Overall, we had a great stay at Grand Hyatt - it was relaxing, exactly what we needed. The room was big, the bathroom specifically was very nice with a fabulous shower and a lovely bath with provided bathrobes and slippers. We did not use the swimming pool as we stayed in January but I made good use of the spa and had amazing massages there! It was a perfect location for exploring the city - a literally 5 minute walk to Taksim square where you could get public transport to get you anywhere in the city. We only had breakfast on one of the days but it was good with wide selection of hot and clod dishes and drinks, pastries and the usual stuff. If I'm staying in Istanbul, I think I'll stay here again.

The room service was nice enough but a bit patchy - you order the same thing on three days but you never know what will be delivered! But this was minor. Being close to the stadium and Taksim square, on Friday it was quite noisy outside but this was nothing that was disturbing us too much and certainly outside of hotel's control. What I did not like, was that the manager was trying to sell this grand club to me which was giving access to the 'exclusive' lounge which was actually a very dated, unattractive room. Don't buy it.

Location near taksim, istiklal, nishantashi, and stations near the water too (forget the name). All in walking distance if the weather is right. Superb location for solo traveler easy access to everything you need. Shopping food drink entertainment.... once you figure out where you want to go, you will realize how central you are. Room was spacious and quiet. Garden view. Outdoor pool spacious with plenty of sun and shade. Spa treatments were great. Breakfast diverse selection for everyone (including gluten free option) and a traditional baker live station yummmm and breakfast team were super! Attentive and professional (thank you to zemin!) If you don't know which direction to head out, ask the helpful valet staff, they can also call a taxi for you ( safer and more reliable than the notorious taxi cheaters of Istanbul)

The smaller details were missing for a 5 star I extended my stay 3 times in the hotel, no special treatment given ( in fact they didn't really care). From my original booking of 3 nights to +10 nights. Pool was not equipped with complimentary cold bottles of water, cold towels passing by, sun screen to purchase, etc. Compared to other 5 * pool facilities, I would hope they improve it Reception staff...need to be a bit more friendly and welcoming (all of them). Thank you to only one who was supportive during my stay ( tunc?) Carpets throughout the hotel need a refurbishment! Sorry guys but time to scrubadubdub

Very friendly staff; most speak fluent English. Breakfast buffet was very nice but not extravagant like top-rated resorts. Very quiet since few families stay at the hotel. The room had a beautiful view of the Bosphorus.

The hotel is a bit old and lacks some modern features. The rooms aren't spacious like you find in other 5-star hotels. There is no playground for children around the pool area. We had a problem with air conditioning, which was fixed after the second visit.

Many things to mention but will write few over here. To start with, each and every staff we met or interacted with are very polite, eager to help, extending their help, they are kind and completely focused on customer service and their comfort. We were amazed by such fantastic people and service. Went around many countries and so far this was our best experience. Rooms are great, location is fantastic, definitely Worth staying in this property. Whenever we are traveling to this beautiful country, we will definitely stay in Grand Hyatt-Istanbul. Can’t think of anything better than what we all have experienced

Very pleasant stay, safe atmosphere and helpful staff. We made use of the pool, restaurant, bar and gym in our stay and all were excellent. We upgraded our room at check-in and I thoroughly recommend doing the same if you are presented the opportunity. Better views, breakfast included, private lift and complimentary drinks at certain times.

Whilst all in all the hotel represented extremely good value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was fairly average and, at 20 euros a day each, overpriced. Fortunately, we were able to include it in the cost of upgrading the rooms as I'm not sure where else you can get breakfast nearby.

Perfect location, clean and spacious room, tasty breakfast (includes a selection of fresh fruits). Green and pretty large territory for a hotel is in the city center. Friendly personnel.

The hotel is pretty aged though the furniture in the rooms is renovated. The shower door doesn’t have any rubber at the sides and the water leaks through the holes between the door and the glass partition, so the floor is pretty wet after you take a shower.

The room was spacious and clean! The hotel is located close to Taksim square and many great restaurants. It has a very nice pool/outdoor area and gym.

It is a little bit of a walk to get to the metro station to get to Sultanahmet. The breakfast could have had a little more variety.

Friendly helpful staff, lovely pool and garden area, close to Taksim Square, good value for money considering its a 5 star hotel. The hotel arranged a lovely meal for 25 of us outside in the garden without any hassle.

Paid extra for higher room and just got a view of the hotel next-door and the room was very dark. They tried to charge 900 lira for a friend of ours who came to sit by the pool with us but when I complained it was dealt with quickly. The bars outside close at 7pm so it was quite a palaver to get a drink served outside. The security inside the hotel is a bit over the top - your key will only let you go to your floor so if you are staying with family or friends make sure you are on the same floor.

We want to thank and stand out Sena's kind attention at Club Lounge. Always very cheerful, attentive and with a big smile, something that is appreciated when you are away from home. We see that she does her work with great joy and good disposition. We also want to highlight Melda (also Club Lounge) because from the first day she was very kind, with a great attitude and helping us with issues not related to the service (guiding us with questions about other topics) Congratulations to the hotel for having 2 nice people in their staff and thanks to Sena and Melda for making a difference in our stay at Gran Hyatt Instambul. Almost say thank to Basem at the front door for his kindness all the time!!!
