Central to everything in a walking district of Madrid. It was clean and very quiet, in spite of all the crowds outside.

No washcloths. It’s hard to use liquid soap without a washcloth. Room was a bit small, pictures made it look bigger, but that’s not really an issue.

The location was great, the staff was amazing, the room was a little small but very clean. I will be back if I have for sure. Thanks so much

The room was a little small, if we were two I will look for a bigger room. And also the room was to dark during the day.

The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. I stayed three days in Madrid and did not have to use any means of transport, as all the cultural spots (Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Museum de Prado, Retiro...) are reachable within a comfortable walking distance. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very well equipped - great rain shower, hot water coming immediately, toiletries, hairdrier, and finally, great light so that to do the makeup or hairdo without any inconvenience. The day when we arrived we discovered that the window does not close properly. Next morning I mentioned it to housekeeping lady, and the maintenance guy fixed the problem in 30 minutes, while we were at breakfast. We could also regulate the heating in the room, and the temperature was very comfortable all the days, despite the cold February nights outside. The reception girls were always open for help, very friendly and talked in English, which happens not that often in Spain:)

I believe that breakfast could be better. There was a choice of eggs / bacons, different pastries, but I would not call it as "very good breakfast". The vegetables and fruit were of most basic quality possible, as well as coffee. Talking about value for money, next time I return to Madrid, I would book a room without any breakfast and have a cup of good coffee, fresh croissant or Italian pastry just near the corner.

Great Location, near to Sol Metro and souvenir shops and San Gines Chocolateria and restaurants like Botin, friendly staff, breakfast is above average, great street view of calle arenal from our bedroom balcony. Special Thanks to Carlos who took care of our requests to get a Picnic Bag on the morning of our check-out as we left the hotel at 7am. Thanks to Nadia and Nerisa as well. More power to Petite Palace Arenal Hotel! Thank you so much!

The heating system because it's winter is not sufficient for group of 3. It was already set for 30 degrees Celsius and set on High Temp but still cold past midnight. Breakfast could be more satisfaction if there is at least Bacon instead of pieces of sausages with the eggs/hash brown & pork & beans. The safety deposit box inside the wardrobe cabinet is excellent because of it's new technology like the all the doors used by a card except the deposit box can be moved by anyone as it was not fixed and our passports and personal belongings could have been easily taken together with the safety box.

Excellent location, central to everything including metro within a few blocks in either direction. There is a welcoming and very attentive staff, from front desk to housekeeping they are the hotel’s best asset.

The hotel needs some maintenance, peeling moulding in bathroom, bath sink counter needed replacing, etc but merely aesthetic issues not directly affecting quality of comfort. AC/heat is central, meaning if it’s hot in your room as ours was in the night we had to open balcony doors. This brought in cool air but also considerable street noise and cigarette smoke. The front desk person kindly sent up a fan which helped a bit but it was problematic, unexpected in this quality modern hotel.

the hotel has an unbeatable location, just right at the centre 2mins from plaça sol. close to subway stops and also 30mins on foot from the train station. the room and also bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, we arrived after midnight and had a very smooth checkin and warm welcome. It was a very comfortable stay, we were happy overall.

we had breakfast one day and we think it was very expensive (14€) and limited. the coffee was from the machine and wasn't pleasant. i don't suggest having breakfast.

The location was great. Noisy at night but to be expected- just as well the double glazing was good. Beds were made every day and the bathroom was cleaned so that was great. Sheets and towels are good quality and plenty of them.

The cushions were a bit dirty, as was the floor which was not swept around the armchair properly- with crumbs etc. The chair in the room was worn and the double bed was sloping - so I ended up sleeping on a bunk.

The hotel is excellently situated in a vibrant area, in walking distance of most of the main tourist sites and near a couple of metro stops for longer trips. The staff were very helpful with advice on how to get to places (they also gave us a list of vegetarian restaurants which was very useful in Spain!). The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice including some cooked options (I think it was described as ‘continental’ so this was actually rather more than we had been expecting). The room itself was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and even though we faced on to a busy road the windows kept out all the noise.

The air conditioning was a bit noisy at night and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I should stress, however, that these were fairly minor things, and overall we were very happy with the hotel.

The location is absolutely top-notch. It's close to everywhere where tourists want to be. Breakfast was nice, standard choice of sweet and savoury meals. The bathroom in our room was high standard and very clean.

It felt a bit hot in the room and the AC is unfortunately very old, not keeping the room coo. When we first checked in it was hard to breathe in the room, the air was heavy and humid. Only after turning the AC for the whole night and keeping it on the whole next day when we were away the air was better. However nowhere near even cool, so get ready to feel the Madrid summer. At the same time, we do not fully blame the hotel for it because there was a heatwave of 35 Celsius for many weeks before we visited and after we left so probably the system just doesn't keep up with the climate change.

The location is perfect, we reached all the tourist attractions on foot. The hotel is on a very central street, close to many shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment centers. The rooms are quite small, but if you travel with a small suitcase it will be enough. breakfast was sufficient and delicious.

the ventilation in the room and the rude attitude of the staff at breakfast, The elevator was insufficient, it was always busy
