This hotel is nicely located 4 min walk away from Interlaken West (not Ost), which is convenient for you to access all the major attractions in the city. The decorations in the hotel are very vintage and nostalgic. The staffs at reception are very nice and efficient, the check in process was really quick and smooth. The staffs will also give you some coupons and visit card so that you can save some money on transportation and tickets. The breakfast was delicious, my personal favorite were croissant and cheese. On the whole I enjoyed my stay here.

There are a few things I think that can be improved. The wifi connection is very unstable, sometimes I couldn’t connect to it at all. There were some bugs flying into the room in the night time. There was no curtain in the bathroom window, so the sun ray just shines directly onto your back burning you while you are squading on the toilet. The shampoo and soap are provided at very limited amount, the shampoo was for both hair/body, but they only provided one pack, and also refreshed with only one pack each day, which was not enough, I hope that the hotel would be more generous with the shampoos and soaps.

We stayed 6 nights: Delicious breakfast each morning! Very friendly & helpful staff. There´s a small elevator, very practical. Didn´t expect that really! Great location. (Train and bus station 2 streets away, including so many stores for food and shopping) Beautiful building. I would come here again, definitely! Highly recommend it! You will not regret staying here. On the contrary, you will leave with a smile.

Wifi a bit slow, but oke really. For the 2-person bed: I wish they´d have a single mattress instead of 2 small ones conjoined (you feel the gap when laying down), but we knew this before arriving. Not a dealbreaker. (I also saw this in some other hotels online, so it´s not just here)

A charming hotel, proud of its history and many areas are traditionally decorated. The property is located in a quiet but very accessible location near Interlaken West station, I’d say a 5 minute walk. There is no doubt that Interlaken Ost is more bustling but it is only a 15/20 minute walk away or just hop on the train. Personally I preferred the calm & quiet location. You are given a tourist card that covers local buses and trains too, this is valid for the duration of your stay. Breakfast was served between 7 & 10am. It was very good and set you up for your activities for the day. Scrambled eggs/baked beans were your hot options with the usual cold meats, cold eggs,cheeses & jams along with a nice selection of breads/croissants plus Yoghurt and fruit. Best hotel tea and coffee provided here too. Especially if you miss a British cuppa. Our room was their basic room but it still had a lovely balcony to sit out on. The door to this and a window provided an additional breeze to the supplied fan. Rooms are not air conditioned so if you struggle with heat in the summer this may not be the property for you. The owners and staff cannot be faulted. Helpful and polite on all occasions.

The bathroom was quite compact. The shower tray was small and had a curtain. Not something you see too often now. Smoking seemed to be allowed on balconies as ashtrays provided. The smoke entered rooms when windows open.

Great family-owned hotel in the quiet area, 5 minutes walk to the city center, restaurants and bars. Hotel has its own parking just next to the entrance. The property looks very nice, in a traditional Swiss way, the interior of the main areas is decorated in an interesting old-fashioned way. The room was spacious with a balcony and a queen sized bed. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, ones of the best we ever had. Staff was very friendly, extremely helpful explaining how the visitors card can be used and very professional. The breakfast was very good, especially the coffee. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The shower room was relatively small and furniture relatively old, but it didn’t affect our overall impression of the hotel. Which is excellent.

This hotel is in a great location. We walked everywhere and took public transportation. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. There were lots of public spaces to hang out in, if you needed a break from your room. There is a grocery store nearby, and lots of shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend it

Switzerland in general is more expensive than other European countries; but its beauty, cleanliness, friendliness, and innovative thinking makes it a worthwhile trip. Hotel de la Paix was a good value for what you get.

The hotel De La Paix is conveniently located in close proximity from Interlaken West train station and other shopping areas. The rooms are comfortable and bathroom is spacious. The front desk staff Herman Charlotte are extremely cordial and were indeed gracious to us. This is a family run hospitality with a personal touch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

There is not anything not to like about this property. The only recommendation I would suggest is to have electronic key card entry to the rooms and front entrance as opposed to the old fashion key locks. This is definitely not a negative but a suggestion for upgrade.

Very sweet and beautiful hotel with Swiss vibes. Hotel was really close to Interlaken west train station and restaurants and shops. From west train station you can get easily to ost train station or other connections. Hotel was very welcoming and people were really friendly. And we loved the dog! Thank you! We stayed six nights. Hotel is on a quiet street.

Rooms doesn’t have ac, it didn’t bother us but if it is essential for you, you may feel hot in summer. We slept balcony door open and were okay.

This family run hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Less than 10 minutes walk from Interlaken West train station in a quiet area just away from the main street. The hosts Hermann & Charlotte are a lovely couple and nothing was to much trouble for them to make all their guests have a comfortable stay, in fact all the staff were helpful, kind and polite. My room was clean and comfortable. The dining area was bright and spacious, the breakfast was quite decent too. The furniture and decor in the lounge area's are of an antique design, which gave the hotel a very homely and relaxing ambience and also featured lots of beautiful ornate clocks. I loved my stay here and would without any doubt stay again if I return to Interlaken and wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel to others.

There's absolutely nothing that I didn't like about this hotel.

Central location in a very quiet residential area of Interlaken close to the rail station (Interlaken West); very pleasant hostess and breakfast serving staff; hotel is endowed with 'old world' character and various antiques add to the overall quality environment; rooms seem to be airy and fairly sized with own balcony (ours did); very clean room and overall hotel interior; attention to detail is evident.

The breakfast, though more than adequate, could be improved both in terms of quality (of some items) and through inclusion of others; the soft feather pillows are not for everyone - but no alternative was available; our 'double' bed was just 2 singles joined together - leaving a rather uncomfortable 'gap'.

Water of the appartment can be drank. shower pressure is perfect, free bus ride and discount at some attractions with card offerd by host. shared washing machine by coins breakfasst was ok
