All good

All good but the hotel keeps charging me. Like I make the reservation though the booking and I make full payment including tax. Once I reached to the hotel they charged me with city tax. This is ok. But what I didn't like is that, I was using the room card to access and quit from parking area and the gate was opening using the room card. The day I left the hotel, the card supposed to open the gate but It didn't, they told you have to pay for the parking. In first day they told me its free and you can use room card but the last day they said no you have to pay. This is what I hate form the hotel.

It's a clean and airy hotel. Staff were really nice and helpful. Good continental style breakfast with hot food options, and a self service machine for free coffees in reception area . Bar prices seemed comparable with cafes and bars outside the hotel. There's a nice terrace so you can sit outside . (facing a quiet road). Brilliant convenient location - just 6 minutes by bus from the airport though it didn't feel like an airport hotel as it was in the village of Kloten. 2-3 minutes to the train station, with half hourly trains in Zurich. There's a supermarket very near the hotel which was handy.

Hotel restaurant seemed pricey so we didn't eat there in the evening, but then restaurants in Zurich are pretty expensive! We booked a twin room and with sofa bed as we were unsure if our daughter would be able to join us- and ended up having to pay an extra supplement for her to use the sofa bed, which we hadn't anticipated but if we'd booked for 3 from the outset I don't think this would have been the case.

Breakfast was excellent and staff were anxious to facilitate special requests, ie fried eggs.

First room allocated had cracked sink, was cold and at very far end of property. Following discussion room was changed immediately Booking.com service could have been better as I wished to change my booking, hotel could not do it as booking was through Booking.com, and I got no answer to my email outline my request. Booking.com should be more available to adjust bookings done through their site

First of all, the country is beautiful ! So, all around is beautiful too. The hotel is cozy and modern with a hint of old times. The room was larger than we expected, super clean with free amenities for the guests (coffee and tea) and cute little cushions in each bed. The location is perfect for those who intend to use the train to move around the country because the hotel is very close to the train station, actually, the station is as if it was the hotel"s backyard. The staff was very nice and gentle. There is an area for guests to chill out close to the reception where you can have a drink and enjoy a book from a small library. We tried the restaurant and food was very good ! For switzerland's standards it was a very good cost-benefit.

The temperature of the room. Since we can not control the temperature, it was a little hot at night.

My kids loved the hotel. We were a family of 5 with 3 kids and they gave a very huge room, bathroom was very clean and room had all basic amenities. They provided us fans as there was no AC in the hotel. Kids loved the two play sections they had with pool table, carrom board and other stuff. The breakfast was amazing. All in all, a very good stay and worth the money.

The carpet in the room could have been cleaner, may be regular wear and tear. Even ceilings need to be cleaned in some parts of the room, But overall very clean hotel

If I could rate this Lodge with 100* I would! This beautifully immaculate hotel was a pleasure to stay at. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a living area with a pull out bed that was also comfortable. It had a kit, balcony, walk-in shower, and plenty of closets. The supermarket and train station were a five minute walk away. It only takes 20 minutes to get to the middle of Zurich and 15 minutes to the airport by train. Even though I couldn't rate the restaurant because we didn't eat there, the food smelled amazing. They had a bar, too. They also have a laundry and ironing room. I saw a conference room for business guests. The staff, especially Neil, were accommodating. They just wanted to make our vacation enjoyable. I highly recommend this getaway for individuals and business people alike.

Nothing!!!

I was traveling with my husband and daughter from Brazil to London, and the flight had a 28h connection in Zurich, so we decided to book a hotel close to the Airport to get some rest. We went from the airport to the hotel by bus, which was reasonably easy even with 3 large suitcases. The Allegra Lodge hotel is beautiful, well decorated, with polite and helpful staff. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and was very tasty. It is very close to a train station, many local shops, and supermarkets. If we go to Zurich someday we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

There weren't many entertainment options for children (my daughter is 7 years old). We only found a foosball table close to the breakfast area and in the bedroom the TV had Youtube.

I can be a clean freak and the room was spotless. It is so important to me. Very comfortable room, had all it needed, easily accessible and helpful lovely staff. Kitchen staff went out of the way to prepare vegan breakfast for me.. thank you very much ♡ I felt very looked after.

The morning reception staff weren't as friendly as the evening one, but still very helpful :) , and people can have different moods on different days :) we're only humans.

This is my second stay at Hotel Alegra Lodge. The Hotel is a great value for Switzerland. This time we got two very nice modern rooms in the main hotel which. The modern style was beautiful and much improved from our last stay. It's possible they remodelled the hotel. The breakfast was convenient but did not have as many options as the last time we stayed. We loved that it is located right next to the train and across from a bus stop. We stayed one night before traveling to Lake Lugano and the man at the front desk was extremely helpful, he gave us great directions on how to best reach our destination.

Everything was very nice!

Breakfast is outrageously good; that's one of the big reasons we keep returning to this hotel! Very wide assortment of fresh breads, rolls, pastries, meats, cheeses and yogurts, plus American standards like eggs and bacon. Three fully automatic coffee machines stand ready to make whatever caffeinated beverage you want. And it's all well organized so it's easy to get exactly what you want in a hurry. There's no longer a dedicated shuttle to the airport, instead they direct you to the B 731 bus just about 50m (two minutes) down the street from the hotel, which comes every 30 minutes and drops you off at the airport 10 minutes later for only CHF 2.70, one tenth of what the shuttle cost. No waiting for the shuttle to leave and much quicker! It's a low-floor kneeling bus so it's cinch to drag your luggage in to the large open area accessible through the huge middle door.

Not all the bedside USB power ports worked. So double check before assuming your device is charging. We were in an older, albeit totally refurbished room in the original Allegra property, rather than the Lodge as the booking would indicate.
