The vibe of this hostel is really what makes it! Super chilled social vibes, with decent optional activities such as markets, meditation etc. Location is perfect and is really quiet. Breakfast although basic is good, lots of fresh fruit. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

For the price, the rooms are really very small and basic. The hostel has 2 cats which go everywhere inside and climb all over the furniture including dining tables - I’m really allergic to cats so it would be good if they mentioned this in the blurb

We enjoyed the clean Hostel. We booked a private room for 2 people since we are older backpackers. We had a big clean room with our own bathroom/shower (Great water pressure with warm water). The breakfast was delicious. Hard boiled eggs, fresh seasonal fruits (Mango, Papaya, Dragon fruit) cereal, bread, pastries etc. We felt very comfortable there. They also have a schedule of fun places to go in Bangkok but we did not take advantage of going with them on their adventures. Great for solo backpackers too. We enjoyed talking with the international backpackers and shared our story since my husband and I met while backpacking in Thailand 35 years ago. I am American and he is Swedish. Walking distance to Ko San Road. We also saw a huge Water Monitor Lizard while eating breakfast on the terrace. The Hostel has a canal behind it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Jam Hostel! ❤️

We wished we could have stayed longer.

The location was great- easy 5 min walk to the river N13 stop to hop on the Express boat which took you to the Grand Palace and other tourist sites. Close to Khao San Road and I could also walk to the National Museum. The Room/shower were clean (with en-suite bathroom which is a plus!), breakfast every morning, and the woman who owns it is lovely and organized a lot of activities for the guests to do. The crowd tended to skew younger being close to Khao San road, but it was social without being a party hostel. I would stay here again.

The bed was hard

Everything was s good about this stay! As a solo traveler, I wanted to have a hostel environment but, as an adult at mid 30s, I wanted to have some privacy with private room+bathroom. This hostel met all my requirements. Besides, the host is very friendly lady who likes to talk and arrange activities to bring people together. Location is so close to the buzzing Khao San Road and surroundings but still very calm area with convenience of stores around. The room was designed smartly and the cleaning was well done. I would probably consider here again even if I visit Bangkok as a couple.

Very good hostel, it has everything you may ask, starting from a lovely host, a good breakfast and very well-organized activities. The structure is new and the beds are state of the art; the rooftop is also a plus!

The rooms are very small for what you pay for - there is barely room to walk, left alone to put the luggages down. The laundry available in the premises is one of the worst I've seen - I had to wash all again the day after in a laundr-o-mat, because everything was smelly from the laundry and still wet from the dryer (very expensive dryer)

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel, I increased my nights here because it was so great. C and her team took wonderful care of all of us. Providing fantastic activities for us to meet each other and see new parts of Bangkok. The hostel is always very clean, looked after and very comfortable rooms. The hostel is very social with enough space for everyone to get to know each other. Super good location to the ferries, old town and temples and palaces. I highly recommend and will definitely stay here next time I’m in Bangkok.

This is a great hostel run by lovely girls. They have a great common area with books, games, a separate smoking area, and baggage storage. They also have free activities planned throughout the week (dinner, night market tour, meditation at Wat Arun, etc.). The kitchen is well-equipped minus a kettle. They offer a basic free breakfast of toasts with butter/jam, fruits, coffee/tea. My private room was spacious and clean. I also met some fun people! The area itself is amazing. 7/11 is right across the street. There’s a great Japanese restaurant right in the same building. Many good cafes in the surrounding area along with attractions!!

The WiFi was spotty in the room so I had to keep using my hotspot for meetings. Not a negative but they could try adding another item in the breakfast.

Room was very clean, staff were nice and gave me lots of tips on how to get to places I wanted to go. Storage room for luggage after checking out felt secure too. Location is near the Chao Phraya tourist boat pier to get down to iconsiam/chinatown/wat arun which is super convenient, and close to khaosan Road. 7-11 right across the road but not many food stalls outside, must walk to khaosan Road.

Pretty noisy, the majority of the noise comes from next door, whether it be music or youngsters talking loudly in the afternoon. I don't think the rooms have much soundproofing either though because I can hear conversations outside my door and when people shut their doors, it shakes the room and makes a loud noise so prepare some earplugs.

I enjoyed the Jam Hostel. I booked a balcony room for 5 nights. It was compact but modern and clean with comfy bed. There’s a 24 hour tea & coffee station plus help yourself fruits, cereal, bread & jam for breakfast. I didn’t use the communal areas and it was a bit loud some nights, but that’s to be expected at a hostel. The staff were super friendly and always on hand somewhere. It’s very secure and in a great position, walking distance to all the nearby attractions. I wish there had been some English speaking TV channels. It deserves the great reviews.

The atmosphere is amazing, social but not a party hostel (ample opportunity next door at Mad Monkey though). I made some great friends in the common area. The breakfast fruits were great and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Muay Thai (for free!) with the hostel. They also organise stuff to do everyday.

Honestly, it was great. Clean and comfortable. Lockers were a good size. Only thing would be it’s a bit cramped in the rooms but I didn’t mind
