The service was outstanding. Enrique the receptionist was so lovely- warm, kind, friendly and funny too : )He went out of his way to juggle around a few details for me and I stayed in the gorgeous room with large balcony over the pool. He also provided me with coffee when I watched Queen Elizabeth's funeral today. Gracias! The place is kept spotlessly clean (including the pool), the location is perfect and it's well worthy of its awards, especially as it's a budget hotel. It's the 5th time I've stayed there and I would stay again. All the staff are very friendly. The management should be proud of the brand and the people they employ, they're real assets to the company.

The breakfast was really good, the fruit was fresh and nice, it was very complete. The room was clean, tidy, big, comfortable, the only thing that I fix is the mattress, it was a little old. The location was wonderful in the middle of the town, a 3 blocks from the beach, you can go every where walking, near restaurants, pubs, etc.

It will be very useful to have a tag in order to put outside the door for cleaning, a tag for the persons who work on that. And a check in the mattress, I don't know if in all the rooms but at least on what I was.

Very friendly staff. Excellent maid service which operates most of the day. I had a àtico room with a balcony that looked over to the hills. Bed was comfortable and bathroom that was spotlessly clean. Nice pool area. They provided complimentary beach towels. Very good value for money. The check out is late, at 12, compared to other hotels, which is great. Very near the station.

Ok the hotel decor etc is a bit old and tired but this didn't really impact on my stay. The breakfast is good but the cooked items were a bit soggy!

Location of hotel is perfect! within 10mins to all the bars and restaurants and an easy walk home after a night out. Room was a great size , shower was great, air conditioning could of been better but it did work ok . Breakfast was adequate for what i was expecting with a good variety of food on offer. bonus of having a pool which was great.

not enough sun loungers around the pool meant it was pot luck if you got one not being there super early. Elevator is tiny but works. balcony on room was rather small but did the job. Would benefit from a extractor fan in the bathroom as it got very very steamy in there when you took a shower.

The room was ideal with a really nice ensuite bathroom. The balcony overlooking the street was so useful - sitting out with a cup of tea before breakfast and a coffee last thing at night in wonderful weather - a real bonus. Breakfast had lots of choice, far more than expected and the large serving window of 8.00am - 12.00 was great. the location of the hotel could not be better. So near the bus stop for the airport bus and the train station for ease travelling to Villanova and Taragona.

Nothing - my wife and I are so impressed with El Cid that we will not look at any other hotel next time we come to Sitges.

Perfect location, good choice at breakfast

This year they don't open the pool area until 11am, ridiculous. If you have early breakfast you have a long wait to go to the pool. The staff should check the pool area during the day, asthenia majority of clients ignore all the pool rules. It clearly states no eating, drinking or smoking by the pool but people were bringing bottles of wine, vodka etc to the pool. The room had a bedside lamp but no socket in the room to be able to use it. The only sicket for phone charging etc was in the bathroom!!.

Although a one-star hotel, the reviews were very good so we went ahead with it and were not disappointed! It does have the old-school charm that people refer to. The room was fine, bed really comfy, location good and price very good. We were happy with our choice and would stay again.

The breakfast buffet was okay, but not what people were raving about. If you’re not into sugary cereal and watery eggs, it’s not the best, but considering it’s included the price, we found it acceptable. We are vegetarian. Our friends (also vegetarian) stayed in the sister hotel called Galeon and we saw their breakfast and it looked amazing (obviously a bit more expensive to stay there). The bathroom was the so small, in spite of the room being quite big. Not that this can be changed, but it’s kind of hilarious how tiny it is and you almost pull a muscle trying to get in and out of the door!

Good sized room, small balcony onto main road but nice to have real air as well as air-con. New-ish bathroom with good strength shower and some shelving plus simple toiletries - all you'd need. Also a pool, not luxurious but a good suntrap and well maintained

Only one power socket in bedroom which was behind the bed (actually drilled in behind the bed head_ which supported the small fridge. Meant charging phones etc...in the bathroom by balancing the device on the bin, not ideal! Additional power sockets in accessible places near bed ideally ... Please!

The room was small but good, it had a little terrace (which it was great to leave the towels and beach wear). The bathroom though was very tiny, no ventilation and very basic. No hair dryer. The breakfast was great. The personal was nice and helpful. We didn't use the pool but it was really good to know that we could stay even after checkout and the PLUS was to have a courtesy room to take a shower if your flight or train is after check out time. We were offered to have a drink on the parter hotel El Cid Platjage at its rooftop facing the ocean (we didn't have time to do it but were very happy as a courtesy detail)...even to evaluate staying there next time. Overall very happy, the hotel is simple but with lots of character style wise.

Sitges has a very high demand. For familiar reasons I had to get there on a weekend and it was not possible to have the same room for two days but the staff was incredible in accelerating the readiness of clealiness, The street is quiet but near of the night spotlights. Smokers have some seats by the entrance to enjoy the street pulse. Breakfast is served until 12 a.m, which is a pearl namely for southern Europeans :) Good value for money, namely the twin/double with terrace, despite Sitges is quite expensive regarding hospitality. Returning for sure (didn't have time to experiment the pool)

some equipment renovation would be desirable ; the lift is tiny and not always available
