We loved Eva lanka! Such a nice place, beautiful beach, great pool areas and amazing staff.

The only thing that could have been better was the restaurant. The staff is amazing but the food could have been better.

The location is good, personnel at the desk is really kind and keen to help you with whatever info you need. They also have a nice pizza at the restaurant. Direct access to the beach is a strong plus, together with the good in-house spa. Pricey but overall good quality

A few things: - the rooms come without a warm or even cozy deco, pretty standard and most of all there is no mosquito net on the windows, so either you open the AC (directly flowing on the bed) or you get bites all night long - the last day at checkout a guy pretended not to have found a pair of sneakers in the room, though we clearly instructed the staff via whatsapp to take them too. Eventually magically the shoes appeared after 20 minutes of insisting. Apart from that everything fine

This is absolute paradise! We are a family with 3 boys, age 3, 6 and 8, and this is our second time at Eva lanka, went here 5 years ago and just we had to come back to this gem. It didn’t disappoint’ The most scenic settings, calm vibe and the beach is the most beautiful we have ever seen! Feels like a very private hotel with few guests. The rooms are private and clean, kids pool is great, staff are very friendly, the only thing we would love to see improved is the breakfast, it’s very mediocre.

Breakfast should be improved. We would have loved fresh juice and better tasting pancakes.

The hotel is beautifully located, we could not take our eyes off the scenery. Very relaxed athmosphere, 2 beautiful pools, a stairway leads you to a stunning and secluded beach. We spotted chipmunks, peackocks, monitor lizards, monkeys and countless birds on the premises. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, tours can be arranged at a reasonable price. Lovely breakfast with many options to choose from. Very child-friendly. We would 100% stay here again!

The location was lovely; right near a small, secluded semi-wild beach, the view from our window was outstanding, and there was wildlife at our doorstep, including peacocks, monkeys, squirrels, lizards, iguanas, hummingbirds and more. Staff were very kind, flexible and helpful and our room was clean with a spacious terrace. Also, it was very useful how massages were from 8 years old. Highly recommend!

There could have been a bigger choice of local meals in the restaurant, and on the first day, the smell in the bathroom was slightly disturbing, although we didn’t report it so we can’t really complain. AirCon could be stronger with the temperature dropping about 4C during the night in our room.

The resort was large a s v green with lots of wildlife. Peacocks, monkeys, birds etc Breakfast was good- its not a 5 start resort so better to mange your expectations- but it had lovely grounds- very instagramable! The room is basic but a very good size and I liked the 24 text WhatsApp line. Staff were very accommodating and location is next to a beach bar and a small shop fof basic snacks. Tuk.tuk is easy to get and lots of restaurants along the way up to the main town. Lots of uphill walking, so it's nice to keep.you active. All in all at the end- we didn't want to leave!

Room is a bit basic- no conditioner for hair and cold water mostly if weather is not sunny.

Great location, with immediate access to a semi-private beach! Very nice and comfortable facilities. Rich and tasty breakfast buffet, although we were not amazed with dinner. Very good service and friendly staff. Would visit again!

Dinner has room for improvement, the options were a bit inconsistent and the taste decent but nothing special. It was a bit pricey considering the location, amenities and the fact that the facilities are not the most modern.

Eva Lanka is by far the greatest lodging deal in souther Sri Lanka. The quality you get for the money is just undisputed. Surrounded by the forest, this hotel is a hidden gem. Friendly staff (the owners themselves welcome many of the guests) and a postcard-look-alike beach make this hotel a no brainer choice when you have to sleep in Tangalle area. The breakfast offer is quite wide and the dinner menu offers both sri lankan and international dishes. The rooms are wide, bright and very clean. The garden and all the flowers you have all around is beautiful and really relaxing. There are also peacocks, fireflies and shy monkeys. Super recommended.

Wi-Fi reach in the rooms is sub-optimal but in the lobby and bar is just flawless. I have had several work calls and connection was just fine.

We have spent over 1 month here with my 20 months old and my 4 months old kids. Great value for money!!! The Italian owners and the staff are incredibly accommodating with the weirdest requests we had, always available, professional and kind. The structure is perfect for a family also with very young kids like mine. It’s very clean and safe. We met amazing people during our stay, from many different countries and different backgrounds (families with children, retired couples, young adults, teenagers, nomad workers etc). It was very enriching. Location is incredible, just above a fantastic paradise beach, still undiscovered by the main tourism and one of the only ones in the area that is safe to swim in (there are no dangerous currents). You can see turtles and beautiful fish on the corals while snorkelling if there is good visibility. We had the chance to do excursions that were really well organised, they arranged also to find very good babysitter for our 4 months old Ayurveda massages are great and the therapists and the doctor helped us a lot with a few health issues during our stay. I would definitely recommend it and I am looking forward to come back in the near future.

Gorgeous location with a more or less private and beautiful beach, two pools, peacocks and lizards. The rooms are really nice, super clean and comfortable. Would really recommend this place to anyone. The hotel is actually much nicer than on their photos...

The only irritating thing is that all prices are in USD.
