Everything went well: the hotel is clean, staff are pleasant and the location is superb (especially if arriving by train). The price for a decent, basic hotel in the centre of Madrid represents excellent value for money.

Soundproofing is minimal - could hear every word of my neighbours' conversations, alarms going off, hair dryers etc.

I stayed with my wife at hotel Mediodia from 23rd to 25th February,2024. It was very close to main train station Madrid. I traveled from Barcelona to Madrid by fast train but the Hotel was visible right from the station exit and it perhaps took less than 10mins to arrive at the hotel. The location is excellent near Arte Metro station very close to the hotel. There were so many restaurants to select next to the hotel including a souvenir shop very close.. The staff at the reception were very helpful and at our request it booked two tickets for us over phone for FLAMENCO SHOW. Our breakfast was not included. Leaving this negative points , it's an excellent hotel and I recommend it to everyone who visits Madrid.

Slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided to the guests

This hotel became my alternative choice due to the need to separate from my friend, as the initial booking didn't provide enough space for both of us. However, it turned out to be a positive experience. The hotel's excellent location, within walking distance to museums, Atocha station, and charming restaurants, made it a convenient stay. The coffee place next door was a delightful bonus, with professional staff always ready to assist.

Opting for an economical single room meant accepting a smaller space, especially in the shower area. However, this was a minor concern for someone eager to explore Madrid rather than spending much time in the hotel room. Overall, it served as a cost-effective and satisfactory solution to my accommodation needs.

Location! Right in front of the Rena Sophia, and right across from the Atocha train station - excellent location. We picked the hotel as we were doing a number of daytrips via train, and was easy walk over to the train. Cab stand right outside the hotel as well. Could not really hear street noise (ask for a room facing the back at the square the Rena Sophia is on). Clean spacious room with good shower water pressure. Helpful staff. Breakfast buffet (but no variety) for 12e. excellent stay.

Lacked some charm but not important to us.

We have stayed in Mediodia several times. We find it very convenient to the train station.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Reasonably priced, confortable hôtel ideally situated in a fantastic location, opposite Atocha station overlooking Reina Sofia Art Museum. We stay regularly here as the rooms are clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning, centrally located in Madrid for an unbeatable price. This time we had a room at the back with big windows and a small balcony looking over the plaza of Reina Sofia. Also a large bathroom with walk-in shower.

Thé breakfasts are a bit unexciting. With industrially produced cakes, limited fruit, hams and cheeses. The scrambled egg was overdone and not recently made. It’s a pity because charging 12.50 euros per head we would expect more choice and quality.. ie a fresh fruit salad, different cheeses, some real bread, including whole meal, freshly cooked egg and bacon.

It's a great location, particularly if you are coming or going by train, as I was. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Everything was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The room itself was very comfortable and well laid out, with lots of room to unpack and get organized. The WIFI was very strong. It was very good value for money

Lot of noise in the hallways at various times. Also I could clearly hear the people in rooms near me talking and moving about. The safe was too small for my computer, something I haven't seen in any other hotels. But I could still use it for everything else. No tissues in the bathroom or elsewhere. The balcony was chained off so I could see out much. None of this is critical, though.

The location is perfect since it locates in front of the Atocha Madrid Train station. We traveled from Barcelona and arrive Madrid about 8.30 PM. It took us not more than 10 minutes walking to the hotel. Unfortunately the metro station at the train station was closed due to renovation or under construction. We had to walk to another metro station far from the hotel to buy one day tourist tickets. After we had that tickets it was very easy to travel from and to the hotel since there were lots of public buses surrounding the hotel.

It is not a luxurious hotel, just plain and simple, but clean and safe.

Amazing location. The hotel is located within a walking distance to the El Prado Museum, El Retiro Park, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Museum. It's also super close to the city's famous landmarks such as Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Cibeles and Puerta de Alcala. The hotel is very charming, the bedroom was very clean and had super comfortable beds.

The room didn't have any toiletries such as shampoo, hair conditioner, or body lotion available like in other hotels. Only shower gel was available.

The hotel is really well located, right in front of Atocha train station, from where we can catch trains to everywhere or the airport bus. It is also at a very short distance from Parque del Retiro, and less than 15 minutes (walking) away from the central square of Madrid. The room and bathroom were quite spacious, and had a very nice balcony. The staff was very kind as well.

Our stay in Madrid was very pleasant and without major negative points. Just to point out some small issues, our bathroom door was very hard to close and we couldn't find a way to lock our safe.
