Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and staff were friendly.

The food was OK, but it's typical of resort fare throughout Spain and the island. Also, the sauna, steam room facilities were by were booking only and at a cost of 18 eur per session which is too much. I can understand paying for a spa treatment but just to access a sauna for 15 mins? No thanks.

We were 2 couples aged 6I0 to 75 and were there for 10 nights in May. I rated the location at just less than exceptional only because it is not on , or has a private beach. It is in my opinion its more than the stated 7 mins walk , more like 12 mins and its a public horse-shoe beach at Mogan port and is crowded and this is May. We found some bits floating in the water which was a little off putting but I must stress it was not sewage or anything like that. The Hotel itself was magnificent , with fab gardens with exotic planting everywhere between the room blocks and in the main reception/bar/foyer areas . No where could i find a review saying the pools are heated , but both pools are, and clean and a joy to swim in. Pool attendant was there to get you a mattress for your sunbed and adjust the umbrella at any time during the day.No problem getting sun beds at any time morning or afternoon. They have a policy of not allowing beds to be reserved before 10 . Breakfast was excellent with a large choice of hot and cold . Rooms were comfortable and spacious with a balcony and most had either a mountain or street view and cleaned daily. We were there for 10 nights and we would find 10 buffet dinners a little boring , but thats just us . We did eat dinner twice and it was good , but preferred to go to the port for the variety or restaurants there. Staff were exceedingly friendly both in dining hall and pool bars.

Despite Spain being one of the largest producers of Oranges, NO Fresh orange juice available at Breakfast ,only factory orange juice from the big cooler. A small quantity of Oranges was available at the fruit counter but no way of squeezing them yourself. A machine or at least a hand squeezer should be provided and a big container of oranges. This would not be expensive as you could do it yourself, as I did in my previous Hotel in Rhodes. Another small issue is the way the shower works in the bathroom , it s a hand held shower that has to be positioned by sliding up/down the bar and tightened into position . For older guests this is a pain.It should be a fixed shower head up on the wall , with a smaller hand held unit as well.

The breakfast was unbelievable, I was very impressed. The gardens were stunning and full of plants. The pools were both very good. The cocktails were great. Nice calm atmosphere and very friendly staff. Super helpful reception desk and a cute welcome drink on arrival. Special shoutout to the golden glass lifts in the lobby. Main entrance leads directly out onto the pedestrian promenade so you can walk safely down to the beach/marina in 10 minutes. SO MANY PALM TREES, can I come back now please 🌴

Perhaps modernising the bedrooms a little would make it perfect, the decor and furniture felt a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel. And it would be great if the pool bars could stay open a bit later to give an option for eating the amazing food outside in the evenings :)

Fabulous location.I wish I had longer there to explore.There is a walk up the mountain through a gate at the back of the hotel and I didn't have chance to walk it.The room was comfortable and bed was comfortable to sleep in.I stayed half board and a solo visitor.I was treated with respect and staff were friendly.Food was plentiful and lots of choice.Fabulous location with market just outside on market day and 5 mins to the beach where I stayed most of the days.There were a selection of pools and lots of sunbeds for those wanting to stay at the hotel.Wish I had one of those lovely rooms over the pool.I will be back.

My room was on the front ground floor.A bit dark and hidden away.But someone has to stay there.Everything else was perfect.

Very warm and friendly staff who went out of there way to ensure that your needs were met.Breakfast was superb buffet with every food imaginable and as much as you desired.Poolside very accessible from room and enjoyable.Safe in room and mini fridge completed the room otherwise excellent

The IT systems very temperamental.Unable to ring out from room phone and some difficulty with Wi-fi

The Cordial is the best hotel to stay in Puerto de Mogan, it is surrounded by lush vegetation and stunning mountainous views and only a short walk to the Marina and beach. Pool is heated and plenty of sun-beds available, varied evening entertainment and excellent choices for breakfast and dinner buffets. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Will definitely return.

The music VOLUME at the concert with the Three Tenors was painfully high. I’m sure that it exceeded LEGAL SAFETY levels. I saw young people with their hands covering their ears. I tried to indicate this to one of the singers and he ignored me.

The breakfast buffet was the best of any hotel I've stayed in - vast amounts of choice and deliciously prepared. The hotel has been very well designed around beautiful gardens, all well spaced out. Even though it's big, we didn't feel it was crowded. The staff were so friendly and helpful and all the facilities worked well. We would be very happy to return.

A minor point, but we were pleased to be notified on arrival that there was a policy of not being allowed to reserve sunbeds with towels. We were given notices which were also put on the beds saying any towel left there would be removed after 30 minutes. However, the usual offenders ignored this and all the beds in the morning sun were reserved for hours with the pool attendants doing nothing about it. We felt this was a great, fair policy, but the hotel needs to enforce it to make it fair for all.

position and ease of access to other parts of Mogan

we upgraded to junior suite but the properties are now over 20 years old and some need improvement, ie grouting to bathroom floor was dirty and shower door was ill fitting and leaked water badly .

We like everything! The location is perfect - just a short walk to the beach and harbour, which have lots of shops and restaurants. The ambience and decorations in the hotel are amazing. There is a choice of two pools, one of which doesn't allow inflatables, so is nice for adults and older families. The staff are lovely. The breakfasts are amazing, with a huge choice. There is also a choice of two cafes for lunch. The evening entertainment is really good quality.

One of my daughters is vegan. It would be brilliant if some vegan sausages or bacon could be added to the breakfast selection. It would also be great if the pastries etc. could be labelled to say if they are vegan.
