Very good location with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants well within walking distance. Two metro stations are close by but most attractions within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean with comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom and good ‘housekeeping’ service. Our room was up a few flights of stairs but there is a lift - especially useful when carrying luggage. Also the hotel will look after your luggage until it’s time to travel.

As would be expected in a city centre hotel, the street could be noisy at night but with windows closed, air conditioning on and earplugs in, this was a small inconvenience for the excellent location.

My expectations weren’t high when I booked this property. It was a very reasonable price and so I thought it would be average. I was very surprised. The hostel was in a great position. It was very safe. There was a lift so I didn’t have to drag my suitcase up lots of stairs. The person on reception was very helpful. My room was clean and comfortable and had a full length windows and a small balcony. I was happy

The location of this place is beyond perfect. It is in the center, minutes from Sol, parks, stations and supermarket. Just across the front door there was a perfect breakfast place, and plenty of tapas spots. The room was big, with natural light and good air-conditioning for the hot weather. The bathroom also had a window for an even better ventilation. We enjoyed staying here, and would definitely come again. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Location Nice neighborhood

A lady in the reception charged us 2€, just to store our luggage for 1 hour as we had to check out and our flight was later. It was "cheap"...

Great Location, you can walk easily to highlights, comfortable room and very good cleaning.

There isn’t any stuff can talk English. That makes communication difficult. Even though we left the hotel before check-in time, they wanted 1 Euro to keep the luggage. 1 euro is nothing but every hotel stores luggage for free and that’s weird.

The Hostal is located in the center of Madrid, near to many restaurants and tourist places. Also there is a grocery store across the street. The hostal looks great, apparently it is remodeled. The room was on third floor, very clean, and the mattress was perfect for a good dream.

The only negative thing is the front desk. This person (a man) did not give us any information about the hostal. For example: How often the room is cleaned? or the WIFI password (I don't if they have WIFI). The important thing for him were the passports. When we returned the room key, he didn't ask if we had enjoyed our stay, or come back soon, or have a nice trip. I suggest that he should practice and improve his relationship with the customers.

Location was excellent! Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Room and bathroom were very clean. Not fancy but perfect for my daughter and I as we explored Madrid. Close to Prado Museum and El Retiro Park.

Only good things to say!

Sparkling clean and surprisingly spacious room. Air conditioning worked great when outside it was nearly 40 degrees. Beds are comfy and sheets are clean. Clean and very well maintained private bathroom. Unbeatable location: step out right into the lively Barrio de las Letras neighborhood. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We did not use the WiFi or TV.

Parking is expensive nearby. If you come in a car, note restrictions ahead of time; you will be required to park in a car park close by if you enter the restricted zone. Look up EMT aparcamiento disuasorio ahead of time, park there and take metro or bus to this area.

The location was great! I didn’t expect much as it was so cheap but it was great! Had a cute little balcony overlooking the street, was very clean with good facilities and the staff were friendly. My friends stayed at a different hotel down the road and paid a lot more for a lower quality. Would recommend

The location is great, with a lot of nice bars and cafes nearby but it's not noisy, my room was really quiet. Most things are within walking distance and the Anton Martin metro is only a couple of minute's walk away. They are very friendly and looked after my luggage after I checked out for just 1 euro for the day, which was very helpful as I had a late train and got to spend the day exploring without my suitcase.

It is pretty basic but I didn't mind.
