One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, bar none. From the first night of my stay, I was graciously welcomed to an atmosphere of excitement and hospitality. This hostel's greatest asset is undoubtedly its vibrant social scene. The Black Swan strikes a perfect balance between safety and excitement, creating an environment where guests can truly let loose and enjoy themselves without worry. The common areas are always busy with the energy of fellow travelers. I cannot say enough good things about the people running this place. Darius, Chiara, Lolo, Esmail, and Danny went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable. Their genuine friendliness, insider tips on Barcelona's hidden gems, and quickness to respond to guests' needs elevated my stay from great to extraordinary. I booked for four nights, and only wish that I had stayed a bit longer. The Black Swan Hostel became a cornerstone of my Barcelona experience. Whether you're lounging with a friend, enjoying a free dinner among other guests, or joining one of their city tours, there's never a dull moment. I cannot wait to return!

Nothing.

Very nice area, happy with my stay! The hostel is cool and fun, there's always a lot of activities organized and always some good music (also free dinners at the kitchen hehe!). What I liked the most of course was the team working there, and I'm talking especially about Morgan and Josephina- I had such a LOVELY time with these two, very welcoming and fun to be around! But overall, the whole team working there is a delight, they're taking their job at heart and we could feel it! :) See you soon, hopefully!

Some travelers REALLY need to learn how to behave correctly in a shared dorm... A lot of noise almost every night (and I'm talking about people who come at 3-4am and talk loudly in the room as if people weren't sleeping, lol). But this is not on the hostel, this is on st*pid behaviors of some people.

Suzanna is an absolute gem at the Black swan hostel! From the moment we arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm that instantly made us feel welcomed. Her knowledge of the local area is impressive; she provided fantastic recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and hidden gems that only locals know about. We enjoyed how the black swan is just a short walk from major attractions, public transport, and a variety of eateries. I loved being able to explore the city on foot without needing to rely on transportation. One of the highlights of my stay was the hostel’s organized events. From pub crawls to group outings, these activities made it easy to connect with other guests and create lasting memories. The staff was enthusiastic and genuinely interested in making sure everyone had a great time.

- friendly and helpful staff - you can store the luggage for free if you come early - located ear the metro (4-5 min) and Placa de Catalunya (12-15 min), also walkable to Picasso museum. But if you have a large suitcase, do not recommend walking from the aerobus stop. - if you love Asian food, there are nice places around there - they provide free dinner as well if you wanna join - best for people who want to meet new friends because the hostel has many activities for you to enjoy - I unknowingly left my watch in the kitchen but someone found it and returned it to a staff. I don't know who you are but thank you a lot.

- restrooms are quite small - keycard to access the room doesn't work sometimes

I had an incredible stay at the Black Swan Hostel in Barcelona! The team was absolutely amazing—super friendly and accommodating. Special shoutout to Naza, who was so patient and helpful, Lolo with his awesome freestyle rapping, and the rest of the crew: Alex, Bomja, Zuzi, Wuas (not sure about correct spellings), and Juan—all of whom made my stay unforgettable. The hostel's location is perfect for sightseeing, and even though I had a late flight, they kindly let me store my luggage and use their shower after checkout, which was so convenient. They even called a taxi for me, making everything stress-free. The atmosphere in the common areas is fantastic, with fun activities like free food get-togethers and pub crawls. The talented staff, who can sing and play guitar, add to the great vibe. The rooms were clean, and I was lucky to have friendly roommates, which only enhanced the experience. I can't wait to come back and stay here again! Highly recommend!

None! Keep up the great work team Black Swan 💕

Location, cleanness and staff are supreme. Just few steps from Plaza Catalunya, where Airport Shuttle stops, and many museums, parks and cities highlights. Facilities are strickly clean at all times. Staff was lovely, specially dedicated Dayane, caring Borja and the amazing volunteers like Lucas and Brenda. I'm gonna miss you guys!

Expected internet to be stronger and more stable. Had little trouble having a call at pick hour. Also the iron lockers are quite noise when people use them during the night. Wooden ones may be more silent.

Location is excellent. The bed is small and comfy, I also like it with curtain which adds extra privacy. Just don’t expect much on facilities. The staffs are very energetic, friendly and helpful. I get very good assistance and local recommendations since day 1 and that made my 1 week stay more enjoyable. Zuzanna, Zaquiel, Borja, Naza, and Santi, you are an amazing team!

It’s a small and cozy hostel so there’s not much common area, when its turned to pub crawling time at night, there’s not much seated area for you to work or chill quietly. Wifi is slow and sometimes can’t connect.

The hostel's location is great, just a 10-minute walk to Plaça de Catalunya, from where the Aerobus departs for the airport every 10-15 minutes. The hostel is spread across 3 floors and not only has lockers in the rooms but also a separate luggage storage room. This is convenient if you arrive before check-in time and want to leave your luggage in a secure place. The hostel staff have thoughtfully arranged that if you didn't bring a lock for the locker in your room, you can buy one for 3 euros right at the reception. In the kitchen, there is a vending machine where you can buy beer - it's all part of the Barcelona vibes :)

Very nice and welcoming staff at all hours of the day. I arrived at 2am and they still had a smile, gave me all the attention I needed and helped me feel safe after walking around barna at night with luggage, always a worry.

Didn't like the number of people nearby sat on benches, but this isn't a reflection on the hostel, it is in the inner city and a fantastic location. As for the hostel, they were fab, couldn't complain about anything. The only thing I would add would be a confirmation of a check out (I put the card in the letterbox and later thought it would be nice to have the confirmation of the check out - but that is picking at things!) GREAT HOSTEL.

I highly recommend this hostel! The atmosphere was very social and friendly! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire staff - Ruth, Darius, Gaspar, Zadkiel, just to name a few. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to ensure guests had a comfortable experience. The location was also very convenient - easily accessible and close to the Arch of Triumph. Additionally, the social activities organized by the hostel were fantastic and really brought guests together!

I don't have anything bad to say about this place !
