This hotel should be rated higher than it is. Sure, it's not a resort, but it's kept clean and well maintained and it has great charm. Christine and her staff make everyone feel welcome and you probably will feel like moving in and calling it home. We had a larger room for three of us and a separate room upstairs for another member of our party. Both were exactly what we needed, and you don't have to awkwardly share a bathroom with complete strangers. The beds are comfortable and the showers don't run out of hot water. The breakfasts in the morning offer a little variety and they are a great way to start your day. The breakfasts offered personal service. We loved visiting with Christine and are very thankful for everything she and the Hotel Alphorn provided for us. We hope to travel here again and would consider other places only if the Hotel Alphorn was completely booked.

Everything! I loved the location of the property to Interlaken West train station and the bus stops. It was also off the main noisy touristy strip allowing for some peace and quiet. The room was a decent size, and the bed comfortable. I didn’t miss not having an AC as you’re provided with a fan and I loved having the windows open to see the mountains. I couldn’t believe how many English TV channels there were, which was nice to wind down at the end of the day. Christine was a delight to greet at the start of my stay and in the mornings at breakfast or when I returned from my adventures. As were the other staff. It was a very warm, welcoming, safe place.

For me there was nothing not to like!

We stayed at Hotel Alphorn for 3 nights during our stop in Interlaken. Christina and the staff were gracious hosts and could not have been nicer! The hotel is conveniently located by the Interlaken West train station. The room was clean and comfortable, we even had a balcony, which had views of the amazing Alps. The breakfast provided many choices of cereal, eggs, pastries, fruit, all of which were delicious! Croissants are amazing! The key system was unique and very clever, it worked efficiently and saved us from carrying a key around all day! We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Alphorn and would highly recommend it!

The staff were all very friendly and the owner Christine went over and above to make us feel welcome and gave us lots of recommendations and advice to help make the best use of our short stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of different cereals, meats and cheeses as well as yogurt and fresh fruit. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a lovely room. We travelled with our dog and she was also made to feel very welcome by the staff. I would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely hotel and would love to go back some day again.

I've asked several questions prior to my visit and the hotel always came back with prompt and helpful responses! The owner of the hotel, a lovely lady, greeted me at the reception and provide great travel advices in Interlaken. The location of the hotel is amazing - less than 10 mins to Interlaken West train station, and around 15 mins to go to the old town (Unterseen). Breakfast buffet includes delicious Swiss bread, cheese, meat slices, and cereals. Highly recommend it!

The curtains can be thicker for more shade. It can be quite bright in the morning and disrupt sleep.

The host ( the owner) Christine is an exceptional kind and sweet person going to the greatest lengths to satisfy her guests.. The room was furnished with everything you would possibly need ( even a small fridge and fan), except for an AC, which is probably normal for a two star hotel. The bed and pillow were good.

The basic breakfast with only cold food. But this again is probably normal for a two star hotel. The very high price for what you get. But for Switzerland and booking on a very short term maybe this is again normal.

The location is really close to Interlaken west train station and the hotel gives out day tickets for bus/train in the interlaken area for you entire stay, which is really really nice. From interlaken west to interlaken ost (where you take most trains to visit the surroundings) is a 30 min walk but it goes by really fast cause it’s a street full of restaurants and shops you can check.

Nothing to say here, the host was really really nice, rooms were warm as we visited end of November, great breakfast and other facilities.

Christine and her team made us feel so welcome and happily provided advice on things to do and see. They were all lovely. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room was very comfortable and was made up for us every day. Our room had an excellent shower with hot water and plenty of pressure. We also had a bar fridge and coffee/tea facilities in our room. Breakfast each morning was great. Also the location was amazing, 3 minutes walk to Interlaken West train station and everything was in easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and very highly recommended Hotel Alphorn and we would definitely stay here if we return to Interlaken. Thank you Christine and Team!

From the moment we arrived the staff were exceptional. The owner Christine talked us through the area, things to do and even gave us restaurant recommendations that suited us. Each day staff were super friendly and polite at breakfast or any other time we entered/exited the building. Christine remembered us each day and checked in on what activities we had planned and helped as much as possible to make our trip run smoothly.

The pillows weren’t to my preference but I still slept soundly.

We were welcomed by our hostess, Christine, who immediately knew who we were the moment we walked through the door. As she checked us in she introduced Interlaken to us with multiple helpful brochures. My daughter expressed her interest in trying paragliding in Interlaken but seeing as it was last minute we didn't make a reservation. Christine immediately called the paragliding company and was able to reserve a spot for her the next morning. (The paragliding was an amazing experience for my daughter we recommend those who are thrill seekers or first timers). The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and whenever we came back to our room from exploring, they would welcome us with our room neat and tidy. We enjoyed their breakfast as well, we've always wanted to try Swiss Breakfast and it did not disappoint. The woman overseeing breakfast was kind and greeted us every morning, asking us if we slept well. Hotel Alphorn is the epitome of Hospitalty in Interlaken. We loved our stay.
