I would like to say everything was excellent as the breakfast staff were brilliant, but it is not fair to the rest of the staff when one person is rude and a bully. The front desk solidly built man with a bald head, don't know his name ruined the mark. When I booked in I cleared with the staff for it to be Ok for me to decide the form of payment on vacation. This was fine. When I went to pay I said to that man I would like to pay, he did not ask how would I like to pay, an important question as travellers often have different credit cards and cash. I did.. he took ages doing something, no words, I did not know he was transacting with the credit card held by the hotel for my bar. Then I interrupted are you ready for me to pay Sir, he replied I have just done it as the receipt popped out. I explained my agreement,, he loudly and very intimidatingly said he cold reverse the transaction, I explained that was not what I wanted as it would be noted on the Visacard and debited yes but I did not want any notice of it on the Australian credit card. While I tried to explain he raised his voice making offers of a bottle of wine or coffee or cake or what could he do... it was very embarrassing and it made me the customer look like I was a real pest. I did not like his intimidating attitude and would not allow anyone in my employ to speak with anyone like he did. Asking how would you like to pay Madam in the first place is all he needed to do. Please congratulate all the breakfast staff on my behalf. Margaret Robertson.

My story is contained in the above. Essentially the reception need to ask how would you like to pay on departure day...not make assumptions due to the hotel holding a credit card for the bar items.

The location is excellent -within walking distance from most of the sights. The staff was very welcoming and uppgraded is to a twin room vasen on out reguest beforehand. The room was big and had all the essential including air-conditioning. Breakfast had a nice selection and there was plenty of room. The hotel and rooms are clean even though a bit outdated and the beds were comfortable.

The air-conditioning was loud and you could smell the moisture in the room. The floor was old and noisy and the the shower-bathtub combination is not meant for very tall people. More detailed information on the usage of sauna needed. There was a mix-up with the cleaning of the room and our room was not cleaned properly until the second day and even then they forgot to swich the used mugs for clean ones. All in all a pleasant stay but with all the little details, we though that the hotel is overpriced.

Hotel is located in the centre of Ljubljana, just a 3 to 5 minutes walk to the river Ljubljanica, which is the centre of the historic city with all its restaurants, bars and shops. Staff is kind, helpful and friendly, including the team driving the cars back and forth the hotel garage, which is not located in the same building. During our stay the hotel was busy with lots of tourists, which could be felt especially during breakfast. The buffet offers good quality and tasty food. Regular orange juice is poor quality, however fresh pressed orange juice is available upon request for € 4.50 per glass. Coffee quality and taste is good. All in all hotel offers nice atmosphere at appropriate cost considering the location in the city centre.

We booked a regular room, which was extremely narrow. Beds are small as well and too soft.

Amazing location, really central for all of the highlights of ljubljana. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a highlight for my family. It was very comprehensive, hard to think of something not available. Even bubbly for those who want to start the day that way.

Downside to the central location was access if you are driving. Took us a while and an interaction with the police to find the hotel which is on a restricted access road. The doorstaff were great once we were there and its a valet service. Don't trust your satnav! Economy room was very snug. I'd pay more for the larger rooms.

The location! Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around. Old Town and most of the tourist attractions are just 5 mins away on foot. The Ljubljana train station and main bus stop for airport shuttle and inter-city connections are at about 10-12 mins walking distance. Cleanliness is maintained at high standards. Room cleaning was done everyday. Wellness massages are very good and highly recommended. The buffet breakfast is of very good quality, has lots of varieties and offers both warm and cold food including regional specialty.

Staff extremely polite, helpful and understanding. Doing the best what they can far your stay to be as comfy as possible. Rooms are comfortable and clean, althoug some housekeeping could not hurt as everything is deteriorating.

We've stayed at this hotel before and breakfast is far from breakfast that has been offered few years ago. No more fresh juice, salmon, no more belgian waffles. Whole menu shrunk and some dishes that used to be free are charged now. They used to sprinkle pillows with lavender scent but this is not the case anymore. Saunas are without fruits that used to be there. All in all, you don't get the same service they provided few years ago.

The front desk and house keeping staff were very accommodating and helpful. They're very attentive and were always pleasant to talk to. They always smiled and greeted and made our stay more memorable. The beds are soo comfortable and I slept like a baby! It gets a 5 star from me just for the beds and their selection of pillows alone!

The rooms are quite outdated and could do with some touch of colour and more modern features.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast offered plenty of choices.

The room was so hot! Reception explained that the hotel is heated until the middle of May and that there is no ability to change that according to your individual preference. So we ended up turning off the aircon, taking the duvet out so we just had a sheet and opening the window. It's a bit weird for people from subtropical Australia to be too hot when it's 10 degrees outside!

The hotel has an excellent location, probably one of the best locations to stay in Ljubljana. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options and the bed was comfortable. Bathrobe and slippers at the disposal of the guests, even an umbrella if necessary.

Some of the staff were not very friendly, the man that did my check-in didn't tell me anything about the facilities and services that were and were not included during the stay, basically it was: passport, credit card, your room is xx. A robot might have been more helpful. At the bar I also had to wait a lot for everything.. For someone to take my order, to pay..

Very central property with a tasty breakfast. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed using the sauna and steam room.

Some of the staff in the restaurant took away drinks that we hadn’t finished and weren’t that friendly. Other staff such as on reception were very helpful. The hotel is pretty big and it’s likely it’s a reflection of the business rather than staff being rude. There were a few minor areas where the cleaning could be improved in the rooms; a few areas such as the chair in the bathroom and the window sill could have been cleaner. The rest of the room was very clean and these are minor faults. The room overall was really clean.
