The breakfasts were excellent, and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly. The hotel gave us cards which allowed us to use local train and bus services, which again was excellent, and allowed us to visit all the places in Interlaken that we wanted to see. It was a short walk downhill to the train station, and there were good local shops by the station. Very handy for our trip to the Jungfraujoch, which was our main reason for visiting the area. (the price for this was not included in the free pass!)

Because of the age of the hotel, there are no lifts. Because of our age, we find stairs a little difficult, but the staff at the hotel carried our cases up to our rooms, for which we were very thankful.

The food at the hotel is excellent and the staff is super nice. The location is in walking distance to the train station and near a bus stop. Everything was nice, just wish the room and balcony would have been a bit more spacious. Our balcony was shared with another room and there was not enough space to sit comfortably.

Unlike what was advertised on booking.com, there are no rooms with 2 seperate beds. Which was a surprise when we arrived. However the staff offered to upgrade us which was very nice considering it was an issue with how booking advertised the room, and not their fault.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location for everything close by. The room was nice and clean and staff was very helpful, but the highlight was the restaurant/bistro. Very good menu with a truly friendly and warm service. Also, they went beyond their way to help me out and the chef made a lovely gesture for my dinner. I had such a nice stay and would easily recommend this hotel to everyone. Left with a cozy and warm feeling.

Nothing really! Its an old building so you can hear almost everything going on in it but when we stayed there were no real problems. It was also very warm but if you close the shutters the rooms stay nice and cool.

The look and feel of the accommodation was nice. We had an alpenchic room which was big enough and even if not renovated was comfy. Breakfast was very good and having a restaurant on site saved us time. The inhouse restaurant is a bit more expensive than others in the region, but they have a good selection. Keep in mind that some places is Swiss charge for tap water. If you are going there for skiing there’s a bus (coach) passing 20m from the hotel that you can take straight to Terminal or First, you can enjoy the entire the ski area from these 2 points. The trip is about 25-30 min with no traffic and it’s included in the ski pass cost. We were told at reception that this was not a good way of transportation due to frequent traffic jams, but did not find this to be the case. You can get your ski pass from the reception, we paid 45CHF /day, but if you go on the website it’s 40 CHF/ day, so if you don’t mind the wait you can save some money. The deposit is 10 CHF, you can get these back from reception when returning the card.

Although the location is well connected to the ski resorts in Jungfrau region, there is no ski room. You can store your skis overnight in a garage, but there is no heating system to dry your boots, so we had to take them to the room every night. The staff is very attentive, but you might want to double check some of the information they tell you.

pet friendly hotel in a perfect location to explore Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. it’s right next to a bus stop that takes you to town, and the hotel provides you with a bus pass so that it’s free as well. the restaurant has a Michelin star. we asked to come a night early, and the hotel staff was able to accommodate and adjust the rate easily.

Great swiss chalet hotel which was very old but updated with its history protected. The location was great. On the hillside, with views of the mountains and the cow bells ringing on the local herd. Parking was fine. The room was large and comfortable with a little sofa. The bathroom was tiny and a little dated, but, the shower was great and it was all very clean. Breakfast was very nice with a great variety to choose from and nice staff.

Some help with the luggage. We were on the 3rd floor and had to carry our bags which took us 3 trips.

Beautiful view of the Alps from our bedroom window as well as from our balcony. Very helpful receptionist when checking in, providing us with information about the area.

Due to it being an older hotel, unfortunately, no elevator. While we carried up our luggage 2 flights of stairs, our daughters had to carry theirs up 3 flights.

It was the cutest town and so easy to get to and travel throughout the area because the hotel was a central location for other food or activities. The staff were so kind and amazing and really made us feel at ease and WANTED to be there. It was amazing and this hotel will be the one we tell all of our friends to go to when staying in the area. We absolutely loved it!
