. Floor to Ceiling windows gave us incredible views. The location simply could not be beat. There are three underground stations within a five minute walk. The hotel is just a three minute walk to Covent Gardens, Trafalgar Square and Leister Square. Restaurants galore everywhere. Wonderful staff. This hotel is a gem.

Change up some of the dishes at the breakfast buffet.

Lovely hotel but needs some sprucing up as paint peeling in some areas and lights in bedroom not working. Staff are nice but seem to spend more time socialising with each other so guests come second to their chatting. Breakfast confusing as all the add on prices seem unnecessary and also off-putting for guests who have already paid for breakfast in their room rate. To be charged for a second cup of coffee is not what is expected in a 5 star hotel.

Room not ready at our arrival time (3:15pm) but checked in & given a complimentary drink in the bar until room was ready. Only had to wait a further 25 mins. Very comfy bed. Top quality bathroom. Good breakfast too. Good central location … if you can find it! See below.

A simple sign outside the hotel stating ‘Hotel’ would have helped. It isn’t obvious that ‘St Martins Lane’ restaurant is also by the entrance to the hotel. Style of hotel very modern & minimal, hardly any signs (e.g. ‘lifts’, ‘wc’, dining room etc anywhere). Not a ‘homely’ or luxury feel & somewhat cold/sterile feel.

The staff are amazing and upgraded us so that the price actually reflected the room expectation. They put on a lovely birthday surprise, all you had to do was ask. The breakfast and service was lovely. Stunning lighting in all rooms sets a beautiful ambience to suit all moods.

The first room was very small for the price and the views from the windows are not pleasant although the upgraded room and service makes up for this.
