Gorgeous roof terrace. We had room 10, which is a spacious private room with comfy twin beds. No traffic noise. Windows had quite good sound-proofing. Nice friendly staff and atmosphere. . Lots of comfy sofas.Room, kitchen and bathroom were very clean.
Fridge space for self-catering was rather limited. . We had to keep our window shut at night, as the building's air-con system outside was loud. In mid- May, the hotel air-con was turned off at night but we slept well. . But it might be hot in summer- check if hotel air-con will be on at night. Walls between rooms are thin, but we expect that in a hostel. There are lots of ornaments, which gives a homely, relaxed feel, but some ornaments are thick with dust and need washing.

The location is really convenient, as the hostel is 10 mins from the bus station and just by the river: crossing the bridge you will be in the cool Triana neighborhood. Otherwise, it's just a small walk towards all the main attractions. The best thing is the rooftop, with a wonderful view over the cathedral which is great at day and night, which is also the reason why I decided to pay 4€ for the breakfast every morning: you get cereal, milk, juice, coffee, buiscuits and small pastries, bread and spreads. Of course you can decide to shop your own groceries and use the communal kitchen. Lockers are included, but you need to rent a towel (2€).
I slept in a 6-bed dorm, all in all I didn't have any problems, but there's no AC so windows are open all the time time and the room was facing the main street which is always noisy day and night: not recommended for people with a light sleep.

La Flamenka Hostel is at the best location, just some walking minutes away from the palace which is worth a visit. Also, there are many restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities close by. The team is cool, supportive, and open for a nice little chitchat. The Rooftop Terrace is a beautiful place to have a coffee in the morning.
The breakfast is a little less than I expected, I was hoping for some fruit. But then again, it's a hostel.

Central location not far from the bus station. Welcoming staff who explained everything well. Clean. Good security. Great roof terrace with lovely views.
Lock on the bathroom next to room 18 was broken. Ideally I would have preferred a dorm on the same floor as the hostel reception, kitchen and terrace. It meant you had to exit the main hostel on floor 2 and go down to floor 1 and let yourself in another main door. Privacy curtains on bunks would be a helpful addition. But overall, I enjoyed my stay and I would return.

The Flamenka Hostal has the perfect position and the best view from a stunning terrace. Surrounded by some of the best tapa restaurants in town (try The Brunilda Restaurant). But the very best of this hostal is the energy a highly motivated team of owners, staff and wonderful volunteers are offering daily. It gives you the feeling of being home which is what only a few hotels/hostals master.
Nothing. The whole place will be a 4star once they are done with the makeover of the original place/the upper floor, including the lovely kitchen and hopefully the beds. They already have opened newly built rooms on the lower floor which are awesome.

The cutest hostel in Spain! It is in a great spot, just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The common rooms are comfy and spacious, and there's a lovely view from the terrace. Plus, the kitchen has everything you need. The staff is really nice too!
Adding some kind of curtains to the beds would significantly enhance privacy in the hostel. Anything else was amazing and I did not face any problems during my stay.

The best part about the hostel has got to be its location, it is at a 10 minute walk from the historical center and right next to the bridge that crosses the river, where it's nice to take a walk in the cultural neighbourhood of Triana. The staff at the hostel was friendly and helpful and the bed was quite comfortable.
The cleanliness of the hostel was not ideal. For example common areas such as the showers as well as the bed area. The rest of the places were fairly clean.

All the infrastructure was good, the room was private, the bathroom was always clean, the staff was friendly. Flexible with luggage drop for check in and out.
No AC upstairs (kitchen and living room). When we were there, the temperature was around 40 degrees outside, and there’s no good ventilation in these areas. Besides, they complained that I washed my underwear in the bathroom, telling me I should use the paid washing machine for that. I didn’t understand why.

The two most important advantages of this hostel is the clean toilets (great job, staff!) and the beautiful terrace with a wonderful view of the city. The rooms are cossy and clean and the stuff was really helpful.
The only problem is that the windows do not always shut as well as they should and this is a busy street. We personally had no problem sleeping, though. It was more like a white noise, from the restaurant at the basement of the building, but still, it may annoy some people.

my flight home was late so i needed somewhere to have a rest, store luggage and do some work so i booked a bed here but didn't actually stay over night. Nice and clean, good bathroom, central locations, nice rooftop terrace, good WiFi
I did think i had booked and all female room but then ended up in an all male dorm with 6 beds, it wasn't a problem but i thought i had booked something else so maybe double check when booking, they will all very nice and must have thought it was very odd having a 52 year old lady in with them haha...
