Everything! Beautiful, spacious room - tasteful and comfortable, with every facility the heart could desire. Lovely bathroom, also spacious, with a great shower and plenty of hot water. All absolutely spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were well cooked, plentiful and delicious, with a great menu to choose from, and Harvey willing to accommodate special requests. The X-factor was, in fact, Harvey and his enthusiastic co-host, Roxy (the Jack Russell/Dachshund). You couldn’t wish for a more welcoming host, with lots of advice and information on the area, which was very useful. A very entertaining and interesting person to talk to,with a great sense of humour. Entertaining and hosting is Harvey’s forté.

A fantastic adult only boutique b&b. Situated on the main street in Alnmouth. Close to the beach with lots of lovely places to eat & have a drink. We were warmly welcomed and shown around. There's an honesty bar if you just want to enjoy the beautiful rooms, and we had a lovely evening in the spacious St.Bede room. The hospitality tray was first class, with a cafeteria and good coffee. A fine selection of teas, fresh milk & biscuits. The waterfall shower and Elemis toiletries were an added luxury. The room also had a bath set into an alcove, overlooking the roof tops. Breakfast was a buffet selection with food cooked to order. We travelled by train and got the bus the following day to Alnwick. I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for something special.

To short a stay

what can I say. Harvey was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable and informative of eateries, where to go etc, the room was very spacious and comfortable relaxing. we had the St Cuthbert room and honestly it was brilliant clean comfy not too warm and we had a brill night sleep. we then woke early on the morning and took a walk down to the beach then once we got back we had our breakfast and i must say it was a lovely variety of breakfast on the menu with cereals etc for you to choose from too. honestly everything was great and we hope to come again soon for a coupe of days rather than just one night. and Roxy the resident dog is just the cutest we loved giving her tummy rubs x

there wasn't anything that we could find wrong. we were happy with everything. and we can't wait to get booked in with you again sometime.

Everything!! Harvey was a fantastic host, very warm and welcoming and the little touches he provided, both in the room and with his actions were really appreciative. The room (St Benedict) was a lovely, luxuriously decorated room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were homecooked and delicious, with a lovely menu selection that included quality ingredients.

That we wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Perfect B&B in the middle of Alnmouth, a lovely little village on the coast of Northumberland. The room was beautiful and luxurious, the bed really comfortable and the bathroom/toiletries first class. Harvey was the perfect host and cooked wonderful breakfasts! We wouldn't hesitate to return again when visiting the area.

The location was excellent -- charming village -- lovely for walking on the beach -- excellent breakfast -- room both comfortable and elegant -- and the owner, Harvey, couldn't have been more gracious or helpful. His place has my highest recommendation.

Nothing could have been better, except staying longer.

The property is Amazing. The bed is so very comfy and we loved the bath.The whole property has the WOW Factor!!! We had a yummy breakfast in the morning lots of choice. Harvey was such an Amazing host and the little furry friend was so cute. The house is near everything and the beach is just a short walk away. We definitely will be back 😀Thanks Harvey for makeing us feel so welcome.

That we did not book more nights😞

We loved St Valery. Fabulous house, immaculately clean, and in a great location. Harvey is the loveliest and warmest of hosts, ably assisted by Roxy. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and beautifully cooked, and the honesty bar was a nice touch. We couldn't have wished for anything more for a truly relaxing weekend, we can't wait to return again soon. Thank you Harvey & Roxy.

Having to leave

Wow! What a gem of a place! Harvey and Roxy the dog gave us the warmest welcome, lots of recommendations too! The B+B was amazing in every way and a perfect location, so close to the gorgeous beach, pubs, restaurants and a good base for coastal walks. The breakfasts were incredible too! Lots of choice, delicious and fresh, perfectly cooked plus we really enjoyed the coffee and chats each morning.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Every aspect of our stay was lovely, largely due to the hospitality provided by Harvey and Roxy. The breakfasts were exceptional.

Nothing major; the lack of car parking was a minor irritation but this is very clearly explained on the St Valery website so our expectations to hunt for a space were set in advance.
