I recently stayed for one night at Kalele Square in Zanzibar and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, combining modern comfort with traditional Zanzibari charm. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Zanzibar, making it easy to explore local attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made my visit special was the exceptional service provided by Junior, the receptionist. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Junior is the best receptionist I’ve ever met. Highly recommended!

The breakfast consisted of a selection of sliced fruit, tea/coffee, eggs, toast and jam. There was a lovely scent of cinnamon oil through the building giving the environment a pleasant smell. The staff were very helpful and Mohammed went out of his way to assist me. The location is perfect for access to sights and markets. The room was comfortable with a fan and A/C and the bathroom was good. The area was quiet which is a big plus.

More jam for toast would be good. Also cereal and liquid milk would be a good extra. My room was not ready upon my arrival at 4pm. I had to wait while the staff were getting it ready.

The place is a walking distance from the ferry. You can choose to walk while enjoying the site if you don't have too much luggage. Very close to every amenity, beach, restaurants, clubs etc

The location is very confusing. The owner must put up signs from main roads and at every corner until you get to the hotel. I spent almost 30 minutes going around blocks until I became sober and the locals were not very helpful. -there was no hot water. Not that I needed it -You can't switch the fridge on while watching Tv -the other sockets are under the bed

This is our 6th time to stay here! Junior and Shadya always give us a great welcome and are so helpful. Affordable, centrally located, near a beach, lively bars just atound the corner, 10 minutes walk to the night market and the same distance again to the ferry.

Needs some renovation! Poor WiFi, but I didn't come back to Zanzibar for the WiFi, 😆

The service were incredible and the location is just 5 minutes walk to the forodhani market and the boats to Prison island. A very big thank you to Junior the receptionist who welcomed us warmly and helped us throughout our stay and even went an extra mile of finding us transportation. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

What a fantastic stay at Kelele Square! The seamless internet connection made it easy to stay connected, the hot water was a godsend, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Their support made all the difference

Kelele Square is a beachside haven with everything you need nearby. Its prime location and excellent services made for a memorable stay.

Excellent value for your dollars. That is, you get a lot for such a small price. Clean place, very friendly staff, decent room, unbeatable location. Our room even had a fridge, a large TV, separate shower and toilet (not common, much appreciated). Of course the room is not high standard, tiny even claustrophobic, all equipment very basic. Perfect for solo independent travellers or backpacker couples who just want a place to sleep for a couple of nights.

The room was very nice for our low budget. The personal and especially the receptionist were very nice and welcoming. We were even able to leave a big part of our luggage at the hotel while going for a short trip on the mainland.

For two persons the room is a little bit small, but thats perfectly ok for the price we paid. I don't think there are many cheaper options directly in Stone town - still it's clean and fan and AC is working well.

first of all, the location of this place is just perfect for people who wants to do everything by walk in town! then, the room and bathroom are ok, the wifi and AC were working very good but above all, the person who manages this place, Junior, is just an amazing person, kind and so helpful that it will make your stay the best! I even extend mine twice! thank you for everything Junior, I will definitely be back!

The location was amazing, 3 minutes walk to the beach. Accessible to all other parts of Stone Town. The place always smelt great, of spices 🙂. The hosts were incredibly friendly and always checked up on us which was much appreciated. Shadya and Junior were amazing. They also helped us to organise for trips to Prison Island, Nakupenda sandbank and the spice farm through Mahmoud who was friendly and followed up to make sure everything went well 🙂.

The WiFi was not as stable, could be better. Other than that everything else was amazing 🙂🙂🙂
