We have been staying at the Travelers Friend for 6 days. The location is excellent (5mins walk from the beach, middle of long beach), close to any sort of restaurant option really. The bungalows are located in a lush and quiet garden, they are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The accommodation provides also a bar under a veranda with a pool table, for some chats and casual drinks with other guests or outsiders. What makes this place really special though is the staff. Glyn, the owner is a very charming, welcoming man, always available and helpful, that makes you feel at home right away. Grazie mille per tutto and hopefully we will see each other again! ❤️🙏🏻

After my first night the host Glyn upgraded me to the family bungalow, there was no need because the first bungalow was perfect, but it was very much appreciated. The rooms are a great size and the beds are super comfy. Glyn was always on site to deal with any queries or general advice about the area and the Island. He works tirelessly to keep the grounds and bungalows looking great. I would definitely recommend this property and if I’m ever back on Lanta this would be my go to. Thanks for a great stay 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Glyn is a wonderful host who welcomed me warmly and always made himself available for queries. The location is perfect, close to the beach and many nice restaurants. I'm sad that I didn't get chance to sample Glyn's english breakfasts, as they smelled amazing. The bungalows are set in beautiful gardens, very tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and nice shower. Great (and rare!) to have a kettle and microwave in a room in Thailand. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for a lovely stay and for helping me with my transport issues despite being very busy!

The WiFi wasn't quite good enough for work but I would recommend going across the road to the Glass House co working cafe, which is what I did. It wasn't a big issue but worth noting if you need strong WiFi.

My favorite part was the garden, it’s so well taken care of and just magical. Also the host was the best. An English man who made me great breakfast and was always there if you needed anything. It’s set on the main road, but because of the garden it is really quiet. The beach is 7-15 min away on foot, depending which path you take.

I can’t complain much because it is a good value for the price. It’s not sparkling clean and new but nothing is in Thailand 😊 So if you don’t expect perfection this is a great place to stay.

Me and my brother both rented a bungalow at The Travelers Friend and had a great stay.Very chill place with everything you need for both a long or short stay. Stayed at Glyns for a month and loved it. Considering you get air con, fan, micro, kettle, fridge , hair drier and toiletries in a comfy single standing fairly modern bungalow it's excellent value for money. Glyns place has everything on hand being just off the main street. Loads of restaurants and small fruit vendors etc.plus Minimart and laundry just next door. I even got great tatoo just over the road! With just a 5 min walk to the fantastic Long beach what more can you want! Well Glyn the owner gives you more. What a fabulous friendly and helpfull guy.He even let me leave some extra baggage with him for 2 weeks while i bombed off to visit som other islands. A really super chill interesting guy who knows alot about the wildlife and fauna of the island, does amazing breakfasts, great music and free pool table in his bar. I would absolutely recommend The Travelers friend

Location near long beach and tons of restaurants shops etc. Restaurant and bar onsite but not loud. Owner very kind and helpful with scooter routes, local info. Great bacon with breakfast! Room was large and located in the garden behind the restaurant. Quiet and pretty. I was a bit sick the last day and Glynn gave me a late check-out which i really appreciated.

No scooter rental onsite but I'm really reaching for something bad to say, because I had one delivered and there are several nearby.

Great central location close to restaurants and attractions. Enjoyed evening volleyball and occasional visits from playful cats. Spacious room with a large glass window overlooking a beautiful garden. Equipped with both AC and a fan for comfort. The owner, Glen is very helpful and friendly. He serves the best coffee in the insland.

THE breakfast is sooo good I nearly one starred my trip so I have a chance if booking in. November. The main man knows he way round a frying pan and kettle I tell you that for nothing, but that's about it! Actually absolute lovely bloke, good local knowledge, excellent map drawing skills. 9 mins to Oasis beach.... BAREFOOT! Scooters delivered to accommodation. Great rooms, clean, roomy, hot water clean bathrooms... You could live in it!

The fact that a German told me, a South East London Lemon Squeezer, about this gaff. He booked 8 days there because he loves English Breakfasts and that is a thing in Germany. He said 'English breakfasts are the largest exports from England since bombs in 1944 hahahaha. Friend for life right there

Everything was perfect ,air conditioning , fridge ,coffee making facilities, extremely comfortable bed , ALL boxes ticked .Amazing staff ,really helpful and friendly. Ten out of ten and will definitely be returning 😀👍

Great location near Long Beach, just a 10 minute walk. Close to quite a few restaurants and bars. Clean bungalows. The owner, Glyn, was really nice to talk to. He also was helpful in getting me a soft pillow (I'm very picky with my bedding), when the pillow was too hard the first night. After that, I slept well the remaining nights.

Wi-Fi did not function in the bungalow I had, so I had to use the data on my phone and hotspot for my laptop, but not a major issue on my end. That could be different if your bungalow is closer to the restaurant.
