Excellent location, kind staff, and nice facilities.

The restaurant was OK. The food was not very good, which was disappointing because we paid to have meals included in the stay. We ended up eating elsewhere, which felt like a waste of money.

Stayed here for 4 days with my boyfriend. This place is absolutely amazing. The property is beach front, the beach is beautiful with white sand and cristal clear water. At high tides you can jump right in. It’s also situated in a lively area with lots of cafes and restaurants around. The property is very large, it comes with a beautiful, well maintained garden with lots of palm trees, bushes and flowers. It is the only hotel with such a nice large garden. We had the king room with ocean and garden view. It’s a large room, comfortable bed and very clean. Room service is also spot on. We really enjoyed the breakfast serviced on the terrace in front of the room. Breakfast has a nice choice and really keeps you going throughout the day. We also very much enjoyed the pool, it has a really good size for swimming. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and welcoming. Overall I can absolutely recommend this place for an unforgettable stay!

Special shout out to Mohammed who goes above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing stay. -special touch of owner, who will greet you personally, which is really nice gesture -Breakfast is very nice. Served on your veranda every morning. (Its always same menu everyday, it gets a bit monotone, but its ok for 2-3 days stay) -Hotel is right on the beach, inside hotel itself it feels like resort, so much greenery and nice pool -Food is good, but portions are small... especially starters. -Everyday they replenish water bottles, and spray room for mosquitoes in evening time -Tea coffee pot and sachets available also in room which is nice -When power goes off (normal in zanzibar) they have generators so you always have electricity and AC in room -AC is really really good!

There is little room for improvement which would be nice to see kn next stay here: -food takes looooong time to arrive on table -portions should really be increased -WiFi is slow... it barely opens websites. You have to keep waiting -breakfast menu to be changed/modified at least 2-3 days, because its always the same. For the price per day per room, it should be wider choice.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Flame Tree Cottages. All the staff is adorable and the service fantastic. Our cottage was big and we loved having breakfast on the porch. The breakfast was very good. The bed was super comfy too. The bar / restaurant has a superb view of the beach and is lovely to admire the sunset. The place is very charming and perfectly located, you can find many restaurants and bars, scuba diving centres on the beach at a short walking distance. Special mention to Dalila who provides brilliant massages.

Clean, spacious bungalow with all amenities you can ask for. Situated in a lovely big garden. Breakfast is served on your terrace, which is very nice. Peaceful place with its own beach area, which we appreciated a lot. Very helpful and supportive staff and the owner, Seif, was also very nice.

At a wonderful location, beach side, restaurant, breakfast is served at the bungalow, room is spacious and nice, just 50 meter and direct access to the beach. Great staff, very helpful and gave us good advice on excursions. Staff checked regularly if all was good. Easy to walk to restaurants on the beach.

Bathroom is a outdated, could use an update.

Lovely garden setting in the middle of the busy village but very quiet and peaceful. Cottages were lovely and clean with authentic local style furniture and lovely verandas to sit on. Breakfast was very good and served on the veranda by great staff. The menu was great and the specials updated everyday with great choice. Beautiful location with quiet stretch of beach and fantastic sunset spot for a sundowner.

The water pressure was not very good so difficult to wash the salt out of your hair. It was very quiet when we were there so very private on the verandas but with no separation between rooms on the open verandas so if the place was busy you would not have the same privacy. The beach area was small and also the restaurant. Guests preferred to sit by the ocean but there was limited space and the restaurant was popular with hotel guests and open to the public. This was not a problem as the hotel was quiet but if it was busier then this beautiful space would be very crammed. There was no one on reception on arrival and staff were unsure of the details of the booking.

The resort has a beautiful location right on the beach. The breakfast includes a wonderful fruit plate, lots of coffee and choice of eggs etc. There is a lovely beach front restaurant that does a great fish burger. Staff are very friendly and try hard to be helpful.

The swimming pool water is like a hot tub, not at all refreshing. There is a generous onsite library with tons of titles of many languages, these books are so dusty and disorganized.
