You cannot get a better location in Salamanca. Full stop. On top of this the hotel meets the highest standards of hospitality. It is simply a superb hotel. You have windows that you can open. The AC is super quiet. Toilet and bathroom facilities are outstanding. There is nothing to fault, except the bar, which is not open when bars should be open and even when it's open, it's a bit boring.

The bar opposite the reception. The hotel could and should make this a feature bar, instead it feels like they really don't want anybody to see it or have a drink there. The parking garage is not easy to find. In old cities with tight streets things aren't always easy to organise, but a detailed little map of where the garage is and how to get there would be very helpful. We've been there four times during the past 8 years, but when roadworks or weekend fairs result in road closures things can become very confusing and a good navigator becomes indispensable. So send your guests a small map to make things easier.

Fantastic location - couldn’t be more convenient for walking around the sights of lovely Salamanca! Staff were helpful, and suggested restaurants, including an amazing vegetarian restaurant El Laurel where we had a memorable lunch. Rooms were sizeable and comfortable, and the location was very quiet at night. Breakfast ample with a good choice of fresh fruit. Another top tip - Vinodiario tapas - best of the 9 day trip.

Reported problem with blocked shower drain, bathroom started to flood after 30 seconds! Unfortunately this was not sorted during our 2 night stay - a pity as it wasn’t the best way to start the day. Hotel then charged €1.50 for an ‘extra’ water -think that should have been waived as a gesture of goodwill! No other issues.

The room was large with two twin plus beds, a desk, two nightstands, and an armchair. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a large wardrobe with two large drawers and shelves. A safe was located in the wardrobe. The bathroom was large with double sinks and a bidet. Breakfast was good with plenty of sweet and savory choices. The laundry was quite cheap for this level of hotel and they did a very good job on my clothes. The hotel is located directly behind the Cathedral and easy walking distance of most of the major sites.

The hotel advertises that they offer room service. I was not able to book fast trains from Cordoba to Salamanca, and after 6 hours on trains, I was looking forward to ordering something and just relaxing in my room. Unfortunately, I discovered that room service is only available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as are the bar and cafe. I had a "room with a cathedral view." It was nice but because everything around is made of stone, sounds carry. People were out quite late and walked directly under the windows of my room. I would recommend getting a room on the other side of the hotel

Located close to the cathedral in the heart of the old town. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.

A nightmare hour trying to reach the hotel with our car. Although located in a pedestrian-only area, access is permitted but to find the entrance to the car park in the maze of surrounding narrow streets was almost impossible. The hotel receptionist, when we phoned - twice - seemed incapable of providing clear directions and when we did eventually get to the hotel she was not in the least bothered that we’d had a stressful and frustrating wasted hour.

The property was in a brilliant location right next to the Cathedral so perfect for visiting the old town. The room was huge (nearly as big was the bathroom/dressing room area). The receptionists were friendly and helpful.

A major reason for choosing this hotel was its private garage parking. This was a nightmare to find (made worse by a street closure) as it is necessary to drive into a pedestrianised area (worrying if you don’t know in advance). We had reserved a space in advance and the hotel really should give more specific directions.

From the moment we arrived, there was a wonderful, calming aroma. The staff at reception were very helpful and genuinely pleased to see us. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean as was the whole Hotel. Breakfast was amazing! Even if you didn't book, you could pay 10euros 50cents for breakfast that had it all. I only wished I was staying longer. One of the best Hotels I have ever stayed in. Will definitely be back.

Could not fault a single thing.

Location, location, location. Right in the centre of historic Salamanca without being smack in the centre of where all the tourists congregate. Ideal. Don't let the proximity of the cathedral(s) worry you about bells ringing throughout the night or wakening you early, early...... we only heard them during the day / evening and not loud enough to be a nuisance. Taxi from train station was about 7 EUR; too long to walk (esp in the heat of summer!).

If I had to give the hotel any suggestions, I'd ask that they do something to the curtain rail / curtains to ensure that the room is actually very dark. The gaps between the walls and curtain (rails) let in a bit of light and by today's standards, this could be improved.

Do not try to drive to this hotel. First the hotel gave us NO prior warning. It’s not easily accessible by car. There is parking but it’s expensive and difficult to find and extremely tight. The staff did not good instructions on the phone so we had to call twice and drove around for a while. Very stressful. Narrow medieval streets, pedestrian passages, and few or no signs.

The staff gave us terrible instructions on how to get to the hotel. After that, they were helpful.

This is a fabulously stylish, calm hotel assimilated seamlessly into an ancient historic city. It blends beautifully with it's neighbour, The Cathedral! We followed the sat nav to the front door, inside the welcoming reception we were greeted by Ivan (who was fabulous ... he told us the best places to see and was just so pleasant), he kindly directed us the 100 meters or so to the secure parking with direct access to the hotel by lift... I have read a few negative reviews in respect of the parking... I am so glad I was not put off by them as the parking was a doddle and well worth the 17euro. Our room had a large terrace overlooking the cathedral ... really special as it was illuminated at night and the display of bats was outstanding. Salamanca is a great city to explore as it is pretty level but you will be glad of the comfort of this hotel on your return. We did not dine in the hotel as the choice is endless and on your doorstep but the breakfast was amazing.... We have travelled Spain now for a few years and this hotel is very high on our returns list. Fabulous stay.

Nothing at all !

Where to start! the location was amazing! directly across from the cathedral! When we arrived the receptionist was immediately friendly and helpful, advising us about where/how to park, such a lovely girl! Our room and bathroom was immaculate and as well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries also included handbag sized paper hankies and spare toothbrush/toothpaste kit! There was a decent stocked fridge and safe. The beds were comfortable and the pillows just right for us. The most impressive thing though was the view!

nothing! we will book this hotel again!
