Room and bathroom were nice and spacious, overlooking the inner courtyard so it was pretty quiet - even if the hotel is on a busy street. Location is a bit off from the city center but still a pleasant 30min walk if your feet are up for it; and only 20 min to Reina Sofia, Retiro and Prado :) Literally across from Delicias station where you can catch the train directly to airport - super convenient!

Hallways are a bit acoustic and it could get noisy at nights and mornings - room doors can basically only be shut by slamming... Bed was tad small-ish for two people, but we got used to it. Some toiletries were left to be desired (cotton pads and ear swabs, shower cap), and it would have been nice to have a kettle and some complimentary tea (as we booked without breakfast), but that's ok :)

Very pleased with the room which was bigger than average for a city hotel and we had no problem requesting single beds as we are friends not a couple. This is becoming a real problem elsewhere. There was also a bath as well as a shower which we both like. Substantial buffet breakfast is offered in the dining room for very reasonable cost. They also offer dinner but we didn't need that. In addition there is a cafe for coffee and snacks which is open until 11 pm. Reception staff were very helpful and Reception is manned 24 hours a day which was important for us as we were returning in the early hours from the tennis tournament.

The location was good- there's a metro station just outside the hotel, and it takes about 15 min by foot to get to the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. Very clean and comfortable, the staff were welcoming and helpful.

My room was facing the street and it would get pretty noisy.

We had a great time at Hotel Sancho. We were amazed by the hospitality of the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us some great advice on visiting the city and went out of their way to help us with changing rooms (we switched after one night). It was really exceptional. The rooms were very clean and were provided with a soap, shampoo and some dental cleaning products. The beds were also comfortable. The location was great for us. We traveled by train and it was in walking distance from Atocha. It is also near two metro stations (we mostly used Delicias) and there is also a busstop very nearby. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel. There were a few really nice options in the street (we especially liked Rodilla).

The rooms are a bit noisy. We could hear the shower and toilet flushing from the room above. It did not keep us awake. But if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs. There is also no kettle to boil water and not a lot of sockets. But we would definitely go back because the staff is so lovely.

The hotel is so close to the metro that you can almost get on a train as you leave the main door. It is ideal for travelling the city. There are many local facilities - bars, restaurants, shops etc - a short walk away. The room was spacious and clean, with the option to have housekeeping tidy the room daily or leave it as is. Our 11 year old was particularly impressed with the afternoon reception staff, who spoke to him every time we passed - sometimes a 'Hola' if busy with other guests. The terraces were great for sitting out in the evening, with option to be out in the front or back of the hotel.

There was nothing that I could really fault about this hotel. It was as expected. Although out 11 year old did realise that some of the rooms seemed to have a balcony, which our room didn't (this did not affect our stay at all).

Excellent service from all staff. Very attentive and happy to help with all requests. The decor is a mixture of modern and vintage, and is beautifully displayed. There is a café conected to the hotel, as well as a dining room. We had snacks, coffee and breakfast in the café. Tube station is a few minutes walk from the hotel. Bars, shops, mercadona, and restaurants nearby. Water hot, for bath or shower. Tv and fridge in room. Library on top floor to sit and relax. Patio áreas also available.

No plugs near the bed. Take an extension lead of approximately 2 metres.

This hotel has a very interesting design - you can study different things in the lobby for a long time! I generally liked our stay and the hotel meets its 3 stars. The stuff was very friendly and helped us when we asked. The room was fine, the bed was comfortable enough and the street was calm. We had almost all we needed and even had a bath. Location was also rather good - not far from the city center - half an hour of walking and a metro station right near the entrance.

The wardrobe was very small and the locker needed a euro for every opening. Also, since our room was right next to the elevator, we could hear it. The room key was just a usual key, not a card. And even the locker used a key! Also, I didn't like the pillows - they were very thin and uncomfortable. Wi-fi was very unstable! Sometimes we couldn't connect to it for hours.

Smaller, intimate hotel, has everything you need, good breakfast, very clean, view of the Paseo de las Delicias or of the garden (you are asked which one you prefer), nice terrace at the 7th floor, very close to the metro station Delicias, just few meters away, and shops, including a supermarket, farmacy etc, also very close to Museo del Ferrocarril. Above all, great staff, like a family, always keen to help and take care in everything, even to lend you an umbrella when it rains.

I liked very much: Location - as the bus "from" and "to" Atocha Train Station, crossing the street where the Hotel is located, gave me an opportunity of easy getting to "Atocha" and from there travelling to the Airport. I liked that the rooms were clean and tidy, I liked that the floors are covered with tiles and not with carpet type material (allergic). I liked lots of beautiful vintage items, creative extremely decorative environment (even it might be seemed eclectic). I liked very helpful and goodwill personnel, beginning from receptionists (Three of them changed in their turn during my stay in the Hotel).

I am from such country, where the cost of breakfast around 14 Euro in our local currency is a quite big amount, therefore I decided not to have the breakfast and to have my coffee at the place, where our meeting had to be held, at Caritas Espanola.

The room was very clean with a nice big bed. The entire hotel felt clean also. The personnel was excellent. It has a nice top floor balcony where you can work or get some sun. Some rooms have also small balconies. Although the location is not at the very center, I discovered that there are many nice places around to walk. I was very happy with wifi reception too, as it was needed for working.

There was too much street noise at 3rd floor, ending up waking up at 5:30 am every day, even with closed windows. There was no boiler / coffee pot in the room, neither any drinks or beverages in the freezer.
