I loved the location of this place and what it has to offer in terms of keeping you and your family engaged. The rooms were clean even though the place is in the middle of a renovation. The St. Mortiz lake and church (also the central market)are 5 mins walk. The train station probably is like a 7-10 mins walk but its all so scenic that it doesn't hurts ;) The breakfast as well at the property is pretty apt and decent. I can recommend the place to any genre of traveler!

This was one of the nicest, cleanest, most lovely youth hostels I've ever stayed at! The breakfast was terrific, and one of the city buses stops right outside the front door (the #9), so it's easy to get into town and to the rail station. The staff was very friendly. The room, linens, and bathrooms were very clean.

However, it was REALLY EXPENSIVE. We needed somewhere to stay before departing on the Glacier Express train, and there weren't many options left by the time we booked, so I think we ended up paying around $275 for our private room with four bunkbeds and a shared bathroom. I suppose I shouldn't have expected any different in St. Moritz, but geez, that was a lot to pay. Thankfully, as I mentioned above, it was probably the nicest youth hostel I've ever stayed in. One other thing: the beds are not suitable for very tall people. My husband is 6'5" (2m) and he didn't fit on the bed, so slept very poorly (my son and I had a fine night's sleep). I think if you're not very tall and book far in advance for a cheaper rate, this would be an ideal place to stay!

a fabulous stay, a bus from station direct to the door. it’s set at the end of a track besides a forest so very quiet and great for hikes, it’s also easy to walk into town along the lake. the rooms were just x 4 beds with a desk and picture window of the mountains. communal spaces very well planned and separate rooms for large parties to keep away from guests. staff were helpful and nice. beds comfy and fairly sturdy breakfasts are the same at yha but help yourself buffet.

that i didn’t stay longer!! bathroom was seperate (not a problem)

it was exactly as described, and my review is based on that, not a fancy hotel. it suited our needs, was clean, comfortable, and walking distance to a number of restaurants. It’s on the other side of the lake from the rest of the town, but we knew that when we booked. My son said, it’s so terrible having to wake up to the Swiss alps outside my window. lol! such a beautiful view! And the breakfast was a nice buffet similar to what we had at the last Ibis Budget hotel. Hardboiled eggs, selection of meats, breads, yogurts, fruit, cereal/milk, juices, coffee/tea. It was an excellent value. and our Eurail passes covered the bus rides. We would absolutely stay here again. no problem. I attached a pic out our window! room 301.

it would’ve been nice to have paper towels with our bedroom sink, not just in the hall bathroom. it’s a small thing, and we just grabbed a few from the hallway. no problem. overall very happy with our stay!

The hostel breakfast offered a wide range of items. There three different fruit juices on offer. There was a variety of cereals accompanied by plain and fruit yoghurt. There was a wide range of cheeses with different meats to make a plateful of sandwiches. The coffee machine had a wide selection of flavours to choose from. There was a miscellania of teabags too! This is a child friendly hostel. There were lots of children. The hostel has a playroom and a separate TV room to watch cartoons. I did not see everywhere, but what I saw impressed me. I attach pictures of hostel public areas. The bus from the train station, number 9, stops at the front door of the hostel. As I write, 11/4/23, it picks up from the hostel at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. A single fare is 3 francs.

Nobody taught me German! I had to speak in Scottish. Some children enjoyed me wearing my Scottish hat.

The locations is very nice and quiet. Staff is always willing to help and responds to your needs. Breakfast is ok. Spacious room with a nice view and large bathroom.

Breakfast selection could have been improved. Beds in the room are not very comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and it seem to be quite, till the moment huge teenage group had to take shower and unfortunately shower rooms are on the 3rd floor as well. It was not quite at all until the last person taking shower left the area.

There was a bus stop just in front of the hostel, the staff were helpful and super friendly. Rooms were clean, quiet and beds were comfy. Bathroom and shower in the hallway were clean and we'll maintained too.

The beds were a bit on the smaller side, I'm 190 cm and my feet kept touching the wooden bars at the end of the bed. It's also a little bit narrow for someone who is on the larger side. Ventilation would have been good as the rooms get stuffy but opening the windows can be cold too.

1. Location is close to the lake where you can hike 2. The food for breakfast (which is included) is adequate and varied but I did not really like the dinner I paid for might just be the menu. 3, The staffs are pleasant and helpful. 4. There are plenty of toilets and bathroom to choose from.

1. Some organised activities could be provided 2. The bed was ok but not super comfortable

The room was cozy and warm. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The facility is good looking and nice. The staff was really helpful and polite. The toilets and showers were clean and in good condition.

It's a bit remote from the central part of St. Moritz, but in the same time the location is really nice and calm. The pillows on the beds were not super comfortable.
