Staff excellent. Helpful, friendly, obliging, Couldn't fault them. Room was excellent, size as expected bathroom facilities and size excellent. location stunning, and premises very impressive.

From arrival, registration, porter services, drinks, and dinner all excellent. However we did not expect to be served breakfast in the bar which allows dogs! Having sat down to breakfast with other guests we were very surprised to see a couple join us at the next table with their dog! We are dog friendly, but to stay in a 5 star hotel and have to eat breakfast with a dog is unacceptable, particularly if the dog suffers from flatulence! I can't think of anything worse to put you off your breakfast.

I recently stayed at Pale Hall and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable with staff going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The food was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from, and the location was perfect, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to local attractions. The hotel room was excellent and well-appointed, providing the perfect space to relax and unwind. I would like to give a special mention to Paul, who was a fantastic member of the staff and provided exceptional service during my stay. Overall, I highly recommend Pale Hall for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable experience."

only one minor fault and I’m being picky to be honest. staff are all great and are well trained, however they lack leadership just to oversea the minor details of everyday routine.

The ambience of the hotel was wonderful - very friendly staff who worked hard to make you feel at home. The room was comfortable and the bed very much so and a lovely bathroom with lots of products. What really stood out for me was the food - superb breakfasts and the two dinners we ate were both excellent.

The only thing i could criticise is that there was no gym/weights room etc and in a property of this size it would be easy to install a bike/cross trainer, surely? however there was a nearby sports centre which my husband was able to use so it wasnt a major issue.

outstanding building. staff on arriving were impeccable friendly and helpful. upon arrival we had valet parking and help with our bags. along with drinks offered, all from very friendly and helpful people. when checking into our room we were let in, and introduce around our room,. which was outstanding. clean beautiful with lovely towels and bathrobes. the bed was handsomely made very comfortable. there was some beautiful little extras. in the bathroom, nail file, cotton buds.sanitary pack. the coffee was very good in small bags that you fuse into the hot water, really good quality (we all need a good coffee in the morning) telephone you can call down for room service. and I can’t say enough how helpful the staff are. breakfast was lovely, wonderful choice freshly cooked. Dinner however was out of this world taste. we had 3 course in the huntsman and it was fantastic. again the staff were excellent and the food was perfect

if I could say anything maybe USB plug sockets for people like me that forget there iPhone plugs. but also in all honesty it was nice not having a phone 😂

Arrived a little early and promptly met at the carpark with the staff taking our bags and valet parking the car. Very relaxed and unhurried reception and ushered into the hall and given glass of bubbly each. Sat and took in the ambience of the amazing property. In due time we were asked if we would like to see our room as bags had been taken up. Then told in view of it being our Ruby Anniversary we had been upgraded. Amazed to find not just to a larger room but to a suite of rooms. Huge, palatial and unbelievable, Powys Suite. Could not be more delighted. All parts of the suite were amazingly well equipped, provisioned, and delightful. Hand made chocolates with Happy Anniversary piped in chocolate around the dish, a lovely congratulations card, and scroll detailing all we needed to know. Went to dinner a little early as requested. Had lovely canapes in the bar whilst enjoying a pre dinner drink beside a roaring log fire. Into the dining room and had the 5 course taster menu, where we explored some dishes that were very new to us. Super attentive staff who detailed each course on its arrival. Sommelier took lots of care advising us on our drinks choice. Eventually to bed in a quiet calm oasis. The morning was started by our request for croissants in our room and a newspaper. We could have put our shoes out for cleaning overnight had we wished to as well. Down to breakfast and greeted at the bottom of the stairs by staff asking us if all had been provided as we requested. We had the full breakfast which was delicious and all was quickly and efficiently served. On leaving again our bags were dealt with and car bought to front of hotel. On paying, the very reasonable, bill we were handed a bag of still waters and Welsh cakes for our journey. Exceptional attention to detail in every respect.

Zero all was beyond perfect.

The thing that struck us was the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the house - our own country manor for the night.

Nothing- very experienced staff attended to everything and our welcome was wonderful. The gentleman that met us was so lovely and helpful- he set the tone for our stay - we wanted to say more to him but it would probably have embarrassed him - the food was exquisite- we loved the champagne glasses , the little touches like the mead in our room and the history of the house. At breakfast, we loved the teapot- good handle and a proper spout!

An impressive and well preserved and restored true manor house which does not disappoint. Beautiful location and nil to complain about in relation to the facilities or amenities generally. Menu selection for dinner was relatively limited, but good quality. Breakfasts were very good. Staff ranged from being absolutely wonderful to somewhat superior and disdainful. Goes with the territory of staying in places such as Pale Hall. Ignore that, interact with the many pleasnt and helpful staff who are interested in providing service, walk in the beautiful grounds, enjoy the place for what it is, and how ell it is presented, and relax.

As stated above. Not much not to like. DInner menu would run out of options after a couple of evenings - but I understand the menu is changed.

Sat nav took us to a remote farm initially but when we did arrive at Pale Hall it was pure luxury. Pampered by the attentive staff and food superb (although wait between courses was a tad long, but overall a great experience.

8 course meal was superb but had to wait over half an hour between some courses. Took four and half hours to get through all 8. A marathon meal but worth it all the same. Everything else was spot on.

What can I say the whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. The welcome we received at the start was second to none, the staff where always polite and welcoming, the gardening staff where polite and one member also fed the Shetlands and donkey up by us so we could get a better look at them. The staff always very attentive while we had our meals & nothing was to much for them. The house its self is stunning and every time you look around inside and outside you notice another small detail that catches your eye. The craftsmanship that has gone into the house is amazing and unbelievable detail has gone into everything. A real credit to the owners and also the craftsman that helped them achieve it all. The room was brilliant, clean and very well laid out. The main bedroom was nicely laid out and having the tv in the mirror was a very nice touch - something I’ve never seen. The welcoming folder gave all the information you need and even more with suggestions on activities in the local area. The food was lovely and always well presented with a quick service so you weren’t sat around to long waiting. The menu selection was just enough so you could try a-bit of everything throughout your stay. The turn down service when you go down for your evening meal is a very nice touch and is lovely to go back to with the soft music playing as you wind down from your meal and start to relax. We where so impressed by everything we’ve already booked our stay for next year and we are already looking forward to the stay.

nothing couldn’t find anything not to like.
