Very good hotel, even better then expected for mini-hotel in Istanbul. I've been in the city for 2 weekends, and this one was my last and best, although I've stayed in more expensive hotel in Galata in first weekend. Stuff is exceptionally friendly, breakfast on the Terrace with amazing sea view and nice cats is delicious and not boring even for 3 days I stayed. Single/double room is small but very comfortable, matress 10 out of 10, a bit hot due to weather, but AC works very well (I hate ACs becuase I get cold evrytime I use it but in this case I used it a little). Shower is clean, with plenty of water, sometimes a bit complicated to catch warm temperature but it's reasonable and something which is not turns me out. Location - is very best of the best, because you have plenty of 24/7 shops with all you need and low prices, few laundries (I used Trump's laundry), and you are 500 m far from Blue mosque and Agia Sofia Temple - it's amazing, built in VI century and you definetely enjoy internal/external site seeing, it opens 10 am with huuuge queue at the entry, please come at 9:30 to be not the last one. For shopping, please take T1 tram till Aksaray and then go to Forum trade center by metro (google it, it's easy) - not really far and huge choice of clothes/jewelery/accessoires with very low prices.

Simply nothing to improve here - every lira I spent was reasonable for this hotel.

The services, plentiful terrace breakfast with a good variety, having a beautiful sea view where we were lucky enough to observe few dolphins, and humble and polite staff, especially the owner himself and Mr. Ahmet and Mr. Sinan.

Could think of anything. They delivered what they promised.

The location is great (the very center of Sultanahmet, less than 100m from Blue Mosque. The staff was very helpful - each time we had a question/request, they were on their toes to help. Their English was absolutely fine - there were no issues with communication. They also did a lot to introduce variety in the breakfast buffet - personally, I was happy with the food (and the terrace as a place to eat). The room was reasonably clean, the cleaning staff was quick & unintrusive. Working, effective air conditioning & solid (yet small) fridge. WiFi had its hiccups, but it worked well enough for 95% of time.

Frankly - there were a bunch of tiny (easy/quick to fix) things I didn't like: the communication around the hotel (75 m range) is pure madness (it's a very old district). The staff works every day (literally) to improve the facilities (painting, renovation, replacement of some faulty equipment), but it sometimes creates annoyance for the guests. So don't expect EU 3-star standard, but TBH I don't think it'd be better in other hotels in the same district.

One of the front desk staff (Ahmed) was excellent. The others were perfectly fine but he was great. nothing too much bother. I also like that there was no 'pay bar' or restaurant on top of the hotel so you could take your own food and drink up to the roof terrace in the evening. It was lovely to sit with a bottle of wine in the late evening watching the boats out on the water and the moon shimmering on the sea. Location was also good, five minutes walk from the two big mosques, and the tram stop.

Nothing not to like.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Apple Tree Hotel. We stayed in 4 different hotels and couple were much better in terms of star rating a d facilities but the management and the Hotel owner Mohammad were exceptional in terms of customer service . They got the best management team Shakir, Devlat and Miri. They all made our stay very very pleasant. I honestly can't explain my experience in words but onething I would like to mention that I went to a different hotel for few days since it was far from that area but we literally cancelled our booking and came back to Apple Tree the very next day. Hotel overall condition is not the best but trust me , the owner and the management give you a vvip service that you will tend to ignore the flaws. Their breakfast is much better than many others. They have alot of good options available in breakfast and the view is killer from the terrace. It gives you a world class experience when having your breakfast and overlooking the ocean in 360 degrees. Without a doubt, if I go back to istanbul then my stay will be at Apple Tree.

- Little bit of maintenance work required. We were three families staying at the hotel and pretty much all three of us were locked up in The washroom due to locking mechanism failure. - the hotel is situated right at a T junction and because of tight space your cab driver won't stop in front of the hotel and if you have too much luggage then God Bless you. But if Shakir is on duty, he will make sure that he moves all the luggage to your room.

The staff is very helpful, the terrace is a gem, and we definetely loved sitting there. The cleaning was good, we found our room spick and span every day after walking around the city. The breakfast was pretty good and location as well, but next time I am not sure I will choose this area.

Though we are satisfied with everything, there is 1 point I would like to share. The bathroom. I have never seen such an unconvenient bathroom. There isn't a hand shower, so it is impossible to wash without soaking your hair - you can either wash your feet or wash your entire body with hair, no other choice. No hooks to hang your personal belongings. There are no doors of the shower cabin so whenever you put your things in the bathroom, they would be wet. If the hotel changes the bathrooms, it would be a really good place to stay, value for money.

We had a great stay at Apple Tree hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the main attractions of Istanbul and about a 15 min walk to the metro. Staff are super friendly and we were able to leave our bags at reception when we arrived early and left late. Breakfast was tasty and had a variety of food to choose from. Rooms were clean but a bit on the tired side and they were serviced daily. Overall, recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul!

In our room there was a bit of mold under the windows that just needs to be cleaned out but otherwise the rest of the room was clean.

The staff treat you with great hospitality. Ahmet was extremely friendly and helpful. Any requests we had were immediately addressed. The breakfast and the terrace were also nice.

I think that the cleanliness of the property overall can be improved. Also, I’d recommend asking for a room on the side that has the elevator, especially if traveling with elderly parents or with people who have difficulty climbing stairs.

We were brought to this Hotel by Taxi arranged by the manager Ahmet which was so convenient to locate at the airport due to clear instructions. The ride was comfortable. Hotel check in was smooth. Rooms were comfortable. The location is so convenient. It is really a stone throwing distance from Blue mosque and Aya Sophia. There are so many excellent traditional food options all around and a walking distance. Grand Bazar and Arasta bazars are nearby for souvenir and everything else shopping. Good Turkish Hamams to enjoy famous turkish baths are nearby as well. The hotel has a nice terrace that overlooks the Bosphorus on one side with cool breeze coming through and the the Blue mosque elegant minarets and domes on the other side. A small restaurant or breakfast room above the terrace with big windows allowing the scenic views as far as the Asian side of the city are awesome. We found breakfast quality as average and there is definitely room to improve there but it did not impact the overall impression of this nice hotel. I would highly recommend this place for stay if you are visiting Sultanahmet to make the most of your visit to this beautiful and historic city. I would also like to help AHMET who has been so helpful and courteous throughout our stay with him and beyond. He very kindly offered to store our extra luggage while we checked out of his hotel to leave for other parts of the country. He arranged for our airport transfers to and from the airports (Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen) and delivered our extra luggage to us when we returned back to Istanbul. I would say Apple Tree certainly has room to improve on their breakfast quality and add more options to make it more continental so it becomes kids friendly. I also had an issue with a sluggish drain in my bathroom but we had booked 5 rooms and it was not a consistent issue.

Staff was super friendly! Shoutout to Shakir and Ahmet at reception. They especially made our stay so comfortable and were quick to help us every step of the way: from bringing all of our heavy luggages to and from our room, to calling taxis for us, to arranging airport transfers, offering advice, etc. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for seeing sights in the old city area - a 5 minute walk to both the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Breakfast was decent, they offered a variety of options daily - and the view on the cozy terrace is lovely. 100% recommend!
