I booked the Exclusive Double room with river view for three nights in November. The Hotel Harmony is as close to the center of Ghent as you can get, with many nice restaurants, river views and the majestic ambience of the Gravensteen castle located almost next door. The room was quite large, with a beautiful separate bathroom stocked with good linens and products. There was a large armoire for storing your clothes. The wifi was quite fast and reliable. The room is digitally equipped - which is to say you can control all the lights with one master switch - or through the thermostat console. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent and had many vegan/vegetarian options, which I appreciated. I walked from the train station to the Harmony Hotel, about thirty five minutes, which enhanced my perspective of the city, but there are numerous different tram lines nearby. I would stay at the Hotel Harmony again.

The river facing windows were not completely sound proofed so you do hear outside noise. The hotel rooms and hallways are not carpeted, so you also hear some noise from the hotel but neither of these things would keep me from staying here again.

Really excellent staff, friendly & helpful. A small family run establishment who were so helpful. We arrived early, but they found a parking space for us and whilst we went to explore they stored our luggage and it had been delivered to the room when we returned. Well appointed bedroom with comfortable beds. The Hotel has a car parking which is an absolute necessity as the Hotel is situated in a pedestrian area. A very short walk along the canal to the Castle and City centre, loads of local cafe's restaurants within a short walk. The Hotel has a comfortable guest lounge that provides light snacks & coffee. One of the best breakfasts we have had in the breakfast room overlooking the canal. We would definitely go again if we were to return to Ghent.

Nothing, you can't improve on excellent.

Staff were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to help. Hotel well situated to see the best that Ghent has to offer. Good continental breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom both decently sized.

Only the usual things that no continental hotel manages to get right - eg the cold scrambled eggs and bacon, and the idea that you can put a tea bag into hot water, rather than the hot water onto the teabag. And the duvet of course, invented by the devil to roast all hotel guests worldwide.

Hotel Harmony blew us away - the location was superb and our room was huge! Stepping out the front door onto the canal and minutes from all attractions in Ghent. Our huge family room was located at the back of the complex - we could access via the back gate into the lane which was also handy. We used the pool everyday as the weather was fantastic. Sitting out the front having a drink near the canal was perfect. Staff were amazing - so helpful and super friendly. If I could rate this place more then a 10 I would - we loved our stay here.

Absolutely nothing!

Hotel Harmony delivered on all fronts: Excellent location right on a canal. Our spacious room #131 on the 3rd floor had a large balcony with a commanding view over all the steeples and monuments of Ghent. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. This property had a lift and even a pool, which we didn't use. (We also booked a larger suite room #313, but it had no view. Room 121 directly below 131 is nice with large windows and a view, but no balcony, and the bathroom configuration was odd. Request room #131). I recommend this hotel to friends and strangers alike.

Fantastic location right in the historic centre of Ghent, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room. Great breakfast. Lovely hotel, very much hope to return one day.

Square pillows slightly odd, and coffee machine in plug socket attached to the lighting circuit rather weird. Small things though in a wonderful stay. Car park expensive but we actually parked on the other side of the city and that was only a 10-15 minute walk. There are other more local places to park which we didn't bother to find because having parked in the first place we came across there was really no issue.

The hotel is in a great location, right on a canal, a couple of minutes walk from Korenmarkt, but also very close by the cobbled streets of Prinsenhof/Patershol. Also just 1 mins walk to Gravensteen tram stop. My room had a balcony overlooking the canal, and a lovely bathroom with a freestanding bath. Lighting/ temperature control was all state of the art. The breakfast was fab - a sizeable buffet of hot and cold dishes (salmon, cheeses, waffles, eggs, bacon, pastries, yoghurt, fruit salad etc) and cava was included. Best thing of all though was the staff, who were all super-helpful and friendly. I was especially grateful for the fact that I was able to change my booking last-minute due to the Eurostar delays over the festive period, even though I had gone past the official booking amendment window, and at no extra cost - thank you so much for allowing that. Hard to think this place could be bettered tbh.

One small thing - some of the rooms have twin beds which are pushed together if you request a double, so just be aware of this. Would not stop me staying again though.

Excellent location, historic sights near and plenty of restaurants. Canal view with balcony provided great experience. Wonderful bathtub. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable.

The room was modern but somewhat weird arrangement, sitting area in the dark corner. The designer should have spent a night in the room to see what is needed. Lighting control was impractical. No storage space in the bathroom for your things.

Loved the location, everything is at perfect walking distance! Staff was very friendly! Always an 'have a good day' or ' good evening' when we arrived or left. Breakfast was all one need with even an waffle or American pancake option.

For a hotel that charges 200+ a night at our stay and having a 4star sign allot of things in the room could be better! The room needed an overall maintenance, with paint coming loose, tiles broken, jacuzzi that needs a good and deep clean,no working mini bar, glas panel missing at the closet etc... The electronic panel which controls the bathroom lights, temperature etc..didn't switch off its lights. Which was very annoy during the night! The mattress had it's best time too. If you have a drink at the bar make sure that you keep track of it. As we almost got charged double for ours as staff during our bar stay kept changing constantly.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful thank you. The room was beautiful, clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location was perfect. Pool wasn't open yet so can't comment on that but did look lovely.

Not the hotels fault, but they were relaying a road/pavement outside our room at 6am in the morning so that got us up super early. We also couldn't get the A/C to work but again probably our fault.
