The hotel is in the middle of Bath, very convenient with a big safe underground car park round the corner. Parking was reasonably priced for a city. Check in was through the lovely, cosy pub under the hotel but the staff knew exactly what to do and it was very efficient and friendly. The room was on the top floor, 3 flights to walk up so with all that hard work done we felt justified in all our food choices. The room was really comfortable and well stocked with fresh milk, top quality tea and coffee and a few chocolate biscotti which were delicious. The bed was big and comfortable with lovely linen and the bath room was stylish with a great shower/wetroom and nice toiletries. Breakfast was served in the hotel and the English Breakfast was delicious although we didn't try any of the healthy options and the coffee was superb.

For the price we couldn't fault it, we really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous unique hotel with tonnes of character, in a great location. We absolutely loved the decor in the room, and it was larger than we expected. Staff were really lovely and helpful, and breakfast was great. We were also offered a complimentary drink from the pub next door. A good shower, and luxury toiletries were appreciated. The music playing on the vintage style radio in the room was a nice touch when we first got to our room. We emailed ahead of time to make sure it was OK to leave our bags with the hotel until check in, and when we arrived later in the day to check in, bags had been placed in our room. We also left bags with them whilst we were out and about after checkout which was really helpful. Tip- check in, drop off or collect bags at either the cafe or the pub to either side, you'll also get a key to the hotel part from here.

The cafe was really quiet at breakfast which felt a little uncomfortable at times, music playing a little louder would've added some atmosphere.

The staff were very helpful. It was a good clean room with character. The showers were very good and overall a very enjoyable stay.

There were a lot of stairs to our room which did not realise there would be and it was a bit of a workout for older me, though was true in most places we visited in Bath. If you have any mobility problems, let them know beforehand. Also there was a fair bit of noise from the traffic behind the hotel at early rush hour in the morning. Lastly the temperature in some of the rooms. Because they were small it got rather warm . Although fans were provided they were rather noisy.

The entire property was extremely convenient and centrally located. We traveled by car and had no problem finding parking at a nearby public garage. We had a great experience with the staff, who greeted us very warmly and helped us get set up with our room right away. The room was comfy and super cute. The bathroom was amazing—fantastic updated shower and sink and a toasty towel warmer. We had the window open overnight and didn’t have any issues with street noise (keep in mind, this was a weeknight in the off-season). We enjoyed our breakfast in the beautifully designed downstairs cafe.

The room was a little too warm for us, but we appreciated that the hotel provided a fan in the room which really helped make the temperature more bearable.

The room was tastefully decorated, and really spacious. Everything felt new and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and products were great quality. There was cute little touches that really elevated the whole place (pillow spray, ear plugs, radio, complimentary prosecco) and made you feel really taken care of. The breakfast was truly delightful, way better than I expected, made to order. Possibly the best English breakfast I've ever had. The location was perfect to explore Bath, and just a short walk from the station. It's perfect for a weekend away or even a working trip.

It was impossible to get in touch with the hotel beforehand. I called and emailed in advance, but got no response. The staff that were taking care of breakfast were not around outside of those hours, but it's not really (It's a B&B next to a pub, after all!) as much as an observation, something to keep in mind if you're arriving early.

Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Location is great being near the centre. The sister venue the pig and fiddle next door was also lovely and again staff were excellent. We ate there in the evening and the meal was reasonably priced and very good. Our breakfast was included and the meal itself was one of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve ever had. Coffee was also top notch. The townhouse cafe is a beautiful little venue. Great view from the front bedrooms. Noise was mentioned a lot in some reviews but even on a busy Saturday night it wasn’t any worse than any other hotels I have stayed in Bath (considering the age of the buildings, single glazing etc)

The room was nice though a little on the small side. It was very warm though a fan was provided and the glasses supplied were a little dusty. 3 floors without a lift with luggage wasn’t easy.

Great location a short stroll from all of Bath's attractions, but also just far enough away from the crowds. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Lovely room and facilities (proper coffee, great shower, nice decor, etc. Breakfast was delicious. Way better than what you traditionally expect from what is essentially a room above a pub.

Staff, whilst very friendly, were a bit scatty and didn't seem ready for guests to arrive. They were also struggling a little with the busy breakfast service. Not a big problem though. Our room at the top of the building was really hot, with two fans on, on a day when outside temperatures were ~22oC. Any warmer and we wouldn't have been able to sleep so some small air con units of some sort are definitely needed.

The place has e very nice ambience. It is an old building, well preserved. The room was cosy, comfortable bed. Great touch with the free drinks in the minibar! The breakfast was really nice.

The room was a bit on the small side and with all the furnishings seemed a bit cluttered. The bathroom seemed more spacious than the room itself. Also, the windows are single glazed and the noise from the street could be heard at all times.

A lovely property beautifully decorated with lots of little personal touches in the room. All the staff were lovely & nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated in the centre of Bath ideally placed for the main attractions, shops, bars & restaurants. Breakfast was included & the food was outstanding with a good vegetarian range.

Our room was small with a spacious bathroom which was fine for us but if you want something a little bigger maybe check when booking. The room could be very warm during the day but there was a Dyson fan in the room so you know that the staff are aware & trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Having said that it cools of an evening & I had the best 2 nights sleep I’ve had in a very long time. Last point our room overlooked the back of the property & next door is a very nice pub restaurant but you can smell the grill cooking. None of these are reasons not to book this fabulous hotel just things to be aware of when booking.

I stayed in room 1 which was decorated quite beautifully. The large windows looked over a relatively busy street but allowed lots of sunlight in.

The only slight negative (and this is being quite picky) is that the shower needed a little maintenance. Needed a strong hand to be able to turn the the temperature control. I stayed in one of the rooms previously and absolutely loved the retro radio playing classic FM, was slightly disappointed that it wasn’t a feature in this room.
