Grand looking hotel and gardens, lovely professional staff, huge bed, nice food, lovely spa facilities. James made us lovely cocktails and the restaurant manager was very good at his job also. All in all a fabulous getaway!

It needs a deep clean, there was thick dust on skirting boards & cobwebs hanging in the room and thick dust on edges in other parts of the hotel like the extractor fan in the pool and ledge in changing room. It also looked like it really needed hoovered. It's such a beautiful place that it wouldn't put us off returning but just wondered if there's a shortage of cleaners or something.

We visited Doxford Hall for 3 nights to mark a special birthday. We stayed at Executive Suite and the whole stay was simply perfect. We regularly visit Robert Parker collection hotels and Doxford does not disappoint! The venue is impressive. The food was excellent and selection of drinks superb. We were also very impressed with staff who did so much to make our stay enjoyable. We particularly would like to thank Kelly (in Reception), Claire who was managing the restaurant (hope I got that correctly), the bar & restaurant staff who looked after us and staff who kept the fireplace going in the Georgian Room. Thank you. We really felt superbly looked after and will definitely be coming back.

We can’t find any negative comments overall. A suggestion for improvement would be to have a full length mirror in the room. Our room only had small mirrors.

The food for lunch and dinner was excellent. The staff were all fantastic. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, with some beautiful trees, and there is ample parking. There are lots of birds to watch, in particular the house martins. Overall it was mostly a quiet and peaceful stay.

The heated towel rail in the bathroom made the entire room very warm upon arrival. The furnishings are a little tired. The ‘cocktail bar’ is a little odd, with an old fashioned bar, but the seating and tables feel more like a 1980s cafeteria. The dress code for dinner is not enforced, so there’s a mix of people who are well dressed and those in jeans and t-shirts. There was a wedding on at the same time as our stay, which made it a little bit rowdy and some areas were very busy with wedding guests.

Good choice of hot dishes for breakfast. Very comfortable and warm bedroom, bed very large, firm mattress, slept really well. Library is a stunning room especially when the sun shines huge leather chairs to relax in. Wi fi good throughout hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Stunning grounds which must be great in Summer

We had dinner on the 3 nights we stayed, food was of a very high quality I would have liked a little more choice of fish or vegetarian dishes. The al la carte menu was expensive but you could choose dishes from the cheaper market menu. Starters were particularly good

Had a lovely time, the food was expensive but looked stunning and tasted delicious, so overall worth it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar area was a bit cold, so we wandered down to another room with an open fire in, which was more comfortable. It was also a lovely bonus to see a special birthday message for my husband in the room on arrival.

We weren't impressed with the massage experience. On arrival, we were told to come back at a certain time to fill in paperwork before our massages. We returned, and no staff were there for 15 minutes, which was the time of our massage. Fortunately, we took it upon ourselves to fill in the forms that were left lying on the desk so we weren't losing any massage time. The massuse arrived, and when taking us to our treatment room, they apparently weren't told we had booked a double room so we could have our treatment together so they went off to set the room up. This took time, which made our massage time shorter anyway. However, the massages were still enjoyable.

A beautifully presented historic house with a pleasant spa. Our accommodation in the coach house was spacious and tastefully decorated. We were lucky enough to have good weather, so enjoyed the walk up to the hotel in the morning through the lovely grounds. The food, particularly at dinner, was very good. Locally sourced produce was imaginatively presented and the menu had something to please everyone. The staff are absolutely delightful: so friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The lighting in the main room of the coach house was insufficient, we felt. A shaving mirror in the bathroom would have been appreciated. Rather than tiny tubes of (very nice) toilet products, consider elegant dispensers which are much more eco friendly. Also, a body lotion would be a welcome addition.

Set in wonderful gardens with lovely walks. Room was situated in converted stables a short walk from main hotel, which was great in good weather. Room & bathroom were spacious, enormous bed. Armchairs to relax in, small table & chair to sit at if need to write. Staff were all very friendly & efficient. Food was tasty.

The room smelt as if it suffered from damp. A full wall of windows meant people walking past could see in if curtains open. As it's set in woodland, there were plenty of spiders in the room. Just small ones, so I didn't freak too much, in the bed & towels!! The room had one wall heater that struggled to heat the room. Had to add the extra blanket supplied. Had to rearrange furniture to be able comfortably watch the TV. Otherwise, it meant sitting on armchair with head at 90°.

Big clean room and bathroom. Very quiet. Plenty of choice for breakfast but same dinner menu the 3 nights we were there so we went out for 2 of them. Drinks prices very expensive. Due to unexpected problems at home we had to leave at 5.a.m.on our final morning but the night porter was most understanding and explained that we would be contacted by the hotel re paying our outstanding bill.

Although the cottage we stayed in was very pleasant it was about a 200 yard walk to the main building for breakfast. Fortunately the weather was good otherwise we may have had to drive over to keep dry. Only windows that could be opened were Velux roof windows. Found one or two small cockroach like beetles in the bedroom. We do appreciate that this is not unusual in cottage style properties so didn't worry too much.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated in a lovely rural location so very quiet. staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Food was good.

More focus on Cleanliness needed. Dusty toilet lid and on lower sash window. More light needed at dressing table and electric socket is situated almost behind radiator so wires from hair dryer touching hot radiator. Carpets throughout the hotel could do with a clean. No baileys in the bar 😞 Love the maze but was very muddy so we didn't finish it. No atmosphere in the bar and very small.

We stayed for post Christmas break as a treat, and we can say it was beautiful. Everything we expected. The staff at reception were super friendly and couldn't help enough. The room was an executive room with ample room, lovely and cosy. Plenty of storage and space to sit. We had an evening meal in the bar and the staff member was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast both mornings had great selection and service was pleasant. The spa was just was needed. The outdoor areas were great to explore though recent wet weather and poor shoe choice meant we couldn't explore the maze. Would highly recommend and would definitely return

Mattress was a little thin and light under the room door was a bit of a disturbance but not enough to turn us away. The spa was quint but definitely tired and needs some tlc.
