Great location on a remote beach and very friendly and helpful staff. Hornbills and other birds all over the place. Hundreds of tiny crabs. If you want even more seclusion you can walk or swim to the little wild beach on the right (on map). There are sit-on-tops kayaks which you can use for free and paddle around island, to the main beach, to a couple of wild beaches or to small isles nearby. If you are tired of local restaurant or need to buy some basic stuff (very basic - there are no 7 Eleven and such on island) you can walk to the main beach through jungle. It's half an hour picturesque hike where you can meet giant lizards. Could be very slippery in rain season. Also main beach is pretty, with white sand. Or you can walk to the SW cape of the island from resort.

The food and water was quite expensive compared to cafes on the main beach (and especially in Trang or Bangkok) and not that tasty. Breakfast is rather basic for many Europeans though you can find fried rice or something like that. Beaches on Koh Ngai are very polluted, especially uninhabited ones. Of course plastic trash is a worldwide problem, but some cleaning could be organised. I think guests will volunteer to clean the Paradise beach if cleaning would be organised by staff.

Beautiful location in an isolated spot on the island. Some may not like this but we loved it. Nice clean rooms. Nice friendly staff.

The food was average with limited choice, so found ourselves getting a bit bored of the choices. It was also expensive compared to a lot of other places we stayed.. No kids menu either, so very limited choices for her which we found very strange, so we had to order adult portions for our 2 year old, so everything ended up being quite a bit more expensive than our other stays where kids ate for free or at a fraction of the price. Spaghetti and tomato sauce was 320 baht as an example. Not the resorts fault but the day trippers come on mass and ruin the isolated feel, but they only stay a few hours. This was are only main downside for this property. With that said, we would stay here again.

A lovely place to stay, on a stunning beach. As other reviews mention, it can be difficult to get to the hotel because of it's isolated location and the need to take a boat from the main beach on Koh Ngai where you get dropped off but this is usually pre-arranged by the boat company that you use to get to the island. It's only accessible at high tide and that's when they schedule you to arrive. The journey is well worth it because Paradise Beach itself is stunning. The hotel consists of a number of lovely Bungalows on stilts. These Bungalows are not huge but big enough to be comfortable, with a nicely decked patio overlooking the immaculate gardens and the mountain forest in the background. Beds are big and a little firm but comfortable. Bathrooms are nice and water pressure is good. A small hanging rail, tea and coffee making facilities and some storage options. Aircon works really well. The TV is nice but there is only one channel that has anything other than Thai channels. Using any kind of streaming device is not possible because there is no WiFi in the rooms and, due to the hotel being located on the other side of a big hill to the radio tower, there is no phone internet either. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. WiFi is only available in the restaurant or beach bar. The restaurant is nice, food is good but a little more expensive than the mainland. Breakfast is pretty good but don't expect a full english! The resort pool is lovely and, again, spotlessly clean, as is the whole resort. Staff at the resort are really nice and do everything they can to make sure you have a lovely stay. Most of the time resort guests get the beautiful beach all to themselves and we found ourselves alone on the beach a few times. Snorkelling from the beach is not bad, lots of coral but not much colour, and a reasonable variety of fish. Between midday and 3pm the beach gets a little busier because of the tour boats bringing groups in.

Lack of wifi in the rooms

Superb location...rooms were being cleaned everyday... Good breakfast... Staff was very helpful... Beach has crystal clear water... Pool is also good... Lots of playing options for kids...slides n play area... Everything was nice

1. No wifi in the room was a very big problem for us... We had to walk upto reception for internet.. with a small baby with us it was very difficult.. 2. Food prices are exoberant at their restaurant and not the best tasting food! Even the drinking water was 2-3 times the normal price. We used to bought water from a nearby cafe( only other option bcoz of the secluded location)

It is a nice long beach with shallow waters during low tide out to the bay and good for snorkeling during the morning. The hut/rooms are very comfortable and there are some family suites. I spent most of the time at the beach where it is near the bar/cafe. Do note as the access is only via boat, timings are affected by tidal tables. Please check ahead in advance with staff about arrival and departure timings especially involving flight times. An excellent breakfast buffet spread with an egg station.

The swimming pool was a bit small for the number of guests at this peak period and was totally unshaded for most of the day. Otherwise night swimming is great! Rooms do not have wifi, but it was a great detox for me and I was mostly near the bar where there is wifi. Quite a lot of day trippers as it was peak season but generally the long beach cove had more than sufficient space to accommodate.

Fabulous location on the smaller and more private beaches on Koh Ngai. The bungalows are clean and comfortable and quiet away from the beach end so a bit of a walk if you’re at the end of the row.. Breakfast was as expected on a secluded island with all supplies brought in by boat. Internet only available at the reception or restaurant so only practical for brief checks. We trekked over to the other long beach and were surprised how busy it was so quite relieved to be on Paradise beach. We ate in the restaurant the first night and then up the beach where ‘Man’ operates a fish restaurant (shack) great food so worth a visit but best to go see him first and book in to one sure he’s able to serve you. All in all a very relaxing stay on a beautiful beach.

For the size of the resort there were only around 5 pairs of sunbeds. These were also available to any day trippers who bought drinks or food from the resort so only managed a brief slot as someone left. There’s always something to find fault with but when the resort has limited supplies and services they do a fine job, all things considered.

Koh Ngai is very good for relaxing . It no local village on the Island. You have to use service of resort as time table. The resort use electric generator and not found any problem for this issue . New, clean room and comfortable . It have long beach surounding with forest. It enough area for guest here to find personal space for relaxing or join with others . It have more activities to do , not only sunbathe or sea activities but can go hiking to view point and nearly bay or even visit other side of Koh Ngai beach by walking through forest around 20 min (it steep slop on exit way) or take taxi boat. You can hear birds sound all day especially Hornbills .

The resort is locatied at a remote beach which is jut perfect if you want to avoid the crowd. The beach is like a paradis, you can snorkel or rent a kayak. The restaurant is good but nothing special. The breakfast is ok, but again, nothing special. You can reach other restaurants either by water taxi (not operating in low tide) or a beautiful 30min walk through the jungle (highly recommended). The stuff is very helpful and they do everything for your comfort. The room is clean (daily cleaning without asking) and has everything was is needed.

There was a cockroach in our room which was very unsual as the room was very very clean and tidy. The staff was extremely helpful, they came immediately and tried to get rid of it. They also offered another room for us. After killing the roach we did not encounter any more of them. I think it can happen when the bungalow is basically 20m away from the jungle so we did not make a big fuss of it. The AC is blowing the cold air right to the bed which is uncomfortable for sleeping.

Beautiful location, you really feel alone in paradise. Yet you’re just a short boat ride or 20 min jungle walk away from the other side of the island. Rooms are perfect, staff is very helpful.

Nothing that influenced our stay or to complain about, just some minor suggestions: mattresses on the beach beds would be nice, just as some calmer / more quiet music in the restaurant :). Also we had better food in Thailand, which is a factor since there’s only one small other food stand (with great food) on the beach.
