The staff were excellent, super helpful, warm and caring - loved them actually. The place is serene and stunning, super comfortable - a literal home away from home. Breakfast was lovely and my children felt so pampered. We will always go back!

The parking facility during the times they hold events, becomes a bit inconvenient for staying guests - bays should be allocated for the duration of a person's stay. The property (windows, sliding doors, burglar guards/balcony gates) and upholstery of chairs - needs a bit of tlc.

I loved the beautiful architecture and grounds, the large rooms and tall ceilings, the comfy bed and gorgeous marble bathroom. Breakfast was good with lots of options from toasts, muffins, eggs made to order, sauteed mushrooms, drinks made to order, cereals, yogurts, and more.

I was disappointed that there were no staff around on our second evening. We got there around 8 and assumed the water pitcher would be full. We had no water and were thirsty and couldnt find any staff on site. Service was ok but not especially friendly.

The breakfast was very good, and the venue was very serene - loved the tranquility and exploring the large garden! The location is fantastic as it is close to main highways to access all parts of Cape Town. The staff were caring and friendly and looked after my daughter very well. The rooms were spacious and excellent value for money!

Nothing to dislike.

We loved the quiet surroundings, being in nature, it felt like we were in a completely different town , the pool was amazing, the room was comfortable, the days we were there were really hot so the aircon is the room was absolute pleasure. Everything about Southern Light is amazing. We also loved the breakfasts and the staff and hosts were consistently friendly, accommodating and really just a pleasure to be around.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, we were so impressed we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone.

It was so beautiful and serene, if my partner and I could've stayed longer, we definitely would have. Khanita and the staff there were extremely helpful and never hesitated to assist. One of the highlights of our stay was Milo, he gave my partner and I the warmest greeting when we came and followed us around everywhere.

When my partner and I arrived, the toilet was running, and we were told that they couldn't fix it. Anyways, my partner was able to fix it later that evening. Just a heads up, there's no 2 prong plugs in the room, but you can ask for one at reception.

Ask for room with aircon

Beautiful country house in a really nice area of Cape Town (Constantia Heights) with only a couple (7 if I'm right) of really nice rooms. Two rooms have their own balcony/terrace and three have outside seating overlooking the nice garden. The pool is very nice (with some TLC it would have been excellent) and catches shade from the trees by the end of the afternoon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice too.

Not much actually but if I have to mention one thing it would be the fan. Ours was noisy (and partly broken) so not very helpful on those warm nights.

Very nice and comfortable, would be nice to have bit of christmas decoration,and make the swimming pool area to be available at night by having lights.even if not swimming but just sitting around while waiting for new year 12am .but in the nutshell we enjoyed the stay.friendly staff. More special Lerato 💖

Nothing honestly

The location was perfect and very peaceful looking out on the grounds surrounded by trees. The breakfast was exactly what I needed after a very long flight. The staff accommodated a late check-in. The owners/managers (Ayah and her husband) were very friendly and professional. They went above and beyond and dropped me off at my new accommodation when I didn’t have much success with an Uber.
