Had the superior apartment for 3 nights over New Year - 4 of us in the apartment, 2 stayed in the B&B. Excellent house as a base, warm and comfortable with the pub right over the road. Purpose of visit was to chill out, eat, drink and be merry, all of which were achieved! The food in the pub is excellent - fresh and reasonably priced. The staff and the locals were all really friendly and we had a great time in the bar with everyone. Enjoyed it that much we have already booked again for next year!

No spatula so had to do scrambled rather than fried eggs in the morning - although I'm pretty sure that if I had asked they would have got me one! Fantastic place!

The room was modern and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, fan and hairdryer, which could have proved useful. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner were provided. There was also bottled water and hot drinks available. The continental breakfast included cereals, bread/toast, teacakes, scotch pancakes and yoghurts.

It would have been nice to have had some croissants included with the breakfast. However, what was provided was perfectly adequate! My key for the outer door of the pub didn't seem to work, which might need to be checked.

From our arrival at the Blue lion inn all the staff where friendly and helpful. Car parking was no problem, just over the road in private open area. Garden area is closed in area so our dogs where safe off lead whilst we enjoyed a drink in the sunshine. Our bedroom was good size, really nice, relaxing colours, well decorated. Solid wood furniture and large tv on wall, thats if you want to watch tv whilst away. Slept well on comfy kingsize bed and soft pillows. The bathroom was modern, lovely tiles with excellent shower etc. Plenty of towels and bathroom accessories. Great view over to the hills out of window, cute quiet Welsh village with everyone so friendly making it a super evening when entertainment was on, we didnt feel like strangers. Our evening meal was enjoyable and plentiful. Choice of Special menu and normal menu. Continental breakfast was plentiful in nice dining area, everything was clean and well placed. Coffee machine with various choices of coffee. We would recommend everything about The Blue Lion Inn and would definitely go again.

Everything was good, no problems at all. Loved everything about our stay.

Nice room ensuite bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities. We stayed two night but the tea and coffee weren,t refilled on the 2nd day, so we ran out of milk.

Booked for Sunday night although we booked our arrival time at between 21.00 and 22.00, there was no- one thereto let us in, eventually our phonecall was answered and someone came to let us in after waiting 20 mins in the rain and cold! The breakfast was continental and there was plenty of choice, but there was no butter/ spread available to put on the toast!

The room was well decorated, and looked and felt fresh and cozy, the bathroom and shower was was also very clean and fresh. Shower was decent. Bed was super comfortable also. A decent range of breakfast options in the morning,. We ate at the pub, and the food was beautifully cooked and presented, all the staff were polite helpful. We 100% recommend staying here, and for the money, it exceeded our expectations. Completely happy with our stay and accommodation, will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Wales. 5 stars

The staff were very helpful and the room was nice.

Unfortunately they had an issue in the kitchen and so weren't able to provide cooked meals. I wasn't made aware of this before I arrived and hadn't eaten anything and there was nowhere nearby to go for a meal and also wasn't able to get anything delivered from the local town. The staff were great though & let me use the microwave to heat up a ready meal that I bought from the local spar shop which I just got in before it closed.

Had a brilliant time staying at The Blue Lion. Was made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. I was a bit dissapointed that there was no food on in the pub for another week whilst doing a menu update and changing chefs so had to go to the next village to eat. The room was lovely, you could smell the fresh clean linen as soon as you walked into the room. The room was modern and clean with nice decor as was the bathroom with a great shower. The pub itself was great with all the locals really welcoming and friendly. We had people buying us drinks and having conversations with us, we wer even invited to a party. Absolutely lovely people, if you stay here you won't be dissapointed.

Plenty of parking for guests, lovely clean big rooms lots of space in apartment. Good quality shampoo provided (no conditioner). Quite area very peaceful.

Description didn't make it clear that only 2/3 apartments had a hot tub, we were the one apartment that didn't so were quite disappointed. Also found out on arrival that breakfast was not included or available to buy for those in the apartments.

The room was very nicely presented and clean and warm as it was a cold January night. The bed was comfortable with good linen. Decent size TV. A comfy chair would have been nice but there was limited space. The breakfast was very basic - cereal, yogurt, limited thin bread (3 slices brown, 3 slices white), tea, coffee, juice and fruit - not my idea of a 'continental' breakfast but adequate for the price we paid. We had hoped to have an evening meal there but the kitchen was closed so we had to find somewhere else fairly local. Overall, a very pleasant stay for the price we paid.

Spacious bedroom with a nice bathroom and shower. Food was excellent on both nights plus real ale on the bar. Breakfast is self service continental with plenty of choice of cereals, toast and jam plus pastries. Local shop and post office across the road which is open long hours.

Needed a few more coat hangers and maybe a hook on bedroom and bathroom doors for coats etc. otherwise everything we needed.
