I recently stayed at the Acta Splendid hotel in Barcelona and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The location of the hotel is fantastic, offering easy access to various attractions around the city. What stood out most was the tranquility of the place; despite its central location, the hotel was very quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, providing a comfortable and hygienic environment. But the highlight of my stay was the remarkable staff. The reception staff was not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate my needs. The restaurant staff, especially, deserves a special mention. The ladies there were extraordinarily dedicated and focused on providing the best service possible. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence was evident. During breakfast, the variety of food available was impressive. No matter if I arrived early in the morning or for a late breakfast, there was always a wide selection to choose from. This level of motivated and attentive staff is what elevates a hotel experience from good to great. I sincerely wish more hotels would have staff as dedicated as those at Acta Splendid, as it truly makes for a high-level hotel experience. Highly recommended!

The return stop was about a 7 min walk. • Excellent breakfast with many options (little bit pricey though) • Easy access to main attractions and city • Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room • Safe in the room • Friendly staff, thank you Issac • Bed was comfortable • Decent bathroom and the water Pressure/hot water all good One of the best things about this hotel is the breakfast. It is not the cheapest you get in a similar hotel, but I highly recommend it due to the sheer variety of options and the service. They have a lounge/waiting area with comfortable seating on the first floor, with soft music and some books.. Free lockers are provided to store your luggage, and the bottom cabinets are big enough to accommodate a fairly large suitcase. There is also a shower room with towels to use in this area. All very useful if you want to spend some time in the hotel following the checkout and/or leave your luggage there and enjoy the city a bit more. Fair price for a 3 * hotel.

Unfortunately, the noise from the busy street outside can be heard until around mid-night. For me personally it wasn't a big issue, but please bear this in mind if you are an early to bed person who needs absolute quietness.

The location is right next to metro and bus stops, and 5-10minutes walk to Plaça de Catalunya from where you can take the shuttle bus to the airport and shop at Corte Ingles. The hotel is clean, bed is comfy, they offer dush gel/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion in the bathroom. Useful tip: don't use the small supermarkets around unless it's for a quick drink, since they are severely overpriced :) Better go to the regular supermarket of Corte Ingles.

I did not see a refrigerator in the room, and I couldn't open the windows to get a few nasty flies out of the room, but otherwise it's a 10 out of 10.

Close to metro and Bus lines. You can get to metro "Universidad" in 4 minutes. Bus stop is 80m away from the main entrance. Safe neighbourhood with restaurants and shops at short distance. Helpful, attentive and respectful staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. We were given a nice quiet room. Breakfast was good. It included fresh fruits, vegetables, good coffee, eggs, freshly baked products, cereals and many other things. The decoration is very well thought giving a unique atmosphere that allows you to relax after a busy day visiting Barcelona.

Great location, lovely and spacious room, large bed. Very nice toiletries and good towels in the bathroom. Large TV.

The heating system didn't work correctly during our stay, we asked for an additional blanket and that solved the issue for us.

Fantastic experience! The hotel is wonderfully designed, with a modern and welcoming atmosphere. The location is perfect – just a 2-minute walk to the metro, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The mattresses were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like providing lockers for suitcases after checkout, making the end of my stay hassle-free. Overall, Acta Splendid truly thought of everything, and I highly recommend it!

Our stay at this hotel was delightful. I traveled with my mom and sister, and though we booked a room with three beds, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a larger room (can fit 4), which made us very happy. The hotel was impeccably clean, both in the common areas and our room. The location is excellent, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby, as well as convenient access to bus stops and the metro. It’s also just a short walk to Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful—we asked for several recommendations and received excellent advice from them.

We could hear some noise and conversations from the neighboring room, but since we were so tired from exploring, it didn’t really affect us.

The location was perfect.Breakfast was excellent. Complimentary coffee and pastries were offered after 1 pm. Just a few steps from Metro station.

Air-conditioner right above the bed and blowing directly into face.Then air conditioner on and you in a bed,it's feels cold and uncomfortable, but if you turn it off, the room immediately getting stuffy and no air circulation at all.Our room vas very small as well as bathroom. The bidet was just a waste of valuable space and completely useless. We weren't able to open windows because of no windows screens on a window's and smells from the food places around the hotel where to heavy. Also, on a second night of stay, I developed dust allergy due to lots of dust being on the opposite from air conditioner wall. It was right above our heads, and we weren't able to get a good sleep.Room didn't have a portable fridge as well as no ice was offered.

The hotel is ideally located near the gothic quarter. It was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and the triple room was a good size for us. It was great to have a luggage room with lockers to leave cases in before the room was available and after we checked out as we had a evening flight, and there is a room to shower and change in before leaving. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast buffet was extensive, beautifully presented and delicious. There is a lovely lounge/sitting area to relax in. It’s a lovely place to stay, we’d definitely stay again.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like

The hotel's location is excellent, situated in close proximity to Plaza Universitat. It is a mere ten-minute walk to Casa Batlló. Numerous shops, cafes, and bars are conveniently nearby. The airport bus stop is just a three-minute walk from the hotel. The establishment is impeccably clean and features appealing decor. Additionally, the availability of luggage lockers, restroom facilities, and shower access after check-out is a significant advantage.

The staff appeared to be slightly unwelcoming and unresponsive to messages, making it difficult to get assistance during the red rain alert when transportation to the airport was needed.
