The hotel is in a good location in the Sannomiya area, close to shops, good restaurants and everything you could possibly need. A 5-10 minute walk to Chinatown. The rooms were a bit bigger than most hotels we encountered in Japan, and whilst the beds were very firm, they were comfortable. Guests can make coffee in the lobby whenever they like, and there are free donuts each afternoon, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was good, with a decent range of Japanese and Western options.

Air-conditioning throughout the hotel is centrally-controlled, so guests are unable to turn the temperature up or down. When we checked in, it was incredibly hot and stuffy and we were a bit anxious that we'd be unable to sleep. We asked the hotel if there were any additional cooling options and they offered to turn the thermostat of the whole hotel down. It was pleasant after that, but we would have preferred controlling the temperature of our room directly.

Location - Hotel is located near the JR station and the Sannomiya Station. So arriving from Osaka, it is a easy walk to the hotel. Going by train to Rokka san is also easy from the nearby Sannomiya Station, Food around - there are plenty of convenience stores and eateries around the hotel - ramen, kobe beef, sweets, and the longest shopping street I've seen in Japan. The hotel also offers free coffee that I find to my taste. It also provides free mini doughnuts at around check in time. Both rooms that I stayed in were very cosy, I had 2 single beds although I was travelling alone. Free amenities are available at the 2nd level check in area so that you can pick up for use in the room

The air-con was central control, So it can get quite cold at night.

Abundance of access to hot water. Rooms are warm and very clean. Very good location, nearby many convenience stores, restaurants and about 7-10 mins walk to Sannomiya St. or Motomachi St. The staff are incredibly helpful. They have trouble speaking English but google translate is very helpful in this case. Absolutely worth every penny.

I have a daughter in a wheelchair. The hotel is somewhat accessible. To get to the lobby, you would need to climb up several steps of stairs or a very steep ramp then ride an escalator to the 2nd floor. In a wheelchair, there is a private elevator but someone would need to go up to the lobby to find a staff to lead you. The road to the elevator itself is a bit rough as you would need to go uphill. The door to the bathroom in the room is also a step up to get to.

Every hotel I stayed in during my trip to Japan was great, but this was one of my favourites. The location is ideal, a short walk from the main station, and there's a really nice cafe opposite. It's in a centre with a Kobe beef restaurant and also a bar specialising in highballs - you know, scotch and soda, the Japanese seem to have a thing for highballs at the moment. Breakfast is in the highball place. There's free coffee at reception - good coffee - and they're got a fridge with bottles of local craft ales, I tried all the different types. Rooms were standard enough, although a bit more effort on the decor than usual, very stylish. I'm really glad I went to Kobe - jazz, beef, stylish seafront, spas, lots to do, one of the most fun places I went, well worth 2 nights.

The hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and shops. It was also close to subway stations. Double room was actually pretty big compared to other hotel rooms that we've stayed in Japan. Check-in and check out was straight forward.

Hotel is a little bit dated. While it is close to a lot of food options and subway stations, the hotel area is not really kid friendly. There are a lot of bars/pubs and hostess clubs in the area. Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault for being in the area, but if you are sensitive about this, especially if you are travelling with kids, you might wanna reconsider.

We stayed in a standard room for 3 nights then superior room for 5 nights later in the month. The standard room was good enough and the superior room was thankful way larger with spacious bathroom which we appreciated a lot with our numerous luggages at the end of 3 weeks' travel. Ideally located, in convenient central area and easy walk to airport limousine bus stop.

This was definitely the nicest room I stayed in during my trip, and it ended up being one the cheapest somehow. The room is enormous, with a large bathroom and good amenities. They offer a bunch of food and drinks throughout the day for free! The location is also great, right in Sannomiya. Exceptional place, and I hope I can go again soon!

Staff was well prepared even though we arrived at midnight. Check-in was fast and no blockers. Housekeeping are like ninjas! I haven't met one but our room was already clean when we got back even after lunch! Oh and there's a 24-hour Donki right beside the hotel!

Not really a dislike and there's a workaround. The staff has a hard time communicating in English, but we were able to use a translation app and we understood each other.

Free donuts and nice coffee. Ambiance and location is really good.

Lobby is at second floor, it was challenging to access with a stroller and a baby. Toilet was too small for me.

The location was convenient- next to Don Quijote and close to many restaurants and the station. The beds were comfortable. I loved that they offered free coffee and ice cream in the lobby.

The ramp was quite steep for a suitcase. The beds were large so there wasn’t enough room to pull out the desk chair. I didn’t mind though because I prefer the larger bed.
