The staff were super friendly and helpful. The resort is lovely and clean. There are several hotels grouped together in a little resort area. If you stay in any of them, you have access to three pools with surrounding loungers/umbrellas etc. The pools are all fairly small and the loungers can get busy but we did find two every day we wanted to. The resort is good at not letting people 'reserve' sun loungers. Towels are free to hire from the hotel (as long as you don't lose the towel card, in which case there would be a charge). We were very impressed with the check-out process - you can securely store your luggage, continue to use the facilities for the day and they even give you FREE access to a room for half an hour, so that you can shower/change etc before leaving. We thought that was brilliant. The luggage storage and access to facilities is also available on check-in, if you arrive earlier than check-in time. The room and bathroom was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had a bath and shower, with handwash, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner in one and toothbrush/toothpaste kits included. The buffet food was really good. Great selection of fruit at breakfast. We both eat gluten free and there were a good number of available options. The breakfast had a separate GF toaster and selection of GF goods (bread, muffins, cereals, biscuits). You could also order GF pancakes at breakfast, made to order, which were lovely! At dinner/lunch, there was a menu of gluten free options (pictured), which are prepared separately and to order, which means there is a short wait for the food. We ordered some of these. The Tuna Dumplings were amazing and the pizza was very good too! We ordered the chicken croquettes, which were lovely, except a few of them were not cooked properly and were still cold inside, which was a shame. The waitress was very apologetic when we explained this and offered to get us more.

Because the hotel is part of a group of hotels, the 'adults recommended' part of this hotel is pretty irrelevant. The restaurant is full of kids, as this is shared. Families can access all the same pools, entertainment areas etc. It is a shame that they don't keep one of the pools as 'adult only' - this would be a good feature. The worst part that also seems a bit cheeky, was that we had children staying in the room next to ours, as half of the corridor was technically one of the other hotels, which allows children! As I said, this made the whole experience very much not child-free.

Staff Personnel were very nice Shows were vere professional. Hotel very near the beach.

People running as soon as the pool opened to get a pool bed for the whole day. By just putting a towel on the bed, people just think they own the bed. I understand that its very difficult for the hotel to come up with ideas on this subject, but its a very important issue. I couldnt get a chance to get one having stayed at the hotel for ten days. I was witness to few incidents involving the life guards and guests about the question of one and a quarter hour removal of towels. Drinks very very expensive. €3.05 for a small can of tonic. You can buy them at Mercadona for 60 cents each. €5.75 for a pint of beer served not to the top like I am used to.

The hotel is stunning and in an incredible location. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is clean. Food was delicious and a great choice. The pools were varied and plenty to choose from

The only thing I didn't like was the idiotic way people got up early to put towels on sun loungers. It was amazingto watch and the hotel did absolutely nothing to manage or address it. We could go out at 1030 and there was a sea of orange towels but no one near them

stayed on top floor room 3510. room a little weirdly laid out as the bed was right by the door but we had free beach towels, first fill of mini bar was free and the balcony and view was to die for. air con worked a treat. kettle and plenty of sachets of coffee etc in room. hotel was really quiet. no running about or banging heard throughout entire stay. cleaned everyday to high standard Food was served in don pablo. varied and catered for all tastes. nice outside seating area. waiters were very friendly and efficient. no complaints from us. grounds are clean and well maintained and the pools were all amazing. some sun beds could do with replacing or cleaning and lots of beds reserved with towels but this seems to be the norm everywhere now. sun beds for hire on beach opposite hotel €12 for two beds, comfy mattress and parasol all day if you can’t find a bed. hotel is located is also brilliant. plenty of bars and shops in surround strip. would visit again and highly recommend

Says adults only but that is literally the rooms. The shared facilities (pool and dining and bars) are child friendly. There’s one adult only pool but it’s not enforced. if you’re choosing the hotel for this reason then you may need to think again.

The hotel has a great location near the sea, very clean, cleaning was performed every morning, towels changed, floor washed. Breakfast was very good, a lot of different food offered and unlimited cava - great. 9 swimming pools were available, very clean and well serviced. Animation and evening performances were good as well.

We have twice informed the hotel that we are just married couple having honeymoon before our arrival. We got neither response and no any reactions. Sad. No fish and olives for breakfast for ten days.

Very pleasant hotel with excellent facilities and located just across from the beach. There are plenty of pools and sun beds so that it does not feel crowded. Breakfast serves everything you may desire. The room was pleasant, great big bed, and a balcony (I recommend a room with ocean view) Staff was very helpful. Sol Melia is a complex of 3 hotels, Don Marco is the smallest, calmest and closest to the sea ('adults only'). Although this was low season, there were a fair number of buses offloading tourists, and I can imagine that the premises can get pretty full in the summertime.

nothing, really. You can have your lunch and/or dinner there at 12 euros per person per day if you book that for the whole stay but it is nicer to discover the beach restaurants and bodegas in the old town rather than eating from buffets all the time.

Loved the hotel, was far better than I expected. Didn't know until we arrived that we could use the pools and restaurants in all three hotels on site. Bed was really big and really comfortable. Room was spacious. Breakfast wasn't on too early like most other places. Location was perfect. Room was cleaned everyday, bed changed, fresh towels, cleaners were brilliant. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The food and facilities in the restaurant could have been improved slightly. Particularly the gluten free choices. There was cereal, bread and muffins left out at breakfast with a separate toaster which was great, but there was nothing at lunch or dinner which was so disappointing. There wasn't many items that didn't contain gluten/wheat so we had to go out to eat dinner. Cutlery, butter etc at gluten free section in the mornings would be good as there were the other side of the room. There are not enough sun loungers as people are reserving them then disappearing all day, would be good if this was more closely monitored.

Breakfast was good. The room was a bit tired looking. The location is very good (excellent).

The bathroom lacked a fitted bidet which for a superior room would have expected one to have been fitted. The rather antiquated contraption that was installed was a poor substitute and maybe not as hygienic.

Excellent customer service from reception. Staff were always willing to help with good knowledge. Cleaning staff do an excellent job. Plenty of sunbeds avaiable in different areas. Good choice of food, freshly prepared.

Drinks were extra and expensive. Restaurants can get busy at certain times.

Excellent location right on the beach, friendly staff upon arrival pool facilities excellent lots of sun beds available beautiful views and great that you could use all three hotels

Not enough staff at the poolside bar waited 35 minutes sitting down to be served for lunch had to ask in the end as serving people just sitting down whilst still waiting which I hate doing.
