Hotel Royal Checked into the HR Royal hotel after arriving in Benidorm (Levante Beach) using the local Bus service from Alicante Airport, I was amazed how easy it was. (40 minutes nonstop €9.00.) There was a very warm welcome in reception and after doing all the paperwork I found myself on the top floor in a nice size room with a large double bed. (No sea views here) (No USB Sockets) I Initially booked B&B only but after experiencing the impressive food on offer the next morning I upgraded to half board, when a chef asks you how you like your bacon and cooks it in front of you, it’s a big plus from me. The bar area was quite busy, and waiters were serving drinks from the bottle of spirits at your table, it’s nice to see what you’re really drinking. (The old Spanish way) A great team were running this bar, creating an atmosphere and great rapport with the clients (See Photo – Juan Antonio – Guillermo – Martin) All smartly dressed as one would expect from a four-star hotel bar. They have an in-house entertainer with speakers big enough to play at Wembley and tonight there was a guest cabaret singer, very good although the voice was a cross between Freddy Mercury and my mother’s old whistling kettle. The room service was very good, cleaned, bed made and fresh towels etc every day by happy staff all wearing a smile. This is a very nice hotel well managed hotel not far from the beach and all the action, the whole place being spick & span and run by a very smart professional team. A must stay if visiting Benidorm (Adults Only).

The breakfast is always very good and a good selection of food. We love the location,we are close to all amenities. Our room is always clean and comfortable.The bed is good and firm and linen spotless.

The fridge is not very cold and because it is small,I cannot keep much bottles of cava in it.There is actually space where the fridge is to fit a regular one in there.I know the small fridges are more expensive then the ordinary ones cost.Worth a thought for the hotels sake of economy!

My husband,my girlfriend and myself have been to the Royale before many times and enjoy your hotel very much each time.We love the breakfast and dinner.Our rooms are always clean and serviced well.We plan to come back again soon.We feel the reception we have received on arrival,and at other times has been much more friendly and welcoming than in previous years.Thank you for this.

The porridge for breakfast was very thin and watery.There should be more porridge flakes used and made on water.

great choice for breakfast, just a short walk from the beach, room was large, bed was huge, bed and towels changed every other day, had a pool view from room, and also the hotel is in a very quiet area

because the hotel is not on the sea front, there is not much of a view, only other tall buildings, buts its benidorm, and we knew that before we went, would not put me off booking the hotel again, also, because my husband uses a walking stick we didnt use the high sun bed area, only because of the metal stairs

The staff were so friendly and helpful with everything, the dinner buffet was lovely too! Any questions were answered by the staff in detail, could not fault them, 10/10 for customer service! Our Room was kept tidy and stocked with essentials throughout our stay by the lovely cleaners. The whole journey was smooth and stress free from check-in to check-out which is exactly what you need on holiday!

The lift was extremely slow getting to us (5th floor) when we wanted to go out, at times we were stood for 5 minutes waiting for a lift to leave the hotel. The breakfast was the same price as the dinner (€12), which came as a bit of a shock when there is so much more to offer with dinner and not much at breakfast. On our confirmation we were advised €8 for breakfast but ended up paying more.

Excellent breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very clean comfortable room. Evening entertainment was fun. Close to the old town. Was about a 20 minute walk from the tram station and a similar distance to the bus station. Was good to have UK tv channels (Also had French, German etc channels too). Did not use the pool.

Difficult to find fault really. Did not stay in any other hotel in Benidorm so cant compare but would certainly recomend RH Royal.

Breakfast and dinner were very good.The hotel is located very close to everything.The room was comfortable and clean.We missed the tea and coffee making facilities,I love a cuppa in the afternoon.There was also no notepaper in the room.

the staff make this hotel. we were welcomed back with a very friendly greeting and they can’t do enough to make the stay special. I can’t praise the bar staff enough, also the lovely ladies in the restaurant are fab.

nothing really! maybe a few younger guests would be good as I felt like the youngest person staying there, but I still mingled in and had a great time. I noticed there is a lot more of a mixture of age groups in July rather than this time over new year.

Staff are excellent, so polite and helpful, not just to the point of doing their job but that little bit extra above. Adults only was a big plus for me Location was good, just up the road from Winners and a few other popular bars and restaurants.

Entertainment was ok... But mixed with the TV and a number of loud talkers certainly made it difficult to hear them clearly or engage, perhaps find a way to section it off into 2 rooms/extend the bar area

Cleanliness, room size and comfort, bathroom, food (good and revolving selection, live cooking, although sometimes stuff got cold - as per usual at a hotel buffet), restaurant and bar personell friendliness. We had all inclusive 'gold' package which got us a lot of things at the bar and in the restaurant. Mask wearing among guests and some male service personnel less than ideal (nose out etc). Guests without masks were reminded by management though. In March the air condition was still in heating mode, room got warm even with a lot of fresh air (got a fan after mentioning this to reception). Having windows open during the night also pronounced the issue with being in the middle of Benidorm: Loud people, vehicles etc. This might not be an issue when the air condition is cooling, as the sound proofing to the outside is fine. Inside the hotel we could sometimes hear other rooms, but not more than in other hotels.
